  1. Happy days. I actually saw a few used ones last night but they were still lookin 70quid so you did well to get that new at 78
  2. You need to adjust the door shut sensor, they move over time, loosen the bolt off adjust it very slightly closer to the door and tighten again!
  3. I am selling my 6 Puk Sprung Paddle clutch. It is absolutely brand new, never run. Un-used. I paid 700 plus vat for it a few months ago but considering it has been opened and fitted BUT not used, for sale for £500.
  4. Pallet2ship are really reasonable for a half pallet to ship this if required mate. £60 + vat iirc
  5. At least if the prop fits you can do 99% of the conversion and the pedal is a 20 min job to fit at the very end if the bulkhead and all is prepped! Progress is progress!
  6. Cheap ssqv or the like will be fine at BPU
  7. That's a really really lovely car mate, nice setup!
  8. Considering now going a different direction with my car so I am putting this lot up for sale as a kit. Took a few months and a lot of research to put this kit together The Kit includes: Factory Fitted 1/2JZ Bellhousing R154 (JZX100/Soarer), with factory extended shifter and factory extended tail housing, all supplied by Garage D - £1800 R154 JZX100 Factory Mount Soarer manual Crossmember - £120 ACT TS2-XTG6 6-Puk Sprung Paddle Clutch, (Brand New unused) - £780 ACT Release Bearing R154 Release Bearing Hub & fittings - £80 Clutch Fork & Pivot (with new pin and circlips) - £50 1JZ Flywheel - £120 Entire Propshaft (Soarer Manual front Section and Supra Rear section), All bolts together, no dodgey welds etc and of course is fully factory balanced. - £350 R154 Slave Cylinder - £50 Total package price would be £2,800 I can additionally source a manual clutch pedal, for a total cost of £103 brand new from Japan but would be about 2-3weeks before this might arrive Not keen on splitting at all I actually paid £3,350 in total to put the whole conversion together, I’ve shown the individual prices I paid above. Its a no nonsense guaranteed straight fit for a mkiv supra My mobile number is 07742454438. Catch me on whatsapp is easiest
  9. Be a shame to break mate. Try and stick to your guns if you can.
  10. Tbh theres nothing wrong with the replica HKS valves, they work exactly the same and generally last the same amount of time, the issue is that the plunger is plastic and it deforms with heat and time and doesn't seal and then leaks. You would be better off going with a Greddy type valve (genuine or replica) as they use a metal plunger and it seals a lot better
  11. Does it come with the ECU and does your friend have contact details? - edit, see it says ecu! just contact details please lol
  12. Does this have a top feed fuel setup Keron? If so, price for rail and associated fittings/lines etc?
  13. Nice one, all coming together now lad!
  14. Ironically i would love to get hold of a late late facelift JDM manual shell personally.....lol trades anyone? It would be great if the Supra parts and spares market got a revival from some sort of aftermarket or blueprint type set up but I think they are doomed to be a classic classic sooner rather than later unfortunately
  15. I totally get the manual/auto difference having done the job myself. I think even for a purest the UK spec premium is a step too far.....for me anyway, and i have a UK Spec!lol
  16. This is a whole new level of supra false economy lol
  17. Why would a UK spec one be even more? They are all the same and all built in the same factory in Japan UK, Jap, Euro, doesnt matter
  18. Could be the alternator on the way out, Aircon places a heavy load on the system

    Turbo Dilema

What about the CHRA replacements, you seem to be able to get those very cheap now. I think a few people have tried them. Haven't heard reports either way though but got to be worth a try for the cost of a strip down and individual part replacement: http://www.maxspeedingrods.co.uk/toyota-celica-4wd-3sgte-2-0l-ct26-turbo-cartridge-chra.html

    Turbo Dilema

Fair enough. Was just thinking it would save a considerable amount on labour if paying someone to remove the head etc In terms of quality of stem seal replacement though i dont see how it makes any difference that way. In any case i suppose its irrelevant to the question you are asking. Id be inclined to rebuild your own turbos and then at least you know what you have. The quality of whifbitz in general seems to have been called into question recently.
