    Yellow supra

I saw that one and thought it was real cheap. I'm working in Aylesbury at the moment, which I think is quite near so I might check it out. The wheels aren't included (extra), so it would be interesting to see if the standard ones are. If you check it out, let us know how it is Boneyard. What condition etc As for yellow - I like it! I'm not too sure about NA VVTI, I was 99% sure they were just TTs and added extra 25BHP but I'm probably wrong and well out of my league!
  2. No NOS for me I'm afraid! Wouldn't mind though.... I'm selling soon so...must...resist!
  3. Whoops! Is this a new section or something!?
  4. Absolutely brilliant post. This should be saved in the technical section or resource section or something. It would be good to have one of these where bits could be added to and amended etc. I for one am definitely going to be saving it.
  5. That it was one long sentence! I started to read it but got a headache
  6. Hi tbourner You sound exactly like me! I haven't got a clue either! I keep telling myself I'm going to learn something about cars soon but still don't have a clue Scooter - Nice post mate! That should be saved in the FAQ or technical section or something. Was there ever a Haynes manual for the Supe? Or is it just these workshop manuals everyone keeps talking about importing from the U Someone with a clue should make a video or something showing how the simpler maintenance bits are done. It could be really cheesey and aimed at Supra-no-nothings like myself.
  7. I don't know about the price, but that's stunning! I haven't seen many white veilsides and that is quality!
  8. That was a great read! What's this about "the other side" and "the big split"!? I didn't realise there was so much controversey involved on these boards, it's like watching the soaps! Great fun!
  9. That drive through the New Forest was good fun, I'm pretty gutted I didn't head up to Basingstoke but was getting a headache from all the driving and was supposed to be going out! Quality photos Millhouse
  10. I know I'm posting in the technical section, so you'll have to excuse my non-technical terminology. I've just been round a mates and on the way there I thought there was a bird following me as I kept hearing chirping every now and then. After a while, I realised it was my car! If I accelerate slowly, then ease off, it starts chirping. The noise is coming from either the passenger side rear wheel, or the exhaust, suspension or somewhere in that area. It only happens when I'm driving, so until I can get it on a ramp I'm stuck. I'm going to Spain tomorrow, and don't want to be thinking my poor car's buggered all week! (Sorry if some of you misintepret that!) I had new tyres put on a couple of weeks ago, but I really don't know what to look for with this. It might be as simple as a bit of WD40 on something... ...any ideas anyone for a technical simpleton!?
  11. Hey folks My Supe's speedo etc is all in KM. I think it was imported around 1996, and I guess it's never been converted to MPH. Maybe it had a sticker chucked over it for the test or something. Were the SVA rules different back then? I'm pretty certain they need to be converted now when cars are imported. Is there any legal obligation on me to have a speedo in MPH? Just wondering whether it would be a problem if I got pulled or whatever. Any have / had the same?
  12. I'm up for meeting at Rownhams for the ride down.
  13. Noooooo! I've been booked on a working holiday to Spain - Which is good because I get to be in the sun all day, but bad because I'm going to miss the Karting. I'm going from 3rd to 10th which is a bummer, as I was really looking forward to this. Bournemouth Massif SimonB Dangerous Brain The Real Brain ie mrs dangerous Tim Steve W2 What do you guys want to do? I can try and get someone to take my place - I think Millhouse said he wanted to go. Or you could go as a team of 5 (little bit more cash, but more racing time!) I haven't paid my deposit yet (was going to pay on the night) but if no-one wants to take my place, or you guys / girl want 6 on the team for definite then I'm sure I'll be able to find a mate from round here to go. I'll be back on the 10th in time for the Bournemouth meet on the 12th so feel free to abuse me then!
  14. Count me in! I got the PM thanks Jive. I get back from Spain a couple of days before, so hopefully I wont be too red! Which reminds me - I need to go onto the Karting thread and tell the bad news 1. Steve W2 2. Tim Wildman 3. WSB2 4. Dangerous Brain 5. MiztheWiz (is he local?) (Yes i am local lol) 6. Ashley Willis (TT to NA conversion) 7. Suprababe (maybe) 8. Jive 9. Jamin (hopefully) 10. Millhouse 11. p00t 12. Wipeout (keeping an eye on thread, depends on work) 13. suprachargedtt (waiting for hybrids to be sorted) 14. Suprasaint 15. Elliot Suprasaint, I'm from Fareham/Gosport so am up for meeting for the trip down there
  15. Toyoda Tech, near Fareham - I think a few people on here use them.
  16. The service was £215, the rest is made up of 2 rear tyres (£170 each!! ) I was expecting those, but wasn't expecting... ...front brake discs and pads, and alternator belt. With VAT and labour was £1040. Gutted!
  17. I had the RAC out this morning to jump it. He couldn't find any problems with the alternator etc so reckons they probably ran it dead at the garage (stereo or lights on with the doors open) then jump started it. The drive to my house is only around 10 minutes so it might not have charged the battery enough. Anyway, after running it for half hour I went to the garage and when filling up noticed my fog lights were on!! The little alarm goes off when you open the door if you've left your normal lights on, but not the fog lights. I'm putting it down to the driver (or mechanic) flicking the switch by accident and then not realising the fog lights were on when he got out the car (no buzzer) as it was sunny yesterday he wouldn't have seen. Hopefully that's the end of it now!

Sounds like someone got a dog!
  19. Is the starter motor in an area which might have been messed with during the service? Is there any basic checks I can do on it now?
  20. I've had a service today and yesterday, and the car has been returned to me this afternoon. I've just got in a few minutes ago to move it round the back and - wahey - it wont start! When I put the key in the ignition and turn it, there's a clicking sound. All the lights are lit up. I'm guessing the battery is flat One of the jobs they did was replacing the 'alternator belt' so I'm guessing it's something to do with this. Anyone know how this could have messed things up? I've never had a problem with the battery before, so don't have much of a clue. I'm tempted to try and jump start it, but I think I remember horror stories about resetting the ECU etc! I have a Clifford 600 alarm on there. Luckily BlackJax anti-hijacking has been disbled. Any ideas anyone? Where shall I begin!!? I'm supposed to be driving to Swindon at 7am in the morning, but it's looking increasingly unlikely! I don't want to jump it, and get there and the battery be flat again if it is the belt! Hmm, I spend £1040 at a garage and can't drive my car the next day - does this cheese anyone else off!? Sorry, the invoice was £1040 - I got charged £1047 for some reason - guess I'll find out tomorrow.
  21. Passive arming (!) What's that? (desperately searches book) I have to leave any minute so if it is on, it may have to stay on

I've been looking at the A1 catalogue the last couple of weeks since someone posted it. I've been trying to get down there but things keep popping up! This Thursday I have my bike test, so I'm going to try the Monday one and just have a look. I'm not taking any money down, but wouldn't mind checking out the cars, to see what nick they are in. We should have a group trip down. We could walk round looking at the cars and Thunder can slag them off, and CJ can defend them! We could have voting and polls, and live phone ins and maybe get some sort of TV show going
  23. All done! Thanks for that Matt - much appreciated. You should write the Clifford book, it's well confusing until someone with some sense points out how to do it! I managed to do it on one leg, patting my head and rubbing my nose, but couldn't manage the skipping - maybe I'll practice that when I turn the anti-hijack back on! Am I correct in thinking that all the service people need now is the alarm fob, and don't need to know my valet code? Will there be any problems if they remove/play around with the battery? I can't see why they should need to, but they might need to reach something down there or whatever.
  24. Thanks Matt I found that in the book about half hour ago and have been trying it since, but couldn't get it to work. I found out how to do valet mode though! I didn't get the 2 chirp confirmation though, so maybe I was pressing the star button too quickly. I'll go and try out the right way now and let you know how it goes. I've had this car/clifford around 8 months now and I can't believe I've waited for the night before this service to find out how to disable the anti-hijack! - I'm well slack!
  25. I don't think there is a tamper mode on the 600 (that I've heard of) Anyone know any different? Would they need to take the battery out for any reason do you think?
