  1. Hi Guys, Just adding some more pics for the driver's seat, this side is a little more difficult with all the electrics and the control knobs etc, especially the big circular knob for adjusting the height of the seat, you have to prize the plastic cowling away just enough to see the "U" clip which you push off with a screw driver, the other knobs just prize off. 20151123_144302.jpg (176.3 KB) 20151122_164712.jpg (182.7 KB) 20151122_154159.jpg (177.1 KB) 20151129_131323.jpg (176.4 KB) 20151122_133407.jpg (179.6 KB) 20151121_144943.jpg (175.0 KB) 20151121_154355.jpg (181.4 KB) 20151121_155412.jpg (185.3 KB) 20151121_183058.jpg (173.2 KB)
  2. Hi Guys, The black carbon cloth seat covers are much easier to fit than leather as the material stretches quite easily, this is a bargain £65 inc. postage, UK only. All the bits are there including the headrests with the plastic clips, all you need is a pack of 150mm long and 4mm wide black cable ties. 20151129_124545.jpg (174.9 KB) 20151122_142746.jpg (177.2 KB) 20151122_153346.jpg (180.6 KB) 20151122_133407.jpg (179.6 KB) 20151121_155412.jpg (185.3 KB) 20151121_154355.jpg (181.4 KB) 20151121_145007.jpg (177.9 KB)
  3. I have a stock NA tail pipe silencer with an NA/T conversion it is a solid burbble sound, not too loud, the car had to be mapped especially for this as the usual silencers are the big bore types with much less restriction and very loud. I am running 400 BHP.
  4. I never heared of the fading, but i cannot see it, especially when the majority of customers who have purchased these seat covers live in the USA where they have sun shine.
  5. Cheers guys and another thanks to the guys who put this supplier on the map for me, and gave me assurances when i thought the site was a scam due to the agents top flat in USA address and his payment e-mail was weird. Some tossers are cloning sites now and you get done, i used pay-pal as at least you have some recourse etc. My brother just had his front seats done in leather here in the UK on his Toyota Amazon it cost him £1,500 and they look no better than mine do, the only thing is he drove in and drove out did not have hog rings and bits of everything all over his kitchen for two days. lol.
  6. 20151122_142746.jpg (177.2 KB) 20151121_152244.jpg (177.6 KB) Hi Everyone, Just removed these seat covers from my car, they are in mint condition. £75.ONO. delivered. If your seats are getting a bit taty, then this will recover them. PM me if interested. 20151121_145007.jpg (177.9 KB)
  7. Hi Everyone, Just completed my DIY leather seat covers job, it's not for the faint hearted, all be it removing the seats from the car and removing the existing seat covers is relatively straight forward, but IMHO that is where it ends, the easy bit. First of all you will make a mistake if you follow a "how to do it" from some one who has used leatherette, this stuff when warm stretches and real quality leather does not. The advice given the club link "how to do it" for the seats base was to apply the leather from the back of the seat and then work your way forward to the front attaching 17 cable ties to the support wires inside the leather, when you get to the front of the seat there is no way you can stretch the leather 3 inches to reach the edge retaining cleats under the front of the seat, i had to cut off all the cable ties and start again working from the front of the seat to the back, you must attach the leather at the front to the cleats and then use the power of the cable ties to stretch the leather and the termination under the back of the seat is much easier. The cable ties per seat is 50 off, 40 of these replace "hog rings", 8 mm hard steel rings, not easy to cut and pull out of the polyurethane mouldings. The other major issue is just removing the head rests, easy once you know how, i tried brute force etc and eventually got info, not from the "how to do it" link which was incorrect, the plastic release button is not inside the seat upper area but instead it sits below the seat covering on the outside where the 10mm retaining rods enter the top of the seat, when you locate this stupid design completely hidden, then once pressed hard the head rest can be pulled clear, you press each side simultaneously. The other issue is the poor quality and lack of strength in the zips which retain the seats upright back and the head rests, they will zip so far and when the full pull of the leather comes on the zips just burst open, i had to replace with tiny cable ties. The zips would hold out if you were using leatherette. The quality of the leather itself and the workmanship is superb and £300, inc. duty and transport from the USA can't be bad, see pics.I have not put the pics in any progressive order, but you will see which pieces you want to look at when you attempt the job, eventually i may put them in a start to finish order, but low on patience having just completed the job, yes it has been worth it but frustrating and fiddly. herbiemercman. 20151123_144302.jpg (176.4 KB) 20151121_114213.jpg (197.1 KB) 20151121_145007.jpg (177.9 KB) 20151121_144943.jpg (175.0 KB) 20151121_151712.jpg (176.2 KB) 20151121_151836.jpg (180.9 KB) 20151121_152244.jpg (177.6 KB) 20151122_142459.jpg (177.2 KB) 20151122_142554.jpg (177.9 KB) 20151121_154331.jpg (175.6 KB) 20151121_154355.jpg (181.4 KB) 20151122_133407.jpg (179.6 KB) 20151122_142431.jpg (180.1 KB) 20151122_142746.jpg (177.2 KB) 20151122_153404.jpg (180.4 KB) 20151122_154159.jpg (177.1 KB) 20151122_164712.jpg (182.7 KB) 20151121_114135.jpg (201.3 KB)
  8. Hi Dan, Yur clutch arrived at 1446 today signed for by Keeling. You got a real bargain and i hope you can tolerate the driveability, it certainly will never wear out or slip, my NA/T guy will only use this type of clutch, he has had the organic fibre ones returned and had to change them, i am going to nurse mine, well at least on take off, NOT when i am motoring etc. Let me know how you get on, thanks for buying my clutch assembly and being a good communicator. Herbie.
  9. I must agree with you, the yanks are OTT in many things and if you go too far then it loses the point, some call it "Cocopola Porn".
  10. Hi Dan, Pics as requested. 20151116_063139.jpg (174.4 KB) 20151116_063208.jpg (173.8 KB) 20151116_063939.jpg (169.5 KB) 20151116_063917.jpg (167.5 KB) 20151116_064213.jpg (179.0 KB) 20151116_064530.jpg (175.6 KB) 20151116_064606.jpg (184.1 KBHi Dan, Pics as requested.
  11. Hi CASHEYE, I have seen loads of clips mainly you-tube but no movies, of the Supras, i have piles of movies and documentaries on the Isle Of Man TT races as i have been involved in this for yonks, dropped it as i wanted to carry on living.
  12. Thanks berg, The link tells me i have paid £28 more for my clutch but i paid no delivery charge and prices have gone up since, i can also see that my NA/T man was a customer. i will keep you all posted.
  13. Hi berg who is the trader i am interested, i looked at several suppliers and the one i ended up with was the lowest cost, and free delivery. Their technical guy has worked in California where they design and manufacture them, if you look at the pressure plates and friction discs they are nearly identical, just the paint finish colour on the pressure plates vary. The one i have, and still have the packaging etc, is RPS stamped all over it, so it should be one, either way it feels great, and we will see how it goes? What clutch are you running and how has it behaved?
  14. Hi berg and Shane, The new RPS stage 2 organic clutch is well designed, it has exactly the same pressure plate as the stage 4 clutch, but a fibre composite friction disc, it drives like stock and has 80% more torque than stock, like i got my pre NA back. Only done a ten mile blast, gave it some sudden load in second gear, no slipping. I will not be hammering it and if it lasts for 10k i am happy. It's choice in the end, and experience, and different members have different opinions. I now have a perfect as new stage 4 which has only covered 350 m/way miles, all the track boys use these and may be some members who just want to avoid any slipping, it is up for sale at £225 delivered, it cost £350 new, trade price.
  15. Hi bignum, Yes you were right, but at the time i was not sure, along with other parties, i had to go along and prove it. Oil cooler being fitted next week, my other cars have them, like other members said turbos heat up the oil, there are others out there who could have hot oil, but they may not know.
  16. Thanks Ric, I will download "Fast & Furious", never seen a supra in any movies they all tend to be Astin Martins, Porsches, etc.
  17. What is the movie, would like to see it? is it a proper movie or a you-tube thing?
  18. Hi goldenvtr, I have just PM'd you but for the benefit of other interested parties i just want to say that the clutch issue for people in the know comes down to "horses for courses", basically my stage 4 clutch was fitted correctly and operated correctly, and will never slip even at high torques etc, the clutch is as new with all parts, BUT the driver has to accept the harsh driveability, many members accept this, i could not and decided to risk a stage 2 clutch, a stock kind of drive ability, BUT yes it may slip in the future, it's just a matter of knowing what you want, i regret me not knowing what i wanted when i agreed my spec with the NA/T converter. If some one who wants the competition stage 4 clutch because they know they drive hard or compete, then i have a bargain total kit for sale. My postings should give you information and confidence, i had neither when i chose the type of clutch i wanted. Good luck. herbiemercman.
