  1. Well just had some good news, I’ve been contacted by Jamie Bishop, Adrian flux’s social media coordinator and fellow supra owner. He spoken to the agreed value deptartment and eductated them on supra prices. So now they’ve called and offered the original 19k agreed value for the policy. Happy days.
  2. What’s it worth? Hi all. After setting an agreed value policy with Adrian flux of £19k they have now got back to me 3 months after the beginning of my policy saying they are only willing to cover my car for “market value” at £14k. After numerous arguments with them they want me to submit some research and where better to start by asking on here. Anyway, what’s it worth? A quick scan of eBay shows I can’t replace my car for £14k 1997 twin turbo 6 speed, running 421bhp @1.3 bar. 3. Everything normally gets posted on the northeast supra Facebook page mate
  4. I had the same rubbish from sky at the weekend. Policy increased by £200. They rang today to ask if I wanted to renew and offered me £30 off for doing so. Wouldn't budge on price until I had a quote elsewhere. No chance, going to have to waste a few hours ringing round Adrian flux and green light. I'm more than happy to leave sky as last year I had a terrible service, documents with misspelled names, replacement documents sent with different names spelt wrong.
  5. So after swapping 1 out one at a time I have 2 faulty coils. One more so than the other. Managed to source a good working clean set of coilpacks locally so I'm sorted for now and have 4 spares.
  6. As per title I'm after a good working set of coilpacks. Thanks Jonny
  7. Chris I did fit replacement terminals when doing the clips as my wiring looked worse for wear. Ok so I have borrowed a known working set of coilpacks of safcdixon and it runs perfectly. No miss at all. So next port of call is to swap 1 coilpack out at a time to see if it's just 1 or a mix of a couple and after that source replacements.
  8. I forgot to mention I did the clips last year as they where looking worse for wear. Gonna try and borrow a set of coilpacks off one of the local lads. Give them a go.
  9. Hi everyone. Currently having a misfire problem and it's getting the better of me. Misfires on boost over 1bar, bpu car running 1.2 normally. If I control the throttle and don't go full throttle it's ok as long as it's below 1 bar. So late last year I developed a misfire running ngk bkr7eix plugs. Fast forward to this year and I still have the misfire (the car was off the road over winter). Anyway so I changed the plugs for a set of BKR8EIX and alas the misfire was still there. But it was different. The misfire seemed to stay between 3500-5800 rpm then pick up as normal after. So I went to fueling next. The car has had the 12v fuel pump mod done with a relay. To rule this out I removed the relay and returned to standard. I also changed the plugs to denso ik22's so I'm back in the 7 heat range. So the misfire disappears. Awesome! Well it returned a week later. So I've checked the plugs (seem ok). Tired my old bkr7eix in and still a misfire, checked all the wiring I altered removing the 12v mod. All ok. I've changed the fuel pump ecu. Again no change. I've even tried changing the fueling back to 12v and still no change. I want to get a multimeter on the pump and make sure it's defiantly getting the correct 9v at idle and I will bridge the obd port to check the 12v supply. Have I bought the wrong plugs? Ik22's? The only thing that changed was the plugs and 12v mod. Any help or advice is appreciated.
  10. I bought these by accident and ended up only using these for 300 miles, if that. £20 posted
  11. Looking for an alloy radiator to replace my oem one. Must be suitable for a manual car and be able to fit the oem rad shroud. Cheers Jonny
  12. Thank god someone's eventually putting a diesel lump in a supra! Me and a couple mates have said it needs doing for a while. The purists/most people on this forum will hate and it will break the internet! Good luck with it!
  13. Nope. Centre caps are all the same size.
  14. I have a full set of pre facelift ones kicking about. Been painted black. Could get some pics today when I go to my unit?

  16. I'll take one if you get enough interest
  17. You'd make a fortune mate. I'm sure most people would take one. Including myself.
  18. You can easily fit a sandwich plate and retain the stock oil filter location.
  19. The dash board boost gauge is not accurate at all. You'd need a mechanical or digital one to get a proper reading. When your problem occurs try taking your foot off the throttle and re-stamp the throttle. If that then feels as normal you have a faulty vsv on the turbo side. Theres a good guide for the vsv's here. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?35926-The-sequential-system
  20. If the RX8 is completely free then go for that. You'd be daft not to. The only thing I'd be worried about is the time bomb under the bonnet. Reguardless free is free. There won't be much to part out if it does go bang as most rx8 parts can't be given away.
