Not only the damage on the side, but the panel gapping around the o/s bonnet area looks scary!

Looks like a car that someone has; 1. incorrectly fitted the body kit and tried to hide the gaps with decorators caulk/sealant/filler. 2. quick DIY spray job on the alloys to tart them up for sale Based on the pictures alone, I would not even go to view that car!

Hiya! I just looked as you were about to go past, the sound was distinctive Supra with de-cats... thats why I looked up, sounded very nice. I was going to try and wave but decided against it as you would have thought whats that plonker waving at lol.

Welcome to the forum, nice looking Integra! Fwiw, I think you should try out a N/A and a TT model of the Supra. Ask or search about the running costs etc and then decide which to go for. Personally I don't see much point in going for a an N/A.

Saw a black Supra J-spec around mid afternoon tun off the A449 Penn Road into a side road where all the industrial units are opposite the Mercedes Garage. Sounded like it had de-cats. I was parked at the side in my Volvo cleaning some muck off my trainers lol.

Watnall, although to get to work etc I drive through the inner parts of Notts.

It seems strange that suddenly we have quite a few members (new) that are all from the same county as me. Still, I never see any other Supra's around this neck of the woods. Just hope they are sensible owners and not boy racers as I get enough grief on the A52 roads by pretty much every tom dick and harry wanting a pop. Having Supra's onwed by boy racer types will just make it worse as they will be raced around the city.

I noticed this as well and its not just them its related to several of them, even the ones that don't get a mention.

Excellent, looks good!!! Will definately have to have a go on that

They mention side skirts on the advert..... there are no side skirts fitted to the car ... daft muppets PMSL @ Pezler's comment about the daft bonnet scoop

Beware of Jap Performance UK - i did not have a great experience with them. When I spent nearly a year looking for a Supra, I pretty much gave up and spotted on at the above company that looked nice but was a bit pricey for what it was. Rang up, arranged to travel up, view the car, test drive and discuss a purchase all being well. Got their, owner was initially quite welcoming and friendly. Left me alone to take my time looking over the car. The car turned out to be what Iw ould class as in a pretty tatty state boy work wise, with a some flat spots on the paint and a few scuffs/grazes here and there, yet was told the body work was perfect on the phone. All engine fluids (engine, auto box, coolant) were dangerously low. Couldn't conclude why but the engine bay had been steam cleaned by them before parking it up so no chance of identifying leaks. They refused do the usual UK compliant stuff like mph speedo, fog light and whatever little things need to be done for the very high price they were asking. They would have done it at extra cost for me though! Then they refused a test drive unless I agreed to buy the car first and put down money.... (I actually had £500 cash and could easily have paid for the car in full on the spot if it ticked my boxes) - however, how can you agree to do thus, without being fully satisfied that the car drives well, you are happy with the dealer and agreeing a purchase price After stating that I was in a position to leave a deposit/buy provided I am happy with the car I was still refused a test drive, yet a test drive was accepted during a prior phone call to arrange viewing. Overlooking this for the moment I decided to see what they best price he would do the car at. Car was a 1995 TT Auto, priced at £7995. He said he would take off £50 due to exchange rates At this point I thought f*ck it and returned home. As I had phone up and driven up on a saturday (which turned out to be a waste at this point), I took a slow look around all the other imported cars they had. Some looked very nice externally and some made me shudder and think, how can dealers have the cheek to present cars in a such a tatty state yet request at least, top whack for them! I would most certainlly not advice anyone looking for a decent car at the right money to use Jap Performance UK. Like me, take your time and search the classifieds or take club advice and approach the authorised club traders such as JM Imports and GarageWhifbitz.

Not sure 100% on teh Supra's rear set up, but its definately linked to bushes. I have had BMWs that do this and they do it due to worn trailing arm bushes. The trailing arms go from the hus upto the chassis from the rear hub heading towards the front of the car. When these generate play the rear end starts to move and adverse conditions magnify the issue. If the Supra has trailing arms then this will be your problem otherwise its some other rear end suspenion bushes that have play in them. Also, when you have your geometry done, you need to have a full geometry set up not a basic one. Supra's respond to this exceptionally well.

Some very pictures there and the colour looks very nice indeed. Sounds like you are not planning on going too far with modifications, which I think is good as they look as goo any any in good standard form. Welcome and enjoy your time on the forum

I saw several 45-68,000km Jap imports that were sheds, refused some lower mileage UK spec cars due to lack of correct service hirtory and picked my Uk spec with FTSH, 140,000miles in A1 condition up and couldn't be happier with it. Even went for this over 2003 Audi RS6 and BMW M5's whcih was what I would have reluctantly bought did I not get my current Supra. Runs absolutly A1, far better than many cars I have had with less miles and its a a credit to Japanese over engineering.

There are always the odd OE exhuasts popping up in our classified ads section. There was a system recently for about £60, should still be there. Also you may want to try Keron on here who breaks Supra's so would also be likely to have a system available.

I think this is what the original poster was after, if the above is correct..... its definately bang on!

To be honest, you need to have some pleasure and wake up in the morning and 'want' to go to work with a smile. You want to leave satisfied etc. If you are thinking this and have been for sometime, have an alternative and are able to move on it, as you seem able to do it and are happy with the outlay..... go for it! I am also thinking of setting up another business abroad, running a business, in my experience is stressful at times but, I enjoy putting in the efforts and appreciate that the rewards are satisfying.

Welcome to the club. I am sure you will gain good knowledge about Supra's and buy a nice one as a result. However, sounds like if yu are keeping the Type R then to be honest in performance terms the n/a will not be a an absolute thriller for you, in my opinion. HOwever, TT's are very well built, will last a life time and have excellent ergonomics and specifications. I would most certainly try and push for a TT model.

As mentioned, recorded accidents etc, regardless of fault never bode well with insurers. May be time to try elsewhere and try and take advantage of any introductory discounts etc.
-
I get about 18-26mpg in general which is about right. Can push for more but then you are driving at a snails pace.

I agree, ZX9R similar to my ZX6R I thnk make superb sports road bikes for the same reasons as my ZX6. Personally could not warrant trading to a ZX9R thought. Tried every R1 since 2004 but never bougt due to minimalist fairing and high speed wind discomfort. Thanks for that, I'll have to try out a GSXR1000.
-
Jamie - how tall are you? If 6ft or more, how do you get on comfort wise with the GSXR? Never tried a GSXR1000 but I fit the 2008 R1 & Firebalde quite nicely without any discomfort.
