WSB2 - You're right, the window visor / spoiler is definitely going. I've seen posts about people wanting to buy them, and I have no idea why! I'm not too keen on the front bumper either, it's just the stock one with a notch out for the radiator. NA to TT difference? Unbelievable mate! Although it's got some tasty mods I was only running on stock boost, but it's quite scary how bloody quick it is. There's plenty of red TTs for sale recently if you're after one! Dibbs - Would a bomex accomodate the radiator as well? I can't remember where all the inlets are etc. I'll have a browse in a minute As for the Blitz badge, there's loads of stickers etc dotted around. The badge isn't the worst bit, but it probably will go, or be moved when I get the work done

Hehe - picked up the 'animal' yesterday - it's unbelievably quick! 95 TT auto with some nice mods. Had the previous owner turn the boost down to stock for me so I could get home in one piece in the rain! Also, the two rear tyres are bald! Was a bit 'eager' to overtake a modded Celica near where I live & slightly lost it going passed him, fishtailing (crapped myself!) Needless to say I wont be doing that again for a while - sorry Celica man! I've got a few ideas of cosmetic stuff I want done to it, but performance wise it's just what I wanted. BTW - the graphics are no longer on the car! As it's my first turbo car (God help us!) I'm going to be asking loads of noob questions in the near future. Some pics for those interested...

Hi Jurgen, off topic I know, but is that white 6 speed you have for sale? If so how much & what's the spec!?
-
Hi Lee Welcome mate. Was that the green one being sold by Bonsai cars that you've bought?
-
Thanks Homer, it does seem like it could be pretty much anything though! There seems to be lots of different people with different opinions on what it could be. Did you say the smoke has got worse & bluer? Which I guess can mean it's the turbos going eventually? I got the train up to see the car, so couldn't follow it to see for smoke. Depending on a few other issues with the car, I might put a bid in still, but don't want to buy a dog!

Thanks for the replies folks. It's definitely the CF blade that's rattling, but the boot rubbers are worn as well. How do you take the blade out? I guess that when it was put in it was in 2 pieces hence the filler & sanding job on it (looks a bit tacky!). Also, should there be any support, like a bar running through it? It's just that it feels really flimsy.
-
Do you mean an oil seal in the turbos or what? Is there somewhere I can read up on this? Sorry, I have no clue about turbo cars (never had one). In fact, I have no clue about any cars!
-
Are both of yours original or copies? are they normally carbon fibre? I never realised.

Went to see a nice TT yesterday. We went for a spirited drive down the dual carriageway before pulling into a petrol station where I noticed smoke / steam coming from the grill bit by the window. We moved the car somewhere safe & popped the bonnet. The only thing I could see that might be doing it was a load of fluid that looks like it has been blown out of the dump valve (HKS). I sort of understand these blow out the excess pressure / gas or whatever from the turbos, but would they be blowing out oil, because below it there seemed to be quite a build up of 'runny oil' settling below (dripping off the induction pipe - not linlet!) on the engine. Just thought this might indicate something wrong with the turbos or whatever? The car seemed fine & absolutely rocketed from 4000rpm upwards!

Can any Veilside rear spoiler owners help me out here? I went to see a TT yesterday. It has a veilside kit fitted. The spoiler looks to be black/carbon fibre with the rest being silver. The thing that worried me was the rattling everytime we went over a bump! At speed it seemed OK, just every now & then it would rattle - is this normal? Also, the front and back of the carbon fibre bit have been filled & sanded. I didn't realise it was two seperate parts, just thought it would be one wing?

Chris, is yours a manual or auto? Has anyone with BPU done a 0-60 run recently & been timed? It would be interesting to know what mods and whether it was a manual or auto. The only reason is that I wasn't too worried about getting an auto until I saw the official difference between them and the manuals. Now I'm thinking it's definitely got to be a manual!
-
I had the good fortune to find the original Supra sale brochure/booklet at the car boot on Sunday (for 30p!) It claims a manual 0-60 is 4.9, with auto being 5.6. Can anyone verify this? I remember reading somewhere that autos were 5.1. I can't check the site for a day or two, but would be interested to know when I get back!

I can't quite afford it at the moment Paul. A couple more months & I should be able to - I'm on £150 a day, have cleared all my debts & my balance is rising steadily!
-
Yeah, it sold in Autotrader. I wanted to put it on eBay as well, for the extra coverage & better description & photo etc, but I've been working away & didn't get round to it. I'll probably wait till the end of the summer to buy a TT as I've just paid a load of money I owed & by October or whatever I'll know what budget I'll have. I was thinking about buying one with the bodykit, wheels & sensible mods done already as well, unless I got one real cheap in which case I'd probably go for a total respray.
-
Glad I didn't listen to you lot! Sold to the first viewer for £8100.
-
Sorry guys - I wont be making it. Steve phoned me last night, around 20 minutes after I had sold my Supe! Am well gutted Alas - I was going to travel back from Aylesbury (work) for the night, but there's not much point if I haven't got a car (apart from a company Mondeo!) Have fun, and I'll see you once I've bought my TT!
-
Hmm, maybe I should take the Supe back up to work with me tomorrow morning. I've got nowhere safe to park it up there though.
-
6k's a little low I'm afraid! Whereabouts is Billing BTW? if it's anywhere near Aylesbury I might go.
-
A TT of course! I got fed up of waiting for you to do your engine transplant so we could all copy you! I wont be buying it until the end of the summer, but am working away so don't need it at the moment anyway.
-
Hi folks Tomorrow I'm going to clean the Supe & then list it on Autotrader. I'm working away from home at the moment (in Aylesbury) so not getting to drive it. As it's an aerotop I'd like to sell it now (even though there's no bloody sun!) and buy a TT at the end of the summer before I go back to uni for my final year. I'm earning good money at the moment so hopefully will be able to afford a good'un! First of all, does anyone have any general selling advice? I haven't got all the details with me but hopefully this will give a general indication - December 1994 SZ (NA) Aerotop- I think the document says 1995 though!? - Around 80-90k Km (55000 miles ish?) - Black - Auto - Full Blitz bodykit (with stock spoiler) - Full cream leather interior - 18" BBS alloys - Clarion stereo with 6 CD changer, amp & huge sub - New rear tyres & new front brake discs & pads - Restricted to 112mph still - Serviced around 2 months ago with cambelt change etc - Around 9-10 months MOT left - Imported in 1996 - Japanese history book & all receipts since 1996 - Clifford 600 alarm, with intellistart & lights etc. Anti-hijacking code required every time a door is opened (if turned on!) also has software and leads etc for programming. Obviously I'll know more tomorrow when I get home and double check everything. At which point I'll put it up for sale in here too. Anyone have an idea of what price? I was thinking of starting it reasonably high & dropping if need be. As I'm in Aylesbury & the car is in Gosport (near Portsmouth & Southampton) should I bring it up here, or arrange a day for potential viewers to meet me at home. I think you're supposed to meet people at your house or something. I don't want to bring it up here really as there's not enough room for all my stuff in it & I don't really want to use it as a work car, but don't want to drive home a lot as I'm real busy here! Any help would be appreciated

1) mawby 2) millhouse 3) dangerous brain 4) Elliot (penciled in!) I am working / staying up in Aylesbury at the moment, but should be able to come back hopefully. The other problem is tomorrow (21st) I am heading home and cleaning the Supe, taking photos & listing on autotrader. I might start it on a quite high price but I'm not too sure if I'll still have it on the 30th!
-
Sorry to hear about your problems. I'd personally take the £250 and see if they'll still keep the other £250 for a future purchase. This way they might think they'll get your money in the future. You don't have to use them in the future, but at least it will be an option.
