  1. Now that looks great! How do you think it was done?
  2. Do you think it will be ok?
  3. Hi guys Got a slight issue i may need to address, i am slightly worried that the turbo i have is going to melt the paint on the bonnet. I have heat shields around the turbo and around the exhaust but i think the exhaust housing will be so close to the bonnet the paint will melt. Any pictures of work arounds? Vents etc? Or am i worrying to much? Thanks Adam
  4. In general the OEM Radiator has better flow, as proved by a few members on here.
  5. Best bet if using oil for a diesel engine for a few hundred miles. It has more detergent for removing deposits, as diesel engine create greater deposits. Do it at your own risk. I saw a Punto GT with 100K miles that had only been run on diesel oil and the engine was like brand new! It was so clean i asked if the head had been replaced but it was original!
  6. Well you see its quite a complex operation, you see it shields the heat from fire'able components... In all seriousness, its made of Stainless steel, it also acts as a lambda heat-shield but you cannot see this in that picture. Will update my project thread later. Not as fancy as the other stuff people used but its custom for my application and only cost me 30 minutes of time.
  7. Looking good mate, fair play!

  9. Fitted my new fuel filter with 6AN line adapter New 3inch stainless exhaust And last but not least cleaning the rear seats….This is what dropping food and having no rear window will do to your seats if left lol Furry! Alas after much disinfectant and elbow grease…. Tune in next time for more interesting updates! Thanks for reading.
  10. Fitted my IAT for the AEM Fitted inlet IC piping I started making a powersteering cooler… But decided it looked shit… So used a oil cooler instead…. Welded some brackets on Painted Hose for PS, high pressure Welded an extension on the aircon pipe holder to move it out of the way of the FMIC pipes Hose covers on to prevent any rubbing Top pipe onto bottle Next up fitted the heater pipes back on Used the NA heater pipe as it sits futher back giving more room for the single turbo Fitted my ECU! Carpet and OEM stereo amp back in Cleaned and installed the pass seat
  11. Also my new OE radiator arrived! Was going to run alloy rad but read a few different posts about them not being as good as an OE one… Gave the fan a quick clean to And all fitted! As I was going FMIC I had to remove the old PS cooler Making up lower brackets for FMIC, nice when you have a big pile of stainless steel! Getting it level And welded on! Welded to lower front cross-member Bumper test fit Also welded some mounts to the top to make it 100% sturdy Job done
  12. Hi guys more updates! Got to get a move on to with Dragonball around the corner… Like most the dash had started to peel of and look a bit messy so I decided to paint it. Not to bright just a subtle dark colour. Bit dark I know, using thinners to take of the rubber coating All off.. All the panels stripped Plastic primer on And some colour! 2nd coat lacquer Finished, shows the colour a bit better Metailc grey Will get some pics when there all back in! Also fitted my HKS DLI Also I am not having any gauges, just a 7 inch touch screen! So got my old laptop and removed the screen! I can use the dash that comes with the AEM software
  13. Hi all Bit of a strange one, and its not a joke... I am going single turbo with a power goal of 550-600HP, but having had a look at the ducting on the standard Airbox is there any benefit to using a cone filter? The OEM setup looks really good... Any advice is appreciated!
  14. Wow this looks awesome! Can you tell me the paint code you used for the dash plastics?
  15. Ahh! Good job you did! I am coming with my friend! Just paid up... Best get my passport sorted!
  16. Cheers mate, its getting there now, i can see the light!
