  1. Don't know much about tuned big singles but those number seems quite mighty!
  2. looks nice indeed! was this not a club members car? I'm sure one indentical to this was sent to me to illustrate what a set of 18" GT2 would look like on a Supra.
  3. Looks nice, as mentioned loose the spoiler and IMO, keep the standard front bumper as its better and cleaner than aftermarket ones.
  4. Whilst there are some very tastefully uprated/modified Supra's on this forum and around the world, as you say, its the likes of the stupid barn door spoiler, failside rubbish that affects the reputation of these cars in addition to the idiots who cannot genuinely afford to run them. Thus resulting in several cars in a poor state looking hideous.
  5. Well the answer to that is NO! I bought my car from a fellow forum member, who was, dare i say bit older than 45. He also owns a Lambo Gallardo and new GTR. Here he is whilst trekking through Europe; He thoroughly enjoyed the Supra for about 10 years, even going abroad. He would have still kept it had Nissan not created the new GTR. Unfortunately, being a Japanese performance car, many Supra's have fallen into the wrong hands, been hideously modified, featured in rubbish boy racer movies like fast n furious. This does the car no favours at all. However today, going in the opposite direction, I saw a respectable late 30's/early 40's chap driving an unmolested, exceptionally clean Nissan 300zx and I thought, nice... hope you're enjoying it. Had it been a battered looking example with a baseball cap wearing idiot behind the wheel I would have thought... dear o dear....
  6. lol why put that in the advert! now other people will probably find there way to this thread to only discover there is no gearbox chip and the car's most probably a duffer through and through.
  7. If I'm in Coventry this weekend I must go to that garage
  8. Volvo 850 .... T5 There's quite a few RICA upgraded ones running about within budget.... funny as heck and uber comfy and reliable. Or take a look at the V70 models, nice.
  9. you need some more fuel Looking good
  10. What a feeling a I bet! Congrats you are happy with how its running. I always keep a few spare now. I nearly sold the car when I had it stuck on my drive due to coil pack connectors (weak point I didn't know about) and could not get any garage's out who also advertised a mobile service and me having 0 spanner skills. Thanks for the forum I bravely attemtped it and did it myself using the tech guide.
  11. - major service (as per schedule) - 2 new rear tyres - new rear brake pads/discs (OE Toyota) Extras; - Looking for a AV double din (got one lined up) screen - Keep looking for a new set of 18"
  12. Try http://www.mytyres.co.uk to see if they are available in that size. I know the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric is available in that size. I personally favour the Eagle F1 Asymetric and currently have these on test on my Volvo T5 and so far, very impressed, just seems like a more refined version of the GSD3 and also I personally favour asymteric over directionals. Years ago, I used to run Bridgetsone SO2's on a number of performance cars. Whilst they performed well, they wore very quickly and the more worn they got the performance tailed off drastically. As a result, for years I have favoured the Goodyear F1's, consistent reliable performance, good price, good wear rates, good performance upto the 1.6mm tread depth limit.
  13. I am running Michelin PS2's all round on mine. The wear rate is very impressive, all round performance I cannot fault to any extent and its also one of the quietest tyres due to the tread design. I don't really rate Bridgestones in general, whilst they are a good respectable tyre, I find them to perform better on some cars than others. Toyo's, the likes if the T1R etc I don't rate due to minimalist wear rate and the performance, from my experience isn't above that if the Michelin Pilot Sports. I do drive a number of cars and am in the trade and to be honest my choice is always Michelin Pilot Sport, Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetric and Continental Sport Contact consistently.

    Car Cover

I trioed many cheaper ones but splashed out on one from Coverzone. Superb quality, many options for you to choose from depending on your use, prices from around £70+. First class quality, extremely strong, securing straps, flawless over 8 months of use to date and a semi tailored fit to the Supra!

    My New Supra

congrats, bet you can't wait to physically get your hands on it now
  16. Is it the actual loom you need or have the coil pack connector clips disintegrated? If you just need new connector clips, get them from Paul Whiffin @ GarageWhifbitz. If you need a new loom then may be worth contacting Keron to see if he has any removed from a breaker.
  17. But she's got lovely pairs of pyjama's she says
  18. HI & Welcome, best of luck with the Supra.

    A Thank You!!

Nice one. Glad you got some first hand experience to help you decide wether a Supra is for you or not. Seems like a nice and helpful chap! IIRC, Guigsy also offered to take me out in his Supra when I was considering BPU.
  20. Fwiw, Supra's are NOT cars that you can simply expect to find close by. This make finding a 'good' one even harder. You will not do yourself any favours by willing to travel, thus having to accept what ever turns up within your prefered radius. I have always been happy to travel the length of the county many times as needed until I find the right car. After 1 year I ended up getting a club members car from Aberdeen - it was 'the one' for me over many I had seen.
  21. Don't know if this is of any use, but my previous Jaguar XKR 4.2 S/C had factory fitted Brembos! If these can be modified to fit a Supra then may be worth hunting some Jaguars
  22. Whilst browsing autotrader earlier, I noticed a building that looked very familiar but with a different name all over it so I took a closer look. Everything is still the same but the company name! I even called as a customer enquiring about the car and the name of the owner/trader was the same. What was, Jap Performance UK, is now shown as JAP Prestige Performance Ltd As some of you may know, I did not have a great experience with Jap Performance UK, didn't really think much of their overall stock or attitude towards customers or business but this can be found in other related threads. I am convinced that they are all cousins/brothers etc running this along with the few Keighly Trade centre places. Why would they change their trade name? For others not in the know, this may be heads to investigate and think carefully before buying a car from this lot.
