You don't need an intercooler, if your running very low boost. You could run water/meth to lower the temps also. However you are better of with an intercooler.

I did that with my old Uno Turbo! Smoked when it was on idle....waited till it smoked. Turned it off, then took off the turbo, you could see oil in the downpipe and around the turbine wheel but none in the manifold. Happy days back then!

Not totally correct mate, that's only true if the compressor side is leaking. My Holset was smoking on lift of but that was the turbine seal gone. No oil coming out of the compressor at all as that seal was fine!

Be VERY careful with the Audi TT! They have a major issue that will make you wish you had kept the Supra and turbo'd it! You see, the seats are always worn out through having so many pairs of scissors cutting into them......

Ahh, good call, i figured with the Super 40 you should get better spool and headroom if you ever wanted more power. Or you could go for a Billet wheeled HX52 like it did!

I did when i sold my W58 Conversion, took 2 mins with an angle grinder.

No idea, only been mapped on the road, just a base tune. Clutch is causing some major headaches...
