  1. That'd be sweet - I love the look of the R34, would be great to see one up close If you do come, are you bringing the Supe, or is that the reason your mate would be there!? The more the merrier!
  2. It's £15 extra for polish, but it takes a while and I don't know if my laptop battery will last that long (every minute counts until 4pm tomorrow, so I'm going to be doing my work while they wash it!) I've just got a text fom the Steve (the guy sorting this meet out) it is definately (I can never spell that word) on, so............. 7.30 TONIGHT!!! Lidl's carpark, next to McDonalds on Newgate Lane (directions at beginning of thread) Who's up for it then? Looks like 1. Elliot (me - black NA aerotop) 2. Mawby (black TT) 3. Genna (MR2) 4. Suprachris (Silver ??) Very loud? I'm looking forward to it! Is it decatted NUR spec or what? ANYONE ELSE COMING!? I want to see the Skyline, Evo & GTO get whupped! There wasn't any racing last time, just a spirited drive!
  3. Cancel that - I'm going to take the car to a car wash & let someone else do it! I have way too much uni work to worry about these menial tasks!
  4. Good stuff. I'm going to clean the car in a while for tonight. I'll phone the guy a bit later to double-check it's still on. Then I'll confirm it on here again. What time you guys going down there? I'll leave here at 7.30 & get there around 7.35 I suppose Looks like 3 Supras & 1 MR2 - Supra' are going to look well common! Hope it's still sunny & I'll have the roof off
  5. My assignments aren't going well either (1 down, 2 to go by Tuesday!), but it's only a 2 minute drive for me so I'm going to go down for an hour. As I've been hecticly trying to do these assignments, the Supe is totally filthy so will need to give it a good wash first on Monday. I've been driving it around with the roof off, which is great, but it's embarressing as there's so much dirt on it. I haven't shaved for over a week either and to say I look like a tramp at the moment is a bit of an understatement! People must think I live in my car or something & can't afford a razor or car wash!
  6. Looks like they've got quite a few Supras in stock. Their guide prices seem quite high though really
  7. A guy called Steve, who organised it last year. He lives in the area & drives a nice looking purple GTO. He phoned me out of the blue last night & told me there was going to be another one this monday.
  8. Nice one. Has anybody got the website of the one in Southampton (if they have a website!)
  9. No DB, it's around 20 minutes drive from there (towards Portsmouth) If you know where Fareham is, it's a 2 minute drive from the Town Centre. I'm only going to pop along for an hour or so, as I have 3 MASSIVE assignments to be in by 4pm on Tuesday & I haven't started any of them yet!
  10. Is that the place near the new football ground and the Elliott's building supplies etc? Do they get many Supes down there? Have you been down Leett?
  11. There's someone on here selling their Supra at the moment with a decent Supra numberplate on it. I think its M1 SUP (My Supe) or something. He's selling it with the car, but it might be worth asking... Someone might know who I am on about!?
  12. This is on next Monday. (26th April) around 7.30pm It wont be a massive meet, but there will be a few nice Jap cars there - Me (!), a few GTOs, Skyline, Civic, GT4, EVO etc I think the plan is just meet up for a while & check out the cars, then go for a 'blast'! I went to it last year & it was good fun - the cars were nice & people were friendly. I think I was the only car without a turbo of some sort, so would be nice to see a TT or two down there, or just another NA so I'm not lonely!! The only problem is that the intial meeting place is next to a McD's, so hopefully the 'Kevs' (apologies to anyone called Kev!) don't start doing donuts in their Novas & Fiestas etc! If anyone is up for it, it's initially in LIDLs car park on Newgate Lane, around 7.30 If you need directions just head into Fareham Central from the motorway & turn up the A32 towards Gosport. This is a dual carriageway, you stay in the right hand lane on this (WATCH THE SPEED CAMERA!) & it eventually goes over a bridge. Stay on this road, then just AFTER the 2nd roundabout turn left, then left again & Lidls is on your right. I'll post again on Monday to confirm this - anyone up for it?
  13. Put it this way - next time there's one down there, give me a shout! Are they straight off the boat? I supposed you'd have to get them SVA'd and all that stuff though & doesn't that cost quite a lot? Does the £5k include the VAT & buyers premium etc?
  14. That's a hell of a lot of cash! Do you have a breakdown of what you spent it on? ie how much for each bits etc Does it feel a lot faster? I don't suppose you've done any 0-60, 0-100 or quarter miles times yet...would be nice to know how much difference it all made I thought you already had a nice boot install? I saw it at one of the meets (Southampton I think) This is the pre-pink stage! Look forward to seeing it in the future.
  15. I must admit the stock alloys are pretty lame. I think I said I had Blitz 18's? I have BBS - not Blitz I know what you mean about the nosecone scraping - I dread every speedbump & road camber (especially into petrol stations)! So far though I've kept it in great condition.
  16. I think it looks nice with the colour coded interior, are you going for a bodykit or leaving it standard DB? I'm well looking forward to the results of the transplant. Poole is less than an hour away from me, so will see you at one of the meets I expect! Sorry Kev, I'm 90% certain I'm going to keep it now. I've had the roof off the last couple of days & it (or me!?!) gets even more stares, waves, whistles than normal! I even worked out how to store the roof in the boot yesterday!
  17. You have got a dangerous brain! Twin engined Supra - slightly crazy! When are you thinking about doing the TT transplant? Would be great to know what the costs involved are, especially as there are so many people crashing at the moment & all those spare engines about!
  18. I forgot that option That's a darn good idea, but I'd have to see it reliably done first, but isn't someone on here starting that? I remember 'Jagman'(?) exploring the possibility a few months back, and I'm pretty sure someone was on here recently saying they was donating their car for science! Seriously though - can anyone remember if this is a sane & economical option?
  19. Leet - I know what you mean about paying cheap, getting cheap - that's why I was worried about getting one of these dirt cheap TTs - I wonder if there is anyone who's bought a cheap TT & had zero problems? Roy - You've got it spot on, but TT aerotops go for big big money. Saying that there's a cheap one come up at the moment - but there's that 'cheap' word again! Glenn - The only pics I have were from someones website who took them at a Southampton meet. One of them is my avatar (minus the background). I don't want to rush the sale though as that's what I did with my last one & got a low price for it so I could buy my current one! (Quite stressfull, but worth it in hindsight!) Faye - You're right. I suppose it's not really worth the extra speed if you've got a nice car anyway. I've only just realised your avatar is on about an aerotop, I just thought you were a naturist or naturalist or whatever they're called! toyotasuprauk - I'm like you, I haven't even been in a TT, so aren't too sure of the difference, but I bet once I've driven one I'll want it! I know what you mean about the turbos and that, it seems to be getting more frequent on here. Considering I have NO technical knowledge It'd probably cost me a fortunegetting it fixed. Darren - I'm looking into it mate! It just looks to good to be true....It'll probably sell tonight as well. TDRAPER - I'm only getting a Honda CB500 next week, but should be a good starter bike, as I've got my test in a month. I might get a faster one near the end of the summer (depending if I get a TT or not!) Well I hope I've not forgotten anyone, this is about the longest thing I've written ever! I'm still undecided though. My head's telling me to keep the NA ,pose in it & be happy, but my hearts telling me to buy a cheap TT & drive 'faster'!
  20. That is nice. Is it dented at the front, or is that just a funny reflection?
  21. Hi all. I'm in a bit of a dilemma - I've got the need, the need for speed! I have a very nice 95 NA aerotop I bought at the end of last summer, but I haven't really had the roof off much because of the lame weather. It's black, lowered, 18" blitz alloys, full blitz bodykit, with standard spoiler, full cream leather interior, nice stereo system, clifford 600 & basicly in excellent condition. Now - do I start to think about selling it as the nice weather kicks in & buy a TT? or do I keep it? It's a lush car & I'm worried I'll buy a 'dog' TT with the turbos etc all blown / wrecked! I've got my bike test in a month, so was thinking I wont need a TT as the bike will do fine for speed, and the NA for posing! Then again I'm a student, but always manage to do well with money (all legal!) & have one more year at uni. Then again, I'm about to start a 5 month summer holiday, so cash shouldn't be too much of a problem. Decisions, decisions! - I think we should have a Supra helpline / agony aunt / counsellor. Any advice anyone? Should I be 'scared' to check out these disgustingly cheap TTs on the autotrader etc?!
  22. I just noticed another TT for under £8k. They're getting well cheap! Might sell my aerotop & buy a TT
  23. That's bloody cheap! Has anyone called yet? I wonder if it is a TT...
  24. That is strange. I thought Tescos insured anyone as well!
  25. Has anyone done this swap before? I'm sure it's a hell of a lot of work involved!
