  1. I guess the 'new' sound of the synth gave this one it's appeal: Uu6MDdxBork and this one probably only on the merits of the sax: 3UbHXSsiUnE Try "View Full Sized" link if embedded version doesn't work.
  2. I've only just got around to putting the 'old' one in! Can you tell if the new one actually reports OBD error codes now? The old one just shows a count of error codes stored, not the code itself, which never struck me as particulalrly useful (mine just shows '0' all the time anyway - not that I'm complaining!).
  3. Did you get yours set-up and working Pete? I'm considering one but, despite the fact that it's referred to as 'plug-and-play', I can see that this would really take quite a bit of setting up to get the most out of it (not to mention the fitment of a wideband oxygen sensor and AFR gauge).
  4. I found that complete file here (it's the last link on the page): Power Enterprise CAMCON Ti Although it's in Japanese, it does seem to confirm that the correct ECU wiring layout for the VVTi Supra is TO-04. Attached here too (just in case!) ...
  5. It's kind of ironic that Mr Toyota set the car up to run rich to preserve an item that was put there to deal with emissions created when, say, the car's running rich ...
  6. Big thanks to Mawby for changing this to a private poll! Come on everybody - you can all vote now without fear of recrimination!
  7. Quite a cool clock for your desktop: TRD Clock (Supra 10k RPM Clock)
  8. If you're using a sports cat. would you mind sharing manufacturer and experiences (performance, emissions, etc.)? Thanks!
  9. Sorry - yeah - that was a bit insensitive (not deliberate), given the subject. I can't change it now from public to private. Could a mod do that (please - if you read this)?
  10. Following on from yesterday's Air Filter poll ... Again, apologies if a poll like this has been done before (I did search). Hopefully, I've picked up all the most common options.
  11. In that case, it might be even more useful to get hold of a Blitz R-Vit - it does the same kind of job as the Informeter but also reports OBD error codes (the Informeter can only display a count of how many error codes are stored). I think it can be hooked up to a DVD-style screen as well to make things a bit more readable (see this old thread New Blitz R-VIT DS).
  12. For what it's worth, my VVTi is more or less stock - just cat-back exhaust - and I don't get this problem and I'm currently using RON 97 (Total Excellium - it's my cheapest local source for Super Unleaded according to www.petrolprices.com). I do have a Greddy Informeter hooked up through the car's OBD-II port and, amongst other things, this will show real-time ignition advance. If you could observe that when you experience the det. would it help?
  13. I'd be interested to know that too and I think it's washable/reusable (typically TRD will even sell you their own cleaning kit!).
  14. Hey - it'll still be stopping half-bricks and small children getting into your engine.
  15. Sorry I missed that one off the poll (and I don't think I can add it now) - looks like a good one too. Over 230 views of this thread and just 40 votes. Maybe a lot of people with HKS who don't want to admit it?
  16. That's an interesting point. Can any of you with the replacement panel filters confirm if they are washable/reusable and robust? If they were then, even ignoring any supposed performance gains, I guess they might be a worthwhile investment.
  17. Hey! You guys are 'skewing' my poll! Who's going to admit to having HKS now?
  18. How about asking the seller if they'll agree to one of these too? RAC Vehicle Inspection To be totally safe, you'd be best to organise this (rather than let them do it) ...
  19. Well, I might not be that far away. Do you have a postal code if not a full address? Xtreme Karz doesn't seem to be a garage, more of a 'fan site'. So perhaps this is a private sale (no warranty)? Might be worth asking how/why they have got the car.
  20. Hmmmm - could it be this one or a 'clone' of it? UK CAR SUPRA 3.0 TWIN TURBO (1994) Sorry for the repost - Michael beat me to it!
  21. Sorted! (Thanks for the encouragement).
  22. Well, that didn't work. Shall I try again?
