  1. ive had very similar symptoms, it started about 6wks ago thought i just had a cold, then after about 4 days it turned into a chesty cough, then it went to a dry cough that last for several minutes, this cough makes my head go black & dizzy had this cough now for about 4 wks & it feels like its going to be around a lot longer at the moment
  2. have you compression tested no 6 piston yet?
  3. ive only done leak down test when i suspect the rings, personally i would of had the head off by now, with any luck you might be able to see where /if the gasket has gone, sometimes not so easy to see if the bore is cracked

  5. ive seen it quite a few times in other cars, to be honest i thought it was quite common being water and oil channels pass through the gasket, just depends on where the gasket fails i suppose
  6. ive had a similar problem on a st205 a couple years ago.i did a compression test & 2 cylinders was down. I removed the head & found a little evidence of water in one bore, renewed the head gasket then was fine,so i would suggest head gasket

    For Sale

Anyone got room for this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170555567869&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:GB:1123
  10. Blast from the past or what, i still got all my consoles from master system to mega cd & 32x all the nintendo consoles, all the guns & scopes, ive even still got my sinclair spectrum & ZX81
  11. you got the right idea but your pva mix dont have to be so strong especially if the walls are sealed already with paint scoring helps prior to sealing. Try & do complete walls in one check wall when you've done a metre or 2 just to make sure its not drying to quick, 2 coats is a good way for previously plastered walls & beginners it gets over bumps & high spots better & gives you more time to get it right put 2nd coat on when its just starting to get firm ie you can still put a finger mark in it, allow yourself 3-4 hrs on good size wall
  12. As above would be my 1st choice 2nd choice would be clutch release bearing
  13. I have both and they are totally different beast, the St205 always put a smile on my face, performance takes a lot to beat around the twisty roads, stacks more confidence in the wet.As most people stated they are a pita to work on but in general the 3sgte is a pretty strong engine, in saying that recently i had to rebuild it, compression was down on one cylinder. I had a TT GTO but much prefer my ST205
  14. i had a similar problem with my GT4,it gradually lost power oil in the pipework & air filter duct smoke coming from the bonnet vents in slow traffic, did a compression test & no 2 piston was about half what it should be, so might be worth doing a compression test if only to rule it out
  15. Thats an understatement 2x 2hour walks/runs off lead +swimming daily & they still chase each other around the garden & through the house cant wait for them to calm down a bit lol, yes call anytime Saturday

  22. Worth checking just to be sure. Im with AutoDirect now £301 F/Comp
  23. mine went like that & it was the worm drive had to buy another seat rail, but you can adjust manually with a socket on the end of the shaft.
