  1. Thanks mate. I've just googled both of those and none of the pictures look obviously like what I'm looking at. I'm not certain though.
  2. I pushed the hose back onto the connector; it was just hanging loose in the engine bay (the other end is attached elsewhere).
  3. So my girlfriend's dad drives a Nissan Terrano II 2.7 Turbo Diesel and currently the turbo does not seem to be working. I've read that these engines rely mostly on the turbo, which seems to tie up with the current lack of any sensible power. I've read up on how to bridge diagnostic port pins to flash the ECU light to display fault codes, but had no luck. What I've read suggests bridging pins 6 and 7, but pin 6 is empty on this vehicle. I have no idea why. I've had a quick look for the 'missing' wire but it's not anywhere obvious. I've given up on the diagnostics idea for now and decided to have a stare around the engine bay for inspiration instead. The vehicle is Portuguese registered and LEFT HAND DRIVE. There is a sensor attached to the bulkhead on the driver's side (LHS of car; RHS as you look into the engine bay), below the brake fluid reservoir, which looks as though it should have a hose connected to it. There is also a loose hose with a split in the end, which will reach this sensor (but won't stay on because of the split). The hose comes from a little black thing with a few other hoses off it; I'm not sure what this is. My questions: What is this sensor? Should the hose be connected to it? Is this likely to be the source of the apparent turbo problem?? Pictures of said sensor to follow.
  4. Mine is similarly tight, also reversed in. The thought being, if it ever won't start, I can get under the bonnet. I have yet to put up any carpet... I just open the door carefully. My garage leaks though so the car gets wet It needs sorting out!
  5. James, talk to Lee about his old Teins. They're on my car at the moment but I'll be looking to replace them soon as they're a bit harsher than I want. I think they're the Mono Flex (I can't actually remember off hand) and they have the EDFC with them.
  6. I cancelled my AA membership a few years back because I get free RAC cover through work. Reading all this, it might be worth paying out for the AA again! It's a bit of a gamble though. If I only ever need to use it once or twice, I could probably put up with it and save the money.
  7. Home and exhausted! Awesome weekend! Thanks to Branners and co for all the planning and whatnot. Great roads, great weather and most importantly of all a great bunch of people. Cheers all! When does the DB15 thread start??
  8. If anyone has a spare radio I'd like to borrow one! I'll be in the car on my own now as my girlfriend's passport isn't here in time. Branners, does that affect anything I've booked at all? Apart from the meals, which is my problem, I don't think it shoukd cause any issues.
  9. Nice one. I'll give you a shout tomorrow. I can meet at SRD or en route somewhere. Pease Pottage maybe?
  10. What bulbs are in the facelift front indicator / side light unit? Trying to get my spares together. Is changing them a bumper off job? Or take the headlight out and work from above? Never had to do it.
  11. That sounds like a sensible time. I can meet anywhere between SRD and Gatwick really, I'm in Crawley.
  12. Anyone going from Gatwick area to Ashford on Thursday evening? Might as well go down together if there are a few of us!
  13. I was going to use screws with big washers on them but glue sounds much easier if it'll hold that well. I'm just a bit concerned about the top coming loose and flopping down on the car.
  14. I don't like the look of all that windscreen wiper action
  15. I will be too... I didn't mean this month. If that was aimed at me..?
  16. I'll be up for this meet at some point, but can't make tomorrow
  17. I had considered that too... I might do both. Carpet behind with strips of pipe insulation across it. Just in case!!
  18. I'm going to stick some pipe insulation strips along the garage wall for a similar effect in case I manage to hit it. I have the benefit of not having other vehicles parked next to mine, but the garage is very narrow!
  19. Haha! It looks like the best meet I've seen anywhere local to me! I'll drop you a text Sunday if/when I'm on my way.
  20. I should be up for this. Looks like a decent meet and will make a good pre-DragonBall run! I don't finish work until 3am Saturday night though so if I end up being off late (unlikely but possible) it might not happen. 1. KamaSupra 2. Soopra +1 3. james_cbr +1 4. GreaseMonkey 5. 21. Oh Which other one? Another one for Sussex or elsewhere? I haven't paid much attention to the 'meets' section for a couple of years because my car has been too embarrassing to drive, let alone drive to where other Supras will be!
  22. Let's get this going! I've never managed to make a Pease Pottage meet due to work but I'm definitely up for coming now the car's done! - - - Updated - - - Is it worth putting together a list of who would be interested? Then we can actually see if it's worth doing... - Kilps
  23. I really must pass on the credit of this work. Kay and his team at Xquisite have done a fantastic job! Very easy to deal with, very patient when I took forever to choose a colour! All in all a nice experience and an outstanding result! http://www.xquisiteautomotive.co.uk/
