  1. Sounds like another; 'Went to the Garage and found a Dip-stick' story.
  2. I live in Kettering, a place that has the worst U.K. delivery record on record and is famed for Postmen and Parcel delivery persons emptying their loads into a skip etc, then going home early. Depending on the season, or hormones, or mood, or overdraft, or loose wife, or something else that was more important to some thick guano than doing what they're paid for, anything up to 50% of Deliveries regularly goes 'walkies' around here. I think myself lucky that the parcel merely went back to U.S. because they were to lazy to deliver it and not other possibilities.
  3. To get to where I live entails driving 100m up a drive and my location is 4.30pm delivery. Nine out of ten Drivers can't be bothered because it's nearly time to go home. It appears it's compulsory to be incompetent to be employed! Getting a job these days is 'dead man's shoes', it's not what you know, but who you know and to fit in, it's compulsory to be less competent than incompetent line Management, because that's how they got their job too.
  4. I've just discovered that ParcelFarce monkeys couldn't be bothered to deliver my valve-body and have returned it to the U.S. This is after many-many emails and empty your wallet 08 telephone calls, ParcelFarce have proven so incompetent I don't believe that anyone who works there even realises they are paid to deliver parcels. Two hats.
  5. Looks like you have tools for the job. Worst part is balancing and manoeuvring the transmissions on a trolley-jack, working on a level 'smooth' surface makes the job easier and safer. To gain easier access to the top bolts, drain the radiator, disconnect the hoses (fan-shrowd?) and lower the rear of transmission. Watch the engine as you lower it, you'll see when to stop. Keep the job clean. Hope that helps.
  6. Has anyone tried alternative settings with stock cams? (T.T. and/or N/A) If so, what were the results?
  7. If one doesn't turn up soon I may have to, I didn't want to rob a perfectly good diff unless I had to. I wasn't expecting a spare flange shortage.
  8. Cleaned-up, drained-out, opened-up, checked-out, sealed-up, closed-up, tightened-up, stood-up and bulled-up. The black gloss tin was almost empty, so satin black it is. All I want for Christmas is a T.T. flange.
  9. After quizzing folks re. your issue, you close your Technical mystery with another! You'll fit in a treat on here.
  10. The Manual gives 3 possible causes, you have tried one, so there's 2 more options.

  12. There's no fuel pressure retained for cold start, yet you haven't mentioned a problem there. If you haven't done so already, I'd be changing the crank position sensor.
  13. Picked up an N/A A01B 4.083 Torsen today. Now I need a T.T. differential prop-shaft flange, if anyone has one lurking, please contact me. Cheers.
  14. Go on a driving holiday to Portugal and return with a respray for the cost of a wrap.
  15. Nothing less than a video would suffice. Christened my stick-on camera mount too. I have programmable control of the torque-converter and plan to reduce stall-speed and lock-up to lower rpm's.
  16. With the existing bypass-valve system the charger uses .5 bhp when not boosting, after I've settled on a pulley-size and chased the Gremlins out of the other systems, I'll see if I have enough steam to do a lap of upgrades and weight reduction of components. When I swap to a 3.6" supercharger pulley, the boost should be up to maybe 14psi and begin sooner, in fact I think the current 'behaviour' of the transmission is keeping it off boost @ low revs. The engine-conversion is now running fine and under observation, I want to just let it get on with it's job for a while and move on to the transmission. First to second changes are too slow and I suspect the solenoids are gumming up, also, @ high revs maybe there are too many volts for the Suprastick to read. Further to a two month wait, now two Parcel Force delivery attempts failed to find my address, the modified valve-body is presently lost somewhere at the Leicester Depot. When the cows are laying down in the field and this eventually gets fitted and the over-volts 'maybe' issue resolved, I can then have a good fiddle with the torque converter settings and find it's sweet-spot. I have over-legged the gearing too, I'll keep the 40 profile 18's yet swap the T.T. auto 3.769 diff, back to an N/A 4.083 Torsen with a T.T. flange.
  17. It looks good to me, but have opened it again.
  18. With the 4" pulley, no boost below 2k. 2k = 1lb 2.5k = 7psi 3k = 11psi 2nd gear pull from 1.5k, boost gauge second one down in pod.
  19. I've been too busy driving to notice, I'll make the video.
