The 6 speed M32 gearbox can be troublesome (usually 6th gear bearing), and swirl flaps on the inlets, either get them blanked off or if the ‘actuator rod’ (can be seen when opening the bonnet) is loose its already too late and needs changing. Apart from that just common diesel things to watch for - egr, flywheel etc. Good workhorses tho, plenty of mpg and cheap to maintain

I went BPU last summer and got the SRD gearbox cooler. I bypassed the original exchanger at the bottom of the rad (was planning to run tandem but Lee at SRD said they always bypass them) and have noticed no ill effects when cold. Gear changes are super smooth and as quick as when stock. I can recommend the SRD kit
