Howdy ho peeps Basicly, although silver is a great colour I'm going to get a new bodykit & re-spray (hopefully over xmas) I'm keeping the Carbon Fibre bonnet & CF Spoiler, but getting rid of the Toyota spats & skirts. Then I'm getting Veilside skirts & spats & probably Bomex nose. Now, what colour? I've always wanted gold, but I'm beginning to have doubts. I'm thinking of the Impreza blue or maybe yellow? I know there's quite a lot of nice blue Supes around and some very nice yellow ones, but I've seen both with the same kit combination & don't want to be too similar/steal their ideas! I just think maybe gold is a bit much unless you've got a widebody kit or running 2000 BHP (allegedly of course!)

Hmm, I'm sorely tempted - haven't been to a meet in ages, but am worried about my possible power steering leak! Let me get this right, you're in the pub from 8pm till close? Don't half of you get hammered!? Anything happening during/afterwards? Like a spirited drive or anything?

Last night I went for a little drive, and pulled into a car park. The space I went into required full lock on the wheel & when I pulled in, I left the turbo timer / engine running for 2 minutes whilst I got out. Coming through the right bonnet vent was quite a lot of steam/smoke & dripping under the car was quite a lot red/brown liquid. Both the smoke & dripping stopped after about 15 minutes. I checked under the bonnet & the area most affected was the pipe coming out of the power steering tank, but there was this fluid sprayed around in the near vicinity & had puddled in the radiator tray & other areas. The parking space was on quite a steep slope downwards so I thought maybe it was the PS reservoir thingy(!) overflowing Although it did look like some had come come out I thought it more likely the hose had split but I can't see anything. I've measured the fluid this morning & it seems fine so might not even be that! Maybe it was overfilled as there was a hell of a lot on the floor! Does the fluid get really hot for any particular reason & force its way out sometimes? Anyone had any similar problems, or any idea what it might be? I don't want to drive the car if it's anything serious

Hmm, tough one... I love the look of the blended in kits, but can appreciate how hard it is to do & then keep it in good condition (ie not running into a kerb & destroying it!) The 'industrial' look is nice too, but not as IMHO. Back to the drawing board I think
-
I'll have to go for the Samurai then!
-
Why's that? Are you replacing with the Bomex!?
-
'The Golden Bookend' sounds good to me! If you're going for the same kit then maybe you should get a gold spray too & be the other bookend! I like the Samurai front, but CJ has got that combination. I'll e-mail you for the Lambo colours in a minute, but am pretty set on gold.
-
I'm (hopefully) going for veilside spats, sideskirts, overfenders and probably Bomex nose - think that'll look OK? Then going for the Gold respray! The only thing I'm worried about is being called a Paperweight wannabee! Oh yeah - any traders / bodyshops / sprayers reading this, I'm going to be conpiling a list & photos of the niggly little bits that need doing, then e-mailing you in the future to get the ball rolling!
-
Very nice. I seriously want those now! They'd have to be blended in if possible though/ That's one nice Supra, except for the front isn't really my cup of tea.
-
Nice pics Rogue - that's exactly what I'm looking for. Paul - Is Dazzspeed any different to the Veilside ones, or just a different name?
-
Nice one CJ! Are they blended in, or just stuck on? Also, are the screw/bolt holes filled? Were they expensive? Look forward to getting a price cheers Chris I'm looking at getting Veilside skirts, spats, possibly arches & probably the Bomex front bumber. Your's is a Miami GT Samurai right CJ? Don't wanna nick all of your ideas! On the other hand, I like the Border bodykit....
-
That looks like them, shame the door is open so you can't see the join with the sideskirt etc. I'm not sure about the front arch meeting the bodykit, otherwise I think they're pretty good
-
Is there a similar piece for the front arches as well anyone?
-
I found a pic of these which I haven't seen before and thought they looked pretty cool, so came up with a 'few' questions! Does anyone have any more pics of them? Anyone know how much they cost? Are they a good fit? (Do they look good?) Can they be blended into the body? Can the 'screw' holes or whatever they are be filled in once fitted? Thanks all
-
Does anyone have any photo's of any GOLD Supes they could post up on here please? Don't ask why...

Hi Warped I've had 2 NAs and loved every minute in both of them! After my driving test I had an '84 Golf, then a 97' Mondeo then moved onto an NA and it felt like a Ferrari! I have a TT now, but glad I had a couple of years experience driving the NA, as there certainly is plenty of power available in them to whoop 90% of cars on the road, whilst not being 'too' powerful! (ie wheelspinning at 60mph like I did last night!) I've never driven a 200sx, or a 300zx for that, and I know they're quick, but let's face it they're not half as nice as a Supra. The 300zx is bloody quick, but how outdated does it look? The 200sx? - ugly IMHO. I suppose I'm biased as I love Supras, but even my mates suggest to me that Supras still look like they were designed/made this year rather than 12 years ago! Have you driven an NA yet? The manual is great. The auto is a bit slow to get moving but soon picks up speed.

Haha! Just what he said I'm afraid! Maybe they get a better profit on the Falkens then, as the prices of the other tyres were a lot more.
-
When I phoned them they recommended the same make all round, as I was going to get F1's or SO3's on the back. My front tyres are Falken and pretty new so I went with the Falkens at the rear at around £120 each.
-
Hola At the moment I have Falken tyres all round. The 2 rear tyres are almost bald so need to replace them ASAP. Is it advisable to put some Eagle F1s, or Bridgestone SO3s on the rear with Falken fronts, or should I stick to Falken all round? Basicly, is it OK to mix and match them? Also, does anyone in HAMPSHIRE have any recommendations for tyre fitting / laser allignment? At the moment, I have the number for Micheldever in Winchester are they any good, or is there somewhere cheaper or better in the area? BTW - I'm looking for 275/35/zr18 Thanks for helping
-
WSB2 - Do it! You wont regret it There are some such cheap TTs at the moment, and with NA prices dropping you should jump ship while you can still get a half decent amount for yours! I suppose the next couple of months will be the best time to buy as well (traditionally it's a buyers market before xmas) BTW Folks.... I've had a look at the rear visor tonight, and taken the brackets off, but there looks like there's a long strip of double-sided tape along it holding it down! I'll have another look tomorrow in the daylight, but don't want to wreck the paintwork yet as I haven't decided when I'll get the car resprayed. If I can't get it off safely tomorrow, then it wont be for sale until the respray.
-
LOL @DB You're right though, I had to jump on the NA to TT bandwagon before I missed the boat! Red - I went to Rowner junior school, then was packed off to boarding school in Ipswich!
-
A bag?! It is a normal Supra! Just one with a slightly more pronounced spoiler!
-
What I meant with the radiator was the bit cut into the original front (it's located there). Pretty much all the bodykits accomodate the intercooler! Is the Wings West just a front lip? It looks good, but I'm thinking a completely new bodykit (& colour), just not sure which though. I'm going to have a good look at some, have a good think & then come up with a list. Little bits like the numberplate black things, radio antenna etc all need sorting.
-
Hold on chappies! I love the wing - it's the roof spoiler thing we were talking about (I think!) Wings West? I better check that one out too... It is Alans old car, and yes - it is quick!
