  1. Centrifugal blowers don't have much to offer, why not spin a larger turbo up sooner with an electric supercharger? http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=750872
  2. I didn't find the file but found the Webinars, Motec have put a lot of effort into these. I really must study the AEM User Manual. http://www.motec.com/webinars/webinararchive/
  3. Craig's not on here much these days, if your keen, maybe it could be transferred to you?

  5. I've not found much information any use, I'll go and have a look. Cheers.
  6. It's behaving like an intermittent sensor signal. Next time I'm grovelling in the foot-well, I'll check the knock sensor wires at the ECU end and if all looks good, I'll take a connector from a spare loom and try a bypass feed.
  7. As per title, anyone considering charging a V8 should buy this now. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130831043425&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123
  8. Chris, Thanks for the input, simplest thing I could do that I haven't, is to unplug the knock sensors and see what happens, yet I need to get up-to-speed with the Laptop part of the equation. I have found an error with the electric fan circuit, the thermostat is switching a positive relay signal. I can't see how that could be the problem, but suspicious of temperature related devices, first chance I get will rewire it anyway and whilst the dash is out there are a few other things on a minor priority list I can do whilst in there. The radio hasn't worked for the previous 18 months, yet my ears have been tuned either into the Test Channel or listening to the Supercharger Song.
  9. Spring assist rubbers, I tried some on mine for a similar reason, it didn't work for me.
  10. Swapped the rear knock-sensor but no change. To save a day's knuckle busting removing the PAS and air-con pumps for maybe nothing, I'll try and find a spanner to get at the front one. I've checked and/or remade every earth I can find and disconnected each added circuit one at a time, with no change. Couldn't get the laptop to talk to either ECU today. Tinkered with the PAS idle-up valve and now it's working, so the day wasn't a total loss.
  11. Maybe the diff spacers. Are you allergic to the Workshop Manual?

  13. Did you keep the prop-flange?
  14. If it turns out you've toasted the diff, I'm about to remove a good A02B 3.769 from mine to fit a 4.083 and/or, also I'm in need of a T.T. prop-flange and a filler plug from a dead diff.
  15. It's an AEM Series 1, 30-1100 yet I don't know if sensor disabling is an option. I'll check the connector and/or swap it first and see if that sorts it, I'd like to confirm that it's doing it's job and not just dicking me about. I assume no.2 is the the sensor at the rear of the block?
  16. I've had another play with the laptop and found how to display the engine sensor readings and it appears that the mystery Donkey is ............................ Number 2 knock-sensor is fluttering between 0.2v and 0v when the timing is spiking. I'll swap it and see.
  17. They're on my check-list for tomorrow. To you too.
  18. Today I plugged the laptop into the AEM to see what I could see. At tick-over at the 'magic' temperature, the ignition timing normally 10.2, fluttered either up to 12.? or sometimes 13.? or down to 5.? or 4.? or 3.? or a bit of all of them? Way too fast to see all the digidoolallital numbers? I tried to data-log it but I couldn't save it. I need a good read of the manual to learn a few tricks. The visual fluttering on the screen is similar to audible activity of what I think is the fan relay but could be one of many, I've also lost power from the cig lighter circuit, the fuse is good but no power? It's working, so left well alone, I'll look at these tomorrow earlier in the day, I'll have done the job in old money before I've learned which button to press.
