  1. Same here, I posted up a couple of threads about it... silence Mine is only at 1 bar in sequential, but will easily hit 1.4 in parallel...
  2. Seems a bit pricey, I got a price of £72.29 + VAT for the left disc, £75.46 + VAT for the right a couple of months ago. Both came to about £147 including VAT and a 20% discount.
  3. Folks, Apologies for bringing this up again, previous threads don't give much of a clue... My EGCV actuator rattles very loudly in sequential mode. I have ETTC and have to keep it in parallel around town, or it sounds like I have a nest of rattlesnakes under my bonnet when I lift off the throttle. I ran the hose TTC mod before the ETTC mod was done, and the actuator started to rattle on tickover after a couple of months of hose TTC - have a buggered it up by leaving it doing redundant for a while? Now, with ETTC, it doesn't rattle in parallel but is unbearable in sequential... if I hit boost, the rattle goes only to reappear soon after. Questions: 1) Seems to me I have a boost leak somewhere that is causing the rattle, is this possible? Could it be the pressure tank? 2) Can I stop the rattle by lashing up the bars going into the actuator? 3) If the actuator is knackered, is it worth replacing it? Thanks.
  4. I had to buy some clear indicator bulbs from Halfrauds, paint them with some clear orange Tamiya paint I had for a model Supra and finally sprayed them with chrome plasticote spraypaint. Probably not worth the effort
  5. Oh well If you don't ask, you don't get
  6. HKS S40i is the equivalent of Denso Iridium IK24. Some go for IK24s for a de-cat, i'm running 22's and have no problems. If you are having no problems with the S40 plugs, particularly with cold starting, stick with them.
  7. £590 for a modded j-spec TT. PM for details.
  8. Its Gordon Flynn, 'Gordon F' on here
  9. I'd like to know what they put in that tiny bottle to make it as effective as 7 litres of Toluene? Toluene still works out way cheaper if you buy it in bulk. This thread, along with the corresponding one on the GTR board have lots of info regarding octane boosters.
  10. Bottled octane boosters raise the octane by up to two points, so if Optimax is 98.6 adding a booster would bring it up to 98.8. Its cheaper and more effective to put 10% Toluene in your tank, raising it to around 100ron
  11. I just got a quote from NUD for £915 with £420 excess, nowhere near my best so far - £750 from Adrian Flux and Elephant. I won't go with Elephant, their customer service is appalling. I'm 27, 8yrs No claims (5 protected), live in a quiet rural area and have no points - how did it end up more expensive? They were only interested in performance modifications so I told them I had an aftermarket exhaust. I would love to know how they work these things out I hate renewal time, I spent the whole morning yesterday trying to sort my insurance out. It has now gone down a grand total of £150 since I bought my car two years ago! Why employ people who generally know nothing about cars? They just tap away at the computer and see what comes out -'sorry sir, we don't cover blah blah' https://jza80.mkivsupra.net/imports/2002/04/1.gif
  12. Same here, massive thank-you for everyone involved in organising them
  13. Mine goes on our non-tilting twin axle flatbed no problem, I have standard bodywork and suspension though
  14. Is that Chris Wilson in the Volvo
  15. Have you checked the fuse in the drivers footwell? The hazards and indicators are on seperate fuses.

    Rain!!

That is two words 99% of people who don't see the need for RLTC haven't tried it, so are in no position to comment. Some people are just in no position to comment
  17. The stupid thing is that standard parts are invariably more expensive than aftermarket ones. Body parts especially, how much would a new Toyota nosecone cost as opposed to a Stillen or Veilside?
  18. I've reported the auction to ebay, it looks like he has copied the blurb and pictures out of an ebay.com auction to me. I've also asked him why the car is pictured parked on a US street
  19. Thought as much, I was talking to someone about it the other night. They reckoned the VVTi Supras were nothing more than a means of keeping the car on the market for longer in the face of stricter emissions regulations.
  20. On the subject of the VVTI Supras, is there any reasoning behind the VVTI system being designed with reduced emissions rather than performance in mind?
  21. t04r.com features some ok supras
