  1. i took my 4x4 in on Monday passed with 2 advisories didnt even check the emissions but it smelt right
  2. Just a strange way the law works, it states if made after Aug 92 it would come with a cat so would require a cat when re testing, however it also states if your car passes an emission test without cat The mot tester cannot fail it for not having a cat because the law is about emissions & not whether it has a cat or not
  3. If your car was registered after 1st August 1992 you must have the Cat present and working for the MoT. Previously registered cars can have the Cat permanently removed.
  4. Think the laws came into place 1993 but i could be wrong
  5. i did an GT4 engine rebuild for someone who got the kit from the same seller, although the kit proved ok,and is still going strong ,he also got the head bolts from there which were shocking to say the least a few of the bolts had no torx heads & the ones that did were so far off centre of the bolt that they would of probably snapped when being torqued down. seem to remember the kits are made in Spain. Would,nt use them
  6. wire the reds in,make sure no blues are touching each other, switch the switch on, test the blues only the switch live will give you 240v 0r if your test leads are long enough disconnect from switch test for continuety
  7. if your ceiling rose from memory has 3-3-2 connections wire neutral from lamp into the one that takes 3neu, should be 3 live in centre, then in the last 2 connection should be red from lamp & switch live blue if red tape is missing from switch live test with meter & mark with red tape
  8. if you plan to do all the work yourself it can cost as much or as little as you want. Although i have not set a budget my cost so far are pretty low ie 4 spare turbo;s from other cars T04E T04B T04Z CT20B +£0 Manifold £120 Braced by me MLS H/Gasket Sip Racing £130 E-manage Blue got 2 C/w Harness £100 each Walbro fuel pump £80 Exhaust 3" stainless 6m tube £60 making myself possibly duplex Apexi AVCR boost controller already had spare Blitz dump valve already had spare Got a few more things to get, injectors intercooler forged pistons & rods etc but i dont expect it to cost more than 2.5k when complete. Oh and im doing this on a spare engine i got off ebay £23.00 only 52k on the clock not bad eh

They’re not discontinued but unfortunately we are still out of stock and will be until we are up and running at our new premises. For the time being I am collecting the email addresses of those customers who have shown an interest and will be contacting them once we have a date in mind. I’ve added you so will be in touch. I hope this helps for now. Kind regards, Charlie THOR SALES TEAM
  12. Halfords do a good vinyl paint/dye just had to use some for ST3 sun visors http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SearchCmd?srch=vinyl+paint&x=0&y=0&action=search&storeId=10001&catalogId=10151&langId=-1
  13. So sad, Deepest sympathies to you and your family
  14. Have you tried Cambridge Electronic Industries think they make gender changer cables etc
  15. You can measure the resistance across the two terminals of the injector and if it is between 1.5 and 4.0 Ohm, you have a low impedance injector and if the range is between 10 and 16 Ohm you have a high impedance injector.
  16. im sure it is common on UK cars, but a lot depends how you look after them,my Supra is JDM & looks like new on the underside
  17. Lovely GT4, i have a supra & an St205 &enjoy driving them both, they are both money pits but if you're like me & do all the work on them yourself they are worth every penny. The car you are looking at seems a bargain im sure the cheapest over here would be almost twice that, if you do your own mechanics its a no brainer to me
  18. Pretty sure Mk4,s come with Bilsteins as standard
  19. "PXE-E61 Media test failure, check cable if you can go into the Bios check to make sure its booting from C drive
  20. I had same problem with my HPdv200, i tracked mine back to the processor overheating due to dust build up around the cooling fan & intake/outlet vents + plus using it on my lap was partially blocking the outlet. I stripped it down blew it all out with compressed air never had the problem since
  21. im only aware of 2, the one you mentioned & also i think they did a SZ special edition but i think they took things away rather than added, that also was UDSM
  22. Yes im well aware of that having searched the japanese auctions for a year, but as i said earlier a chap reeled it off about a 95 SE he obviously knew something about the wheels that i didnt, so hence the post.Makes no difference to me what it is just thought i would ask if anyone knew or heard of them, would be kind of funny if only one chap in the UK was right (or complete nutter)
  23. Exactly what i thought, but my car came straight from Japan in 2007 with these wheels on, it did have a different front bumper on it but i changed it to stock, cant find any photo's of when i got it,so thought i would check it out got nothing better to do at mo
