There are certainly a lot of posts. As to how many are worthwhile I have my doubts. A lot of it seems like a waste of bandwidth to me.

OK - I have a silver NA aero. All very nice and clean. 60K miles. Only bought a month ago and definately no probs. The ONLY issue is I am not keen on the colour. My last Supra was Red and she was lovely. I want a red one. I want this one. Does anyone want to buy my Silver one.

"TBH I can't see what the fuss is about. The Sharia "courts" will have no jurisdiction over anybody without their consent." "I could imagine cases where people are forced by those around them to go to a Sharia court." Hmmmmmmm.

findings, otherwise you'd say "feck that" and not agree to it in the first place. I think we all know that a lot of members of that society have no choice. It is not generally seen as the most tolerant society.

Last month Mr Munajid condemned the Beijing Olympics as the "bikini Olympics", claiming that nothing made Satan happier than seeing females athletes dressed in skimpy outfits. Classic - has he ever tried to do the high jump or the hurdles in a full length burka and win at an international level. I also wonder how long he watched it to make sure he was satisfied that Satan was happy.

with modern understanding of science..... why does religion still exist anyway ?? Religion is not logical otherwise all religions would fail on the test of proof. Religion is about trust and predominantly what one wants to believe. The religious types call it faith those who have no faith can't understand it. Similarly the religious types can't understand why someone else would not have the same faith. The biggest laugh for me is when people call it Religion. That is total crap. I would like to propose the arguement that Religion is nothing more than big business and it is run by men for the purposes of men using all the tools of big business such as manipulation, empty promises, skewed values and violence.

Chav is about actions not looks. Add some mods (tupperware, ironing board spoiler, shell suit, baseball cap) and drive like a nob = chav in my book but it can apply to both Supe and Nova drivers. The only difference to me is the maturity of the owner. A chav will identify themselves by driving about without any regard for anything or anyone and the mods are his 'badge' Non chavs drive with respect for themselves, the public and their car. For a non chav their mods are a statement of their ability and maturity and are enjoyed sensibly.

Just has a look under the timing belt cover and the vernier adjustable gears I have fitted are looking a little worn as you can see the belt tracking. Best be safe and replace them I think. I dont have both originals - only one. Does anyone have an odd single gear or a pair or a new set available. Please PM price if so. Many thanks Chris

I think the issue with plates is to do with the reliance on ANPR technology. The camera OCR software cannot read the plate easily if it does not conform to regular style, size on the surrounding background and spacing. There are other issues with the static cameras and their aiming point. That is why very few cars have plates off to one side or high up or angled. From what I have learnt there are almost NO ways of getting around disguising your number with films etc as the image gets passed to a human operator to read. If the ANPR in the Traffic car cant read it then it flags up on their in car equipment and you get a pull anyway. I personally think all ANPR does is automate the criminalisation of the law abiding. I know that is a contradiction but the vast majority of people caught with ANPR are those who tax, MOT, insure their cars. They are generally the law abiding. The scum who steal car identities and set out to break the law are never caught. Why would they be. So long as they have the identity of a fully legal car they will almost certainly escape detection. Get coppers out in car and on foot. Lets have even more of them out in unmarked cars as well. We have loads of them here in Devon and they DO work. Virtually every car I see pulled down here is with an unmarked car. All the locals know this so it is usually the visitors that get pulled. Golden rule in Devon. Dont ever race another car. Its probably got one of Devons finest inside.

Big respect to the boys in blue down here. In all my dealings (one big my fault accident and a couple of pulls) they have been dead straight and acted like human beings. It does make a difference.

Would love a red one but have a silver NA aero at present. Can we do a deal between us.

I hope I am not the bearer of bad new but from my Mk3 Supra experience whenever water gets into the oil (Blown HG usually) the big ends go withing a few throusand miles as well. Maybe you are better to seek more advise and not take a hasty conclusion in case there is a longer term problem. Hope you do get it sorted. Chris

You will need a lot of Euros to feed the 'leccy meter for this experiment - Their own stats say - It uses around 120 MW (230 MW for all CERN), which corresponds more or less to the power consumption for households in the Canton (State) of Geneva. Assuming an average of 270 working days for the accelerator (the machine will not work in the winter period), the estimated yearly energy consumption of the LHC in 2009 is about 800 000 MWh. This includes site base load and the experiments. The total yearly cost for running the LHC is therefore, about 19 million Euros.

Jesus, Mohammad etc (choose you favourite brand) so we could cut through all of the man made 'interpretations' and get some proper clariification. Might put all the 'religious' types with their own agendas out of a job though. Is that a bad thing?

I currently have standard alloys on mine. The car looks fine but I think it deserves a bit of dressing. If anyone has a good set of different alloys (17'S preferred) and good safe and legal tyres they want to sell can they PM me. I can arrange collection by carrier. Thanks Chris

I bought a 2 sets of standard rams from the recycling centre at the tip for £10. Cut one pair down by slicing approx 3" as a wedge out of the middle. Then reweld them back together. I also cut the tyre stop off the ends and flared the ends out so the shallow ramp would fit over and onto the steeper ramp. That way you get a two stage ramp which works brilliantly. Cost me £10 about three hours a tin of old hammerite to make them pretty. The baeuty is that when the car is up on the ramps you remove the shallow ramp and have unobstructed access around the sills etc. I will try to put up a piccy tomorrow to show you.

What do you want for the bloke with the red ears and buck teeth. Will you accept £5 and throw in some Vaseline. -
Agreed, but until we get an effective programme what other reasonable choices are there. Detention protects everyone as far as I can see. Jacko - you wrote "People can change, so let's just pray to god he does". Who would give him the chance to prove it? I would not be surprised if there was not a single parent in this country who would give him a chance in a million years.

Yes you can lock burglars away and you can lock a paedo away but when they come back out the paedo needs more restrictions placed upon them than the burglar because society regards the threat the paedo poses as too great and too uncontrollable. There is a point at which society needs to feel both justice and fairness to all parties applies. Emotionally I want to give him a slow lingering death but logically I want to protect us (including other people in other countries) and him from whatever drives him and others like him whilst maintaining dignity as a human being.
