My injectors and resistor pack arrived today from Chris Wilson:). Just thought I'd add a picture of the resistor pack as I didn't know what they looked like so it might help someone else if they see one. I know there are cheaper ways of doing this but I thought I could make it look pretty OEM looking with this.

Thanks for the link mate, this is something I might try once I've got it up and running OK.

Thanks for the comments guys, I'm looking forward to bolting it all back together.
  5. Do you want to sell the boost sensor mate?

Had a bit of a play today, while my injectors are with Chris Wilson I thought it good time to spray the last piece of the inlet. I started of by sanding the casting lines off the upper inlet, which I should of done in the first place;) Primed it and flat sanded before colour Then I removed the lower intake and cleaned it Before Ready for primer Then primed I blasted the 'Y' piece again as I'd scratched it. It's now in the garage drying, I couldn't resist offering the fuel rail I'd sprayed the other night up to it though:D And yes i know I need to sort the bolts holding the fuel rail on;)
  7. Missed the updates on these, awaiting prices mate;)
  8. Thanks for the replies guys. I can get the internals removed and the plate welded back on and re-mapped by a firm with a very good reputation on the VW/Skoda forums but I don't really want to do that 'just' incase something changes in the future on the MOT's. As my cars an 06 the emissions are 3.0 (would be 1.5 I believe if it was an 08 or newer) and on the last test (december 15th) it was 0.3. The problem with it clogging up now is defiantly the short journeys my Mrs is now doing every week in the car. Come the summer again it won't be as bad as she walks a lot more then but I'm just trying to limit any damage before that. Thanks Lee, that really is great of you I'll give them a ring later and see what they say. I have already ordered some of this after some internet reading but I'll call these guys before I put it in.
  9. My Dpf light came for the second time last night (Octavia Vrs Diesel) so I went for a run and in about 15-20mins it went off but it is a pain in the arse as a change in our circumstances now means the car does a lot of short runs which is obviously not good for any diesel car with a Dpf. I've been reading a LOT about Dpf removals and it 'seems' it's not illegal but unless done right can cause to much smoke and then an MOT failure. Anyone had any experience with doing this, I've phoned a few companies and they all say it's not a problem but they are trying to sell the service so I guess they would:)
  10. Great looking car, as said get it lowered a bit and it's bang on the money:)

Mine wasn't any trouble to remove but the engine is out so that may make it a bit easier, I do need new gaskets yes a head set is next on my list actually and a new set off plugs then I'll finish it all properly and bolt it all back together torqued up and everything. It's only mocked up at the minute so all the parts are together and I don't loose any of the bolts and bits;)

No mate, not really, I was going to try and get it ready for Japfest but I'm not going this year now so I can relax on the build a bit. I've bought an E-Manage Blue with the harnesses of a member on here, just need the map sensor. I haven't touched the engine for a while, just been to busy this month to be honest and I'm taking my little girl to Florida in April so the money situation is a bit tight as well:innocent:. I will get there, eventually;)
  13. Wow loving that, very clean. I'm coming to Florida in about 10 weeks, is your shop just by the airport? Thinking of calling in for a look around
  14. That's a million dollar question mate. I'm not rushing as I want to do a fair bit of tarting up while I'm in the process. My spare engines out of the car at the moment so i could fit them on that and take plenty of pics:innocent:
  15. Oh someone beat me to the cost question:p keep the pics coming mate
  16. Wow I've been looking at these for my NA-T build but none looked good enough to me. These look great mate, very very interested, any idea on the costs for a set
  17. You can get them on ebay form £130 posted from america but I've never used them so wouldn't know if they could be trusted or not. I think this was what you must of read.
  18. I'd be interested in this if the others fall through.
  19. As above, never looked into it to be honest. Got any info you can share with us ding bats lol
  20. Great thread mate. This could help me in the future as I'm sure there will be some teething problems as with most conversions, it's part of the fun;) Just hope my power figures are in the same region as yours:)
  21. How much mate and do you know if it will handle an NA-T torque? I'm not going for big power, hoping for the 350bhp region
