  1. Pleb question, but is it..... "N..U...R" or "NUR" (one word!) or "Newer" Any other confusing words anyone can think of?!
  2. Sweet! You got a pic of mine - nice one (number sm8) Plenty of nice cars there today, shame there wasn't enough parking space. Took me ages to get out & couldn't find where everyone had gone (Japspeed?) so was a bit gutted!
  3. Hmmm...I'm lowered! Maybe someone should bring some DIY ramps or a powerful disc cutter for the speed bumps. Does anyone know the weather forecast for the 11th?
  4. Wow, this looks like it's gunna be big!! is there a back up plan for parking if the stores are busy?
  5. The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned, as long as there's room at the carpark!
  6. I've been in New Zealand so have only just found out about this one. I've been to a couple of meets down this way (Bun Penny, Lee on Solent gumball & 'jap' car meet in the same location as this one) but I had my silver supe, I've now got a black blitz one so see you all there! I hope everyone turns up, it's gonna be sweet having loads of supes & other nice cars there
  7. Hmmm, is that Fareham creek? Does that road follow round to the traffic lights where the garage (under Newgate lane) is? If so, I live around 5 minutes from there, I'm gunna run round & pinch your white uk headlamp cleaners & stick em on my black Supe, will look well classy!
  8. Any Spanish speakers out there? One of my mates told me the other day that Supra is Spanish for snake... can anyone confirm this? Does it mean anything else in any other languages?
  9. The bodykit looks lower than the wheels! Especially on that grass. Apart from that, I think it's not bad, especially the boot install.
  10. Does the NUR spec set off your own alarm? ] I have a Clifford 600 on mine (which I still can't use properly!) & want to get an NUR spec after xmas - if it will go on a NA ok & there are no alarm problems...
  11. I'd prefer the HKS out of the two, especially in a black car. The other one seems too red!
  12. Got it - try this http://www.supras.co.uk/resources/MkIV/tips/antenna.htm
  13. I had a new one fitted just before I sold my old supe, as the last one was getting jammed & not going all the way down etc. I think the actual aerial cost £26. I'm pretty certain there's a 'DIY' guide for putting a new one in on some supe site, I just don't remember which.
  14. If only I had some common sense - I'd have thought about that myself! Now, just gotta find out what brake fluid to use....
  15. Just the thread I was looking for! I've had my new Supe a couple of weeks now, but for various reasons I haven't been able to drive it much, but I seem to have the same problem when braking hard AND flooring it! I haven't checked the brake fluid level yet so that's probably why, but I can't see why the lights would go on when accelerating hard though. I just assumed it was the car telling me to go easy on the poor bugger! I'll top up with brake fluid before I drive it next, what should I use, and can I get it from Halfords or the garage or what? Stephen - sorry to jump in on your thread like this! Do you get the lights come on when accelerating swiftly!?
  16. That is one chunky book! I'd probably be interested in one (not sure why, my Nan probably knows more about cars than me!)
  17. Hi all I know it's a bit late, but I might pop up tonight as I told one of my mates about it & he wanted to go (we finished uni early as well, rather than 6pm) Anyone going from Portsmouth / Southampton way? I saw 3 supes earlier (around 3.30pm) driving past Southampton Institute. Obviously I'm gonna have to leave soon, so anyone on here at the mo?
  18. I just got through my MOT a few days ago & they advised one of them was leaking, and one was knocking!
  19. Hi all I'm afraid I'm out of the running this weekend. I've got a deposit down on my new Supe. So don't wanna crash/drive my car before I sell it which would leave me owing several people several pounds! Hopefully I'll have my new one Thursday & my old one sold soon. It seems nice, so I'm hoping it's not gonna give me any grief!
  20. Hmmm, I had 4 new tyres fitted this week with my service & suddenly developed this shakey steering wheel problem when driving 90mph+ (on a track of course!) I assumed it was the new tyres being cold/not run-in. Does it seem likely they've been thrown on poorly & need re-alignment then? I should hope not, as I'm selling the car & don't want to pass it on, if it should be sorted with the garage first. Should you have to pay extra to have them alligned when fitted? I thought that would be included anyway!
  21. Hi Steve Westbound is (I think) the side heading TOWARDS Poole from Portsmouth / Southampton. ie heading to the west side of the country. Which means you will probably have to pass the eastbound services and come back on yourself, unless you wanna drive up the wrong side of the motorway! Looks like there's gunna be 5 or 6 of us there, so it shouldn't be too hard to spot - see you there.
  22. Thanks for that - I think I'll start using it then! Hopefully it will do the engine good, and maybe people who see me filling up might think it's a TT!
  23. I've had my Supra just over a year now. It's an import NA. When I bought it, I asked about the fuel & the guy said he used normal unleaded, which is what I've carried on using with no problems. After finding this excellent site around a month ago, I've noticed everyone is going on about Optimax. Would I be better using that or super-unleaded rather than the normal unleaded I've been using? Would it make much difference to the performance, or would it just treat the engine better? Is it just a TT thing?! Also, I'm nearly out of fuel so will be filling up in the morning, so any replies would be gratefully received by then! Is it OK to switch from normal unleaded to super unleaded or optimax, my tanks pretty low so I doubt there would be much mixing! I must sound pretty niave now!
  24. I'm up for it - You'll have to put up with my squeaky clutch though! What's the plan then? - I'm quite happy meeting at Rownham's station if anyone else is. Would be fun if a few of us could get together and drive down to the meet together. I'll be there around 8pm. Silly question, but what side of the motorway is it on? I'm heading from Fareham, is it just past the M3 turn off? (still on the M27) Anyone going from Fareham / Portsmouth? Is there a list who's going? I'm in.... Elliot
  25. Hmmm, could have aim! I have a really annoying squeaky clutch though which should get sorted in my service & MOT on the 22nd. Shame it's not after then. If there's enough Supras going, I'm up for it. I could hide the squeakiness in the convoy! I think there's a thread on squeaky clutches here, but nothing seemed to get sorted out. I'm going to recheck it now & hopefully I'll get it sorted! It would be good if the meet was confirmed as well!
