  1. I’ve got whifbitz coils and they seem good so far. Hopefully they will support big power when I go for it soon, circa 1000hp, which is what they claim on there website. Paul suggested them so I’m pretty confident they will be ok. They are good at 700
  2. Hi guys Bottom end build is on the cards soon so I can crank the power right up. Just wondering if anyone is selling a forged bottom end or knows of something coming up. Cheers Karl
  3. I’d be interested in this too. Has anyone tried it?
  4. https://www.evo.co.uk/toyota/supra/202094/toyota-supra-reproduction-parts-available-soon Happy days [emoji3]
  5. I have a carbon one on order. If you’re still looking when that arrives we can sort something
  6. I’m just about to change my Whifbitz polished one, same shape as oem but polished aluminium. 40 quid posted if you fancy it?
  7. I had a black one of those before the Supra. He is definitely making the right move
  8. The live it nowhere near the speaker or rca cables, but how do you shield it anyway out of interest? What is the big 3?
  9. Earth on the battery or the amp? We didn’t move the earth of the amp from how it was before with no interference so I suppose I’ve answered that one lol?
  10. Hi guys I recently have had the battery moved to the boot and now I have a whine through the speakers that matches the revs. Any ideas on how to solve this? I have an amp running all the speakers under the passenger seat. Cheers Karl
  11. Thanks again. My end goal if I were to do the bottom end would be a healthy 1000fwhp. I also want to raise the Rev limit to at least 8000rpm as that’s what I have had the head work done for. What, if anything, can I potentially knock off that list for this goal?
  12. Yes a couple of grand for labour. So what am I not getting with members talking about £1300 and £1600 in parts to do it?
  13. Thanks for all the input guys. It seems that a lot of you are seeing a built bottom end as a much lower cost than I am. Can you guys give me some pointers on this please? This is the list I have been given, this all adds up to well over £4K in parts.
  14. Coming back to this, new setup is now in. Top end of the engine is complete and I’m very happy with how it looks. Went flex fuel as well as I found a source for ethanol. Mapping was a failure today as one of the fuel pumps was playing up. All fixed now but have to wait till mid December for another slot (the joys of running syvecs) Romain suggested we limit the power to around 700whp to save the engine, plus I’m on the limits of the current clutch. As I have some time to decide now, I’ve got a couple of options to consider. I can stick with the plan and push the bottom end to Romain’s suggested level, but can I go more than 700whp? I’m also thinking about just doing the bottom end too while I’m waiting. As with everything though, money is the problem here. I’ve seen a couple of places claiming to be able to supply a forged block for £3k ish, but a lot of parts seem to be missing from their lists; oil pump etc... I keep looking at what I would need and always end up around £7k plus a clutch. Does anyone know of a cheaper way? If it’s that much I’m gonna have to hold off. Decisions decisions.... Anyone selling a used built block???? [emoji23]
  15. I personally think a single setup is more fun than the twins. Drive ability is possibly a little better on hybrids, but the theatre of a single is something worth paying for imo. It’s so different though, the op should try and find someone with a setup like he is thinking so he can experience it. When I drop big money on a new setup I want something completely different to what I had before. I’m guessing hybrids feel similar to the stock twins, just with a lot more power. Single will be a very different drive. All just my opinion. There is no right or wrong way, just depends what the op wants the car to be.
  16. Depends how mad you wanna go really. I reckon you wouldn’t get any change out of £8k to do a reliable setup. It would be a completely different car once done though
  17. You could probably do a smaller precision turbo with a smic and get 500+ with very low spool. This would be more fun than hybrids imho
  18. Got a friend who does it well. Whereabouts are you?
  19. ‘Tis a nice Aston, I like what you’ve done with it. I definitely preferred your old car though [emoji23] Glws. Lot of car for the money that [emoji108]
