  1. OK, well, my DELL is fantastic but I would probably need more than £120 for it inc postage... :s
  2. My girlfriend and I move to Japan in under two weeks, and though I've sold my car, she hasn't got around to selling hers and so I said I'd list it on here before going anywhere else. The car's located in Surrey. It's a "Panther Black" Ford Fiesta 1242cc [82PS] Petrol Manual 2009 Style+ model (09 plate) with just 1 owner from new (my girlfriend). It has Quickclear heated windscreen (and obviously rear too), ABS+EBA, Electric power steering, Body colour electrically adjustable door mirrors, 4 speakers (very impressive sound system actually), Body colour door handles, Courtesy headlamp delay, Air conditioning, Unmarked Cloth interior, CD player, AV input (iPods and so on) and was fully serviced in June 2010 (when 1 year old). It has done just over 11k miles at the time of writing [11,150] and has never skipped a beat. It has full service history and roughly 18 months warranty remaining of the original manufacturer's 3 year warranty. We've only opened the bonnet to put screen wash in! Asking price is £8,250 https://img.skitch.com/20101228-sr4wqu4t2xysy117y6778dbq.jpg https://img.skitch.com/20101228-bp898ej9f9wkq91m6umma7pqm3.jpg https://img.skitch.com/20101228-jbhj876qaad6t4d8fqpqpes3r4.jpg
  3. Does it need a tuner? I have a 24" Dell monitor you see, with S-video, DVI, VGA and composite connections, and a USB hub.
  4. It's a shame any religions exist at all in this day and age. I guess people need something to "believe" in. Because Father Christmas is obviously just a fictional character, whereas God created humans and the Earth in a few days - obviously! Sod the dinosaurs though, don't mention those. Man didn't know about them when he wrote religions. Same goes for the tectonic plates and subsequent discoveries of evolution and diversity. Or that the Earth wasn't flat, nor the centre of the Universe. Anyway, Merry "present-giving-day" everyone!
  5. Hi guys, sorry for the epic delay on this and thanks for the offers! Life's been crazy recently, and I sold the iPad locally.
  6. Swapped the XBOX 360 for a DS lite to take with my to Japan I no longer have a car chaps, so I can't drive it anywhere really I am afraid. It needs to be gone by the 14th of December, else I'll hang onto it for when (if!) I return. Hope it goes to a good home; I damn well love it.
  7. You are interesting, Gav It fit's in the back of a Supra
  8. Thanks gav. I used to have it hooked up to my MacBook as an external monitor for watching hd movies and it looked amazing. I could pro ably get a screenshot to show it off properly...
  9. I'm moving to Japan in January, and no longer need a few things, first of which will be my 42" plasma monitor - it's not a TV as it has no built in tuner, but I have used it with my playTV to watch TV on on more than a few occassions, including many DVDs and it's been the centrepiece of my gaming setup for the past 24 months. I got it as an ex-display model from Kendals in Manchester, but I live in York now - so it's collection from York only. I ran my PS3 through the BNC connection, and my XBOX 360 through VGA- at maximum resolution (some kind of upscaling must occur). There are no screen burns at all on the screen - and blacks are very deep black It's a great monitor and would make an excellent addition to a games-centred room - or to a PS3 playTV savvy room Looking for £175 £150 collected from York. http://img.skitch.com/20101106-rkja6jbfmy5n69wwgcmsqbmrn3.jpg http://img.skitch.com/20101106-b33aeqg7nxng293b4iwdq51ngk.jpg http://img.skitch.com/20101106-r6s34r2s8dth3abrtxsjxf5bsb.jpg http://img.skitch.com/20101106-qaxyn45ub6swubbuei9x65q5td.jpg http://img.skitch.com/20101106-b6h3b4cs52ym4dhwqn1t9ebk6w.jpg Also advertised locally
  10. I prefer the new one. It's too late anyway, it's not going back so I'd just lump it TBH. It's quite a lot of work doing such a thing, which people completely take for granted.
  11. Like the new style; many other forums I am on have been like this for a while. Hats off to those involved to get my favourite car club into a similar format, but with all the perks I've not seen on other forums
  12. It's close between Burna and Gaz6002 IMO

    insurance

Sometimes there's voluntary excess and compulsory excess, which aren't always clearly defined. A friend of mine also found this out the hard way.
  14. "You are more likely to win the lottery than you are to get mugged in Essex," he said. "That's a fact."
  15. Odds != Probability Furthermore, it seems most people really do forget maths when they leave school, which is how the lottery works in the first place
  16. No, it doesn't matter. It doesn't work like that.
  17. Just a little reminder, being as it's a car forum, I'll make Gaz's post a little clearer... Everyone I know has had their insurance go up, loads. My girlfriend's has gone from £250 to £500. Bonkers.
  18. Reoccurring alarms only mate.
