  1. Why is this incredible? It's a big country mostly full of nothing except for a small green strip on the coast.
  2. Nice job - subtle and understated (assuming you're keeping the rear spats & bodykit off!). Look forward to the updates
  3. Yeah, not sure why they think it's a good idea to change this part of the format - if it's some "attempt" to introduce fuel economy trickle-down technology, then it's pretty unlikely to have any effect.
  4. http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=554660 Very useful thread on SF.com about swapping components of NA & TT autobox.
  5. Yeah, Sexton was all over the shop. Still, I think Ireland look a million times more dangerous in attack (and more solid in defence, too) with him as flyhalf than O'Gara.
  6. Yeah, he wasn't my favourite ref, that's for sure. Perhaps a reason could be that he fell asleep during the game? Yeah, there were some pretty woeful dropgoal attempts. I think I could have done as well - and I can throw the ball further than I can kick it
  7. To be fair, there should have been a few more sinbins from both sides. I too, along with the commentator, was getting frustrated with the front rows incorrect bindings and constant collapsing of the scrum. Actually, mostly it was the rest of the backs that seemed to make bad decisions resulting in turnover ball.
  8. Well, not to flog a dead horse.. but England dead boring again. Unfortunately, evenly matched by Scotland's ineptitude in multiple phase retention. Ireland looked very fluid with some very well-worked moves (of course, BOD featured in each in a subtle yet technically important way) easily accounting for a hapless Wales team who seemingly have forgotten how to play rugby, or even believe that they can win against anyone. Bring on the World Cup, please.. I want some decent rugby to watch
  9. Yeah, I have changed the bushes in my car too - but I think I'd replace them with new stock gear if I was to do it again (even though my car had 10k miles on it when I bought it ). Yeah the Finns use the Holsets because they are local (like Garrett is for us Australians) therefore easier customer service IF there is a problem. They also have a harder core base in heavy vehicles and drag racing, so their products seem to be more durable - perhaps at a compromise of spool and total HP.
  10. Were the rear suspension components changed previously? Hmm interested in the prognosis - FWIW, we (the guys from my Australian A.C.T. Supra Club) have had very few trouble from the Garrett turbos we've all used. Of course, hope the turbo is fine regardless!!
  11. Good thread! Very important, as Gaz has noted, to include details of vehicle power and setup for apples v apples comparisons, driver style, and weather conditions driven in.
  12. One way of getting a foot in the door is networking with the local garages - get your name and the quality of your work more widely known, then do bit work as a contractor for a wider audience through some of these garages, and build on that. People who might be worth getting to know are other custom fabricators, hot-rodders, antique restorers, custom interior guys - as they might occasionally need a specific bit of work done, or know of people they can refer to you.
  13. As has been said, make sure you get high-resolution copies of the photos taken. Beautiful pictures of your car is the reward, not the magazine feature, in my opinion.
  14. I hear you - I only did the feature for my car on the arrangement that my photographer friends took the photos (to get professional exposure). Which it was very successful at, happy to say. Didn't care about the recognition otherwise.
  15. Go 71 mm maximum. Any bigger and you'll sacrifice driveability. I suppose the real question is do you think 71 mm (T51, GT4294) is "big"?

    TT Diff

Any TT diff is an LSD, unless the centre has been replaced.
  17. Sounds good Get some miles on that lump and then see what it can do with the proper tune.
  18. Excellent! I'm *fairly* sure I will be able to make it, but my life tends to throw a few curveballs
  19. Have been thinking about this again - would it be ok if I can just turn up on the day? It's still a bit far away for me so I can't 100% commit, unfortunately (even though I am really keen to attend).
  20. To be quite honest, the only people who are distracted by a shiny paint job are the people who don't know cars. When you're knowledgeable enough to see how much attention has been paid to the fine details (especially when you *know* how difficult and/or expensive it is to do the job right!), then you appreciate simplicity and function much more. For mine, this is one of the best attention to detail threads I've seen on here.
  21. Very nice. Certainly something to consider for my next built engine
