Hi people Next year I'd like to get a load of work done to the car, so need to start phoning round & getting quotes & booking in advance etc. I've come up with a list of things that I'd like sorted out and done. Obviously bits will change as it progresses, for instance I'm thinking of replacing the standard wing mirrors for the Ganador ones rather than repair the broken passenger side mirror. Anyway, any advice on what I've chosen & where to get the best price and quality would be appreciated. I'm not even 100% sure on the kit combination, I keep changing my mind then going back to it. Oh well, photos of the car at the moment...

Harsh. I hate people who do this. Is it jealousy, or do they genuinely feel good about themselves doing it? When this happens, do people let the Police know? I know it's probably a waste of time, but if enough people do then maybe they'll make the punishment more severe - like only giving them a PS1 to play in jail, rather than a PS2 with widescreen. Then again, the insurers wil probably love a rise in car keying attempts. Sorry to hear about this Far, hope it gets sorted cheaply & painlessly mate.

Exactly! There wouldn't be turbo lag if you dropped into 2nd and sped into the sunset. That test proved nothing other than don't drive a car in top gear unless you're in the correct range to. Also, I think they said it came with a 3 year warranty? So I guess MMC will be spending half of that 47k on repairs!

Hehe - what do I have in mind!? I've been compiling a list of late (geeky I know!) but most of the bits on here, and more as they come along. I'll post below the list & I'll probably post it again tomorrow in a new thread with photos etc for people to give opinions etc (don't want to hijack too much!)

Is it a myth that you have to launch them from 6000 rpm or something to get anywhere near the quoted figures? (plus trying not to stall!) I wouldn't spend 47k on one though, no way (even if I had it!)

Dude, I know it depends on how big the job is etc, but what sort of timeframe would it take to get a Supe in with you for a complete respray? What I mean is, do you have to book months in advance or what?

Did he say 4MPG?????????? I thought the rolling race in top gear was a bit lame, you'd think the other cars top gear is geared for a maximum speed of 110mph or something, whereas the EVO is 175mph, so that didn't suprise me. Why did he keep stalling it as well? It can't be tha bad can it? Anyone know any EVO 8 owners? Or is it just the 400 brake model that has these problems? I thought these were 0-60 in 4.2, not 3.5 as well, or is that just the standard model?

Excellent! I like that Hotwheels set. Is that Scalextric size or smaller? Anyone know where they're available? Xmas just round the corner... I've seen that one on eBay, but it looks a bit naff (first impression). It might be OK close up though.

Spray paint will be quicker & easier

My next door neighbour got 2 years in jail a few years back (around 7 I think now!) for shooting a chav with an air-rifle for constantly hanging around his house & giving him abuse. Then again, he did hit him in the neck & he nearly died. That black house....has it got... "pervert" "kiddy fiddler" "paedo" "molester" ....painted in large white letters all over the house? It might have been done late at night / early in the morning? I don't know, was just asking Has he got dog shit all over the front door handle on a daily basis? I'm sure there's loads of things that can really put them off if the Police can't do anything. Has anyone noticed the Police only really have any power over everyday people who have an indicator out, or are 2mph over the limit, or exhaust is too loud for their liking?

Has anyone with no previous knowledge of making websites set up their own websites, and got them running successfully etc? I'd like to start on a site soon, and just wanted advice on what the best packages are, and any costs involved that I will need to think about. I'm a complete beginner, so any help would be appreciated. Do's & don'ts also appreciated!
