  2. A minimum would be 12 months. I have this from my Eibach trade catalogue, the information below may be useful for you to get in touch with them and get the issue resolved. EIBACH UK SWANNINGTON ROAD BROUGHTON ASTLEY LEICESTERSHIRE LE9 6TU (T) +44 (0)1455 2865 24 EMAIL: [email protected] best of luck
  3. Yes they come with a manufacturers warranty. If you had them fitted, contact the garage/supplier who supplied/fitted the springs and take it from there.
  4. Your car appears to be in good condition, hope you enjoy it and keep it that condition.

    shill bidding

if they bid on their own item, they'll only have to re-advertise it again. People should just set a minimum reserve, if its met then thats that, if not try again or consider the options. I personally don't use ebay, but do browse it. Consistently hearing of scmas etc and to be honest I just don't have the trust as a result.
  6. loooks like a damaged car with the salvage yard writing over the windscreen.... hope he realises it will most likely cost a fortune to repair!

Congratulations on your purchase, hope it continues to fulfill you
  8. It really sucks to work hard and sacrifice to own nice cars only to have half witts all around us.

    platinum autos

fwiw, we used to have a J plate Honda Accord 2.2i, that had 267,000miles and still drove tight and sounded spot on. Only needed a new gearbox at about 220,000miles but other than that it was justs ervicing and a CV joint. Would have still had it to this day if a dustbin lorry didn't drive into the rear of it. I have had a few GT4's with 130/140K on them and to be honest they wipe the floor compared to an M3 and M5 for reliabilty/miles which I've had since. High miles are a an issue if neglect is evident. I'd say, if you like everything else about the car, at least go and view it, you have nothign to loose in that respect.
  10. All I can say is that I cabn sympathise wuith how you are feeling as its happened to me about 2 years ago on my BMW. Its the inconvinience, unexpected cost (which if done right costs a lot), avoidable hassle etc that you have to go through that makes it worse. I hope you are able to get the repair work done to a good standard with the minimal of fuss.
  11. Thanks for the information. A few GT4's I've had did have about 130-140,000 miles on them when I sold them. They were still running extremely well and without fault, only requiring usual servicing and the odd TLC item due to miles. When I have had Toyota's (a few GT4's) in the past, I have always had UK cars with fsh. Having spoken to dealers back then, they did say that there can be slight variations in import cars and sourcing the parts as a result becomes extremely difficult. (I do always use a reputable main dealer for most repair and more technical service work and a local garage for tlc oil changes, brakes etc).
  12. Tried the search facility and also the links which appear when you enter the thread title but didn not find what I was looking for. - how robust are, and what life expectancy can one expect from a head gasket on a Supra TT, assuming its been well looked after and driven generally as any Supra would? - how long do rocker cover gaskets last roughly before they perish? - is there a gearbox oil dispstick in the engine bay to check the condition of the automatic gearbox oil? (also to replace the auto trans fluid, is the unit 'sealed' or does it have suitable drain/fill holes? I have always at roughly 100,000miles, regardless of vehicle, at the very least changed all front and rear suspension bushes, joints, links etc. Roughly, how long do suspension bushes tend to last on one? (I assume any 1995/96 or so car will need this doing upon purchase to ensure stable handling). - at what intervals is the cambelt due? Any further points to look for on a car with circa 160,000miles but owner says it has full history? (Finding a UK spec Supra is hard work, and I am trying to get one over going back to something like a 99 BMW M3 or 2001 BMW M5, but if I can't find a nice enough car at a genuine price within a few months I'll be forced back to BMW).
  13. Its very shocking at how irresponsible and a lack of common sense/manners that some people have. Hope that there was no damage and it was just a case of having the misfortune of bumping into a clueless woman.
  14. - UPS (pricey but generally reliable and good service) - A N C Couriers - TNT - Parcels 2 Go (can be found on ebay) - DHL - (with Royal Mail & Parcel Force it will get thrown about, I used to work for Royal Mail uptil some months ago).
  15. Quite distinctive indeed, but £1495 for suc a bolt on accessory is a no-no in my book as £1495 can buy soo much more!
  16. LOL, whilst that is funny, I do feel for women who do get scerwed over by unethic garages.
  17. excellent easy to follow information for a newbie, thank you.
  18. many thanks! reading it now
  19. From the original picture; Whats the 'MANU'/ECTis button all about? I currently looking for a TT auto so would be nice to know
  20. They do suit the car and the colour of the vehicle is stunning.
  21. Actually they look quite fitting for the vehicle, they seem to work with it rather than stand out against it.
  22. looking nice, hate seeing red cars that have now faded to a pinkish colour, but that looks quite striking.
