  1. As said, given that 6N0 is a metallic paint, it's nearly impossible to "match" exactly - but if the same painter with the same paint mixture is doing the work, it *should* be as close as possible. Of course, it all depends how particular you are.
  2. I'm sure everyone would appreciate as much information as possible. My comment about your reputation refers simply to your join date of Jun 2012. I don't know you or your history from a bar of soap otherwise.
  3. Main reason for fitting the electric fans was space considerations - they don't necessarily outperform a (new) clutch fan, but with a bigger aftermarket radiator there often is too little room for it.
  4. Care to share head flow figures, dyno figures, or indeed *any* information to support your assertions? Sorry if I'm not in a trusting mood, given your extensive reputation on this forum.

    Na-t build

Neat, and awesome. Look forward to the videos of the "test track"
  6. Sorry, but your information is wrong (apart from FBW being difficult). There is very little real-world data supporting the hypothesis that the VVTi rods are weak, or the head is restrictive. I have a stock VVTi head, bar a upgraded exhaust cam, and it has flowed over 800 wheel hp.
  7. Awesome shots! Love light-painting, Ross
  8. Sad to hear, Jamie. Can't justify having it sit in the garage under a dropcloth?
  9. Tyre size does depend a little on the manufacturer - the same sizes are bigger or smaller between brands, for some strange reason. For 11" width, 305 or 315 is indicated, but again, depending on the brand, 295-315 might fit without stretch or bulge.
  10. Australia is a very good place to find these: http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/sis.html?_itemId=140427109530&_nkw=Supra%20JZA80%203%20Piece%20Number%20plate%20garnish%20Carbon%20Fibre I'm happy to help (via reliable friends) with arranging the Australian end, if you need
  11. V160 should look like this: http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/merchant/catalog/jdm/t/supramkiv/p/to/to_v160.jpg
  12. Nice find. For mine, I'm annoyed that Toyota chose a really cheap fabric rather than pure black Alcantara/suede for their Recaros. Why should Hondas get nicer stuff? Or is it just because most Honda drivers are more concerned about appearances than performance?
  13. Sorry to see you had issues, but sounds like it's the price of progress. Good luck, and keep up the sterling work!
  14. *Sounds* serious, would like more comprehensive photos.
  15. I have a PWR radiator, and twin electric fans (although only one is hooked up!). For what it's worth, the reason my workshop recommended the electric fans was due to the potentially worn-out clutch fan. Otherwise, it pushes PLENTY of air, and is sufficient for all but the most dedicate drag cars.
  16. While I'm personally not sold on the style of 505s, I've been comforted by the fact that the 295 R888s on my 19x10.5 rears hold the power of my car - and 305/315 on a 19x11 will be even better.
  17. Coolant seems a bit hot. From what I was told for mine, and recently when talking to LeeP, over 100 is starting to get too hot, and 110 is definitely too hot.
  18. What are your coolant and oil temperatures peaking at?
  19. As Nic, I have driven mine in the Australian summer without issues with excess heat. Perhaps you should be looking at other ways to control the engine bay heat - turbo beanie, exhaust coating or wrap, water/meth injection?

    Gidday

Supraforums.com.au is also a good place to research - as parts will be local to you, and a lot of the long-standing members are very helpful!
  21. Looks very clean. Yellow is a bit in-your-face for me, because I don't like to be noticed in mine
  22. As I said earlier, mate, hope you can find time to hang out still. Good luck with the move too
  23. Nice work, Steve. Looks like a little more work has been done since I popped in to see Lee on Monday, too!
  24. Just make sure you get those axles far enough in when you reinsert them! Mine has been leaking like a sieve.
  25. When I swapped from A03B (late model 6 speed diff) to B03B (early model 6 speed diff), I bought a brand new US spec LHS driveshaft/axle from Curt Aigner as the RHS one is identical.
