You should be able to dyno just leave it in D and turn the overdrive off, that will keep you in 3rd gear

Sounds like the symptoms of a leak to me. If you got it re gassed at Lexus they should have put a dye in so it will highlight any leaks etc.

Nice thought but keep it for you, drive it and love it and never sell it. When he comes to inherit it, it will have a massive amount of sentimental value and will be a joy to own.
