Just phoned my mate that services mine, said definitely underneath and it is tight, but then he's about 9 stone wet through.... Just been outside and looked at mine. Does look tight! See if you can get someone to help you from the top whilst you have a go from underneath maybe?

Can you not screw the new one on from the top? Or try getting your arm over the steering rack from the front of the car?

The Peugeot 405 used to use a similar setup. They blocked up easily as the holes were so small. Worked well when they did work though. Had 3 405 Mi-16's with that setup back in the day!

Same has just started happening to the Mrs' Audi, rather annoying on a Canbus system where you constantly get "Bulb Failure" warnings beeping at you on the dash! I seem to go through LED sidelights quite fast, number plate ones have been fine for 6+ months so far.

Might not appear on HPI yet? A mate of mine bought a Merc C43AMG that was a Cat D for an apparent front end shunt, didn't show on HPI when he bought it but did when he came to sell it 2-3 months later. Similarly another mate of mine looked at an M3 convertible, was advertised as HPI clear to start but had pretty opbviously been damaged and repaired; not that well though. Couple of months later still for sale, the ad had changed to a Cat D repaired. Not sure if it takes time to appear on a HPI report...? Or this one may have possibly recovered before the insurance paid out? He may just be advertising it as Stolen recovered to cover his own back. Wouldn't bother me at all, if it went cheap enough that is! Gotta wonder though!
