  1. Sure I have a tow eye. Can check tonight.
  2. Hahaha I'm glad someone else agrees.
  3. It's most likely down to how I have the controller set (which I pretty much guessed what I was doing). It seams more laggy. Like driving a single. All the power comes in one big hit in the lower gears.
  4. Thanks mate. I've always wanted to do one too. And I had a bit of peer pressure into doing it. The car wasn't great on track as it was too big with Teesside being a karting track. Would be great do do somewhere like Croft. As its quite a fast circuit. I have a high and low boost. 1.2 low and 1.35 high. It's very rare I use the high boost as I don't like the power delivery.
  5. I know the feeling. Mine sat all winter and I couldn't be bothered to do anything. After Christmas I was desperate to have it out but everything still needed finishing. Just don't rush it.
  6. Thanks mate. I have learnt a lot over the years from my dad. And just getting stuck in. My dads a chartered mechanical engineer, and I'm a decontamination engineer. And with our unit we are getting stuck into more things.
  7. Yeah I know it is quite small. The supra struggled with a few corners but was overall good. At the end of the day a track day isn't a race day so I wasn't too worried about other cars. But yeah I drove the mx5 like an idiot. At the end of the day it wouldn't of been bad if I crashed the mx. It's worth more in bits anyway. But the mx is a brilliant car! I would like to do Croft in the supra though.
  8. Track day. So the day arrived and the cars were ready. Woke up to some awful fog but the ground was dry. Anyway we set of for Teesside, which became eventful when the mx5 nearly fell off the dolly due to a strap coming loose. But apart from that all was well. When we arrived the weather had cleared and it was turning into a beautiful sunny day. So first time out on track. And I drove like a right pussy. A few laps later I came in and swapped into the mx5, And drove like a mad man, I got a good feel for the limits of the car. So after a fair few aggressive laps I came in and swapped back into the supra. Feeling much more confident about the track and the car I pushed more and more. Having more fun and driving a lot better. Until a loud bang. Boost pipe had come off. In a place where I've never had one come off. Buried under the front chassis leg. Anyway left it to cool off and got the boost pipe back on. So after the fix I returned to the track. And after a fair few aggressive/tail happy laps I started to loose boost. It felt like I'd lost a turbo. After returning to the pits and letting the car cool down it turns out a vac pipe for the vsv for the second turbo had slipt off. Again a problem I'd never had on the road. Re secured the pipe and that was it till after lunch. No problems in the afternoon. Just more aggressive driving in the mx5 and more tail happy laps in the supra. Overall I was happy with the supra. No major problems and it handled a lot better than I expected. A few pics. I know the pictures are crap quality. That's what happens when parents take pictures. Anyway after coming away my dad loved it. So the mx5 will be getting Coilovers and a half cage. Hopefully before the next one. And a random picture Oh and jimmyup finalised the tshirt design. A lot better than I expected.
  9. Another vote for top gaitors. Brilliant quality and very reasonably priced.
  10. Update. So some may have seen a few forum members entered a competition on the Jimmy up Facebook page. And I won. So they seem to of finished there design for the tshirt. I'm a little disappointed as they aren't using the original image. But here's their finished design. It's still pretty awesome. So I got the car back from paint. Any cracked on putting it back together. And she's now back on the road. The oem plastic skirts make the car look so much better. And she got a much needed wash today. It's a good thing the cars back on the road and running perfect as I've committed to my first track day on the 14th of March. My dads also committed our mx5 which isn't looking great. Hopefully should have it ready. Just need to finish the quarter. All welding has been done by me. Id never welded before starting on this mx5. So I'm quite happy with how it's going. And a couple pictures from tonight taken by Fosta
  11. Just the stock trim? I've got one. Drop me a pm.
  12. That's what I ordered and recieved 90189-06116 as its been superceeded. The new superceeded part isn't useable
  13. Hi all. I've recent had my rear quarters painted and I need he grommets that fit in the fuel filler surround. I thought this was the part number: After ordering and collecting from Toyota they gave me some clip that defiantly aren't correct and have a different part number as the part number I supplied has been superceeded. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Or you quys could vote for number 5 No dibs on votes!
  15. looking for the grommet pictured from the front passenger footwell/bulkhead
  16. With uk brakes the space saver won't fit the front. If you did get a front puncture you have to fit the space saver to a rear wheel, then fit the rear wheel on the front. Iirc.
  17. So yesterday I got the bumper and skirts back from paint. Great job as per usual. Just waiting on the car now. Should be Sunday or Monday.
  18. The car is now in the paint shop (unit next door) whilst my dad was delivering the car he kindly managed to drag the front bumper across the entrance wall. Resulting in this.... So now the front bumper and splitter are getting a new lick of paint.
  19. They are mate. I haven't had a chance to list them on here. Nothing wrong I could just use the money for my paint. My cars already on tein springs and dampers so it's not desperate to be lowered more.
  20. Thanks mate. I know I am in a very lucky position at the minute. Both me and my dad are very into cars, but when I bought the supra he got a lot into working on them. We are currently looking for a second ramp too.
  21. Thanks mate. Much appreciated I don't know how you could leave it just sitting gathering dust. I'm sick of seeing mine like that!
