1. Having just got a zero rated car I'm pretty annoyed to hear this news. They get road tax from me for four cars, yet I can only drive one at once.
2. What about pre emission rated cars like ours? £140?
3. I've learned a few things from this thread. Probably the most important thing being where to find the first aid kit in an Audi in case of emergency.
4. I think you mean to say the article is wrong? It's OK everyone, Burna will pay your fees if you get a ticket back home because he has unequivocal evidence to suggest the contrary.
5. New rules for driving in Europe: https://www.economycarhire.com/blog/2016/01/26/driving-in-europe/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=User+Link According to that, photo and video evidence can now be used to get you back home.
6. Smart. Remind me which cars have a "big diff"?
7. Don't put "Dragon Ball X" into Google pics search whilst at work!

Too right. I won't even bother reading anything in that rag of a paper. If you've not read Ben Goldacre's Bad Science - do so. It'll change your view of the media, advertising and medical claims forever. Brilliant read. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bad-Science-Ben-Goldacre/dp/000728487X
9. I was going to say similar. It annoys me when people start jumping on a bandwagon of claiming back for stuff on a technicality which they were happy enough to sign up to and saw going out of their account every month for years. It's theft in my book. Would you expect your insurance company to refund you after a year because you'd not claimed?
10. Hey Nic. Door window seals or the ones actually on the fixed in windows? - - - Updated - - - They help stop the door cards getting damp and mouldy. A previous supra I had didn't have them and suffered from this.
11. Right now things are super crap. We thought father in law was dying before Christmas due to a chest infection - amazingly he pulled through that. My cousin lost her baby a couple of days before xmas after going full term - no brain activity. Her father (my uncle) died on Monday - he had late stages of Alzheimers so a merciful release really. Funeral a week today. My dad has been having unexplained seizures in the night, a stay in hospital for observation was fruitless. Lots of stress and worry. Could do with a good DB to clear my head.
12. I was really looking forward to Luxembourg, but I can't commit to this until I know where we stand with my father in law. Doc gave him 2 months to live. They said 6 months 2.5 years ago, but I think it may be close to DB time.
13. I took the mother in law as she's never been and always wanted to. Did the big sites in two days and drove back. Genuinely really enjoyed it. Plotted an easy route, a quick underground link to the tower and all was good. The centre is nice, lots of wide open spaces. Maybe because the place was crawling with people carrying machine guns there was less hassle, I don't know. Rome is utterly amazing if you appreciate historical buildings. Way more impressive than Paris IMHO. Food way better than the crap they serve in France too. Yes - London is a great big pooh hole tourist trap too.
14. It can use the existing ABS wheel sensors (if fitted) otherwise you can add aftermarket wheel speed sensors. It goes nowhere near the stock T/C wires, so you're onto a winner there as many of us have to remember to disable it when getting in the car.
15. Saw Terminator Genisys last night and really enjoyed it (although also too silly in places, Terminator should be more serious), but it was a pretty cool way to reboot off the original.
16. There's a nice blue looking one on Autotrader right now: "DRIVES WELL STARTS FINE NO ISSUES, RED, THESE CARS DRIVE EXCELLENT AND REPRESENT FANTASTIC VALUE FOR MONEY" It's all written in caps and the colour is wrong - I'd trust this guy that it has no issues too.
17. I have an AEM UEGO AFR with the typical Bosch sensor which offer serial output to ECU or your laptop on my VVTi. As above, put your foot down and it goes off the dial rich. For pure octane the stoichiometric mixture is approximately 14.7:1 .
18. We went a year ago and found it a nice place full of lots of friendly people. I've always found it to be a bit of a dump the previous two times I've been, but actually quite enjoyed it last time. No real tips to add other than book the top TripAdvisor places weeks BEFORE you go. The Louvre is huge so look up what you want to see in there first. If driving - prebook your carpark at the hotel.
19. Yes....but you spend inordinate amounts of time talking to weirdos on "the wireless". Majority of Star Wars is filmed in the UK, with UK actors, staff, engineers etc. etc. Massive boost to our movie economy.
20. Lets hope not, he's OK at what he does but not a great entertainer.
