I've not read the entire thread Scott so forgive me if this has been mentioned before, but the 3g is woefully slow on the SII and its also alot more complicated to make sure its turned off, and data roaming for that matter. They need to add a couple of swipe buttons for 3g on/off and the same for the Roaming. Everything else is fantastic imo, it was a MASSIVE step up for me from my iPhone 3g and i dont regret getting it for a second. The second thing thats annoying is the predictive text, it doesnt have the same predictive algorythms as the iPhone wherein if you accidently press the wrong letter (next to the one you were supposed to press) because you have normal size fingers and not that of a pianist, then it doesnt predict what your actually meaning to type. These are the only 2 things i've found that the iPhone is superior over the S2, EVERYTHING else is much much better on the Galaxy....in fact its not even close. I actually felt bad giving my iPhone to my Gf because of how bad a phone it is, but she wanted it so she's happy.
Some good tricks i've found with the S2 are
1.) Swipe left on a contact to take you straight to texting them, swipe right to call them.
2.) Hold down the "menu" button on the left to take you straight to "Google Search Engine"
3.) Hold down the lock button to allow you to turn on/off data roaming
4.) Press menu, then edit, then drag and drop to create new folders and pages.
5.) Put you finger on the screen number (1,2,3,4 etc depending on what screen your on obviously) to quickly scroll between screens.
6.) In "Voice Talk", you can send messages, make calls even navigate to places (make sure the GPS is on though) without having to touch the screen at all. For texting etc, speak "Hi Galaxy" and it will wake up and ask what you want to do, then either say "Message Scott" or "Call Scott" or "Navigate to London" etc and it will do it for you. Its actually very good and picks up what your saying really well.
