  1. Just bought the Britemax twins kit and signed up to detailingworld as a result of this thread... this could be the start of a new obsession
  2. Good work I like reading these simpler project type threads. It's nice to be reminded that there are other people out there sorting out the more standard stuff and not everyone is fitting £1million turbos and stuff!
  3. That'd be grand Just out of interest, what suspension are you taking off? Not that I'm after them, just so I can get an idea of how different you expect them to be. And Rob, sorry to hijack your thread btw... I assumed as you'd bought yours that you'd finished with everyone else's views Tell me if not and I'll naff off.
  4. Rob, how are the BCs doing? I've just started looking around for some coilovers. Not really considered the BCs until I read this thread. I have been looking at Tein Flex/Mono Flex and HSD HRs (that being said, I have only been looking for a couple of hours, so I've not made any decisions yet). Has anyone else used HSDs? Before reading this I would have assumed they sat between Tein and BC in the market, due to price, but everyone here seems to think the BCs beat the Teins, so now I'm confused! I use the car for street use only. I don't know exactly what Tein mean by 'advanced street use', but that's what drew me to the Mono Flex simply due to the type of car it is! I am mostly interested in performance, but would like to retain some ride comfort; I don't want the car to become unusably uncomfortable. A little help here..??

    Pub meets.

These all sound like good ideas. One of these days I might make a Pease Pottage meet! So far I've been at work for all of them except one, which ended up being cancelled because of the weather!
  6. A duck's a#se springs to mind. Also those cars are quite close together
  7. Very smart. How did you get the brick pattern on it?
  8. Gutted to miss this... have a cracking time everyone!
  9. It didn't come out of an aerotop. I assume, judging by your question, that they're different?
  10. As above, I have a boot carpet for sale. The one with the flap for the cubbyhole behind the rear seats. The only reason I'm selling is because I've replaced it with one without the hole. It's in decent condition with no rips etc. Clips to join it to the rear seat are not included as I used them for my new carpet. Can sort pictures if anyone is interested. £40 collected. £50 delivered.
  11. Bump Has anybody scrapped one of these? Any ideas what I might get for it at the scrappy... give me some idea if it's worth my while getting it there...
  12. Straightsix sourced parts from elsewhere... these are for sale again. OFFERS
  13. Done. Just to cover myself (I had a recent allegation of a 'misleading advert' by some moron on eBay - his complaint was unfounded and went nowhere!), are you happy from the pictures that the wiring is the right wiring you need? If you're sure, that's fine, or if you're happy to accept what I think is the case, that's fine. If not, I'll happily sort you out some other pictures if you want clarification. If you're happy with the above, I'll PM you my PayPal. I'll check postage costs as well; if it's ridiculous I'll come back to you. That all fair? I'm very tired so I'm sorry if it makes no sense
  14. Bump. Any offers; need this out the way.
  15. Bump. Any offers; need these out the way.
  16. Sorry I didn't mean to come across as scrounging... if you want payment for the little bits of course I'll pay for them, I just wanted to nab them if you were going to throw them out. I'm away for the weekend. I'll send you pictures of the bits I mean when I'm home.
  17. Random request... do you have any of the screws / clips that hold all this stuff in? In particular, the 'quarter circle' rear suspension cover part is held in with two screws and a clip. I need one of the clips. Also one of the 'coat hooks' off the rear quarter window plastic panel (nearside, but I think they're the same). If you have these, would you mind bunging the clips and a handful of screws in the post for me? If you want I'll send you a couple of quid or something by PayPal to cover postage. Also (I'm not sure how much you've dismantled) if you have the bolt that holds the bottom of the rear seatbelt in (the bottom of the belt itself), could you chuck that in with it? If this doesn't make sense I can sen you some pictures next week to clarify the bits I'm after
  18. Awesome! I'd love an MX5 but I haven't got the room for the Supra, an MX5 and a practical car.
  19. He's a lunatic! Hilarious!
  20. Tailgate / boot lid for sale. It'll need a respray unless you're not bothered about the paint condition; it's two different shades of grey, it's scuffed, the paint is peeling at the edges and there are rust spots. It's a bit rusty around the spoiler holes too. Selling it well aren't I?? The washer jet hole, wiper hole and badge holes are still present. The washer jet system, wiper motor and arm will be sold separately so are not included. The badges also aren't included because I don't have them. A few large holes have been drilled out of the inside skin, presumably to fit a BGW in the past. These are hidden by the interior plastic trim so aren't much of a problem, but they annoyed me. This is the main reason I replaced it. There have previously been four holes in each side of the outside skin, where said BGW would have fitted. These have been filled and smoothed, but the paint has sunk slightly so they are visible. The glass is in good condition. It's got a silver / mirror tint on it, which I'm pretty sure was a Toyota optional extra. I guess you could remove this if you didn't want it. If you particularly like the silver tint, I have the matching rear quarter windows which I would be willing to sell as well, but would need to source some replacements first. I'll put photos up if/when anyone wants to see them. Offers. Collection only. If you're local I might be able to sort out delivery if I can borrow my mate and his van.
