  1. One WILL come out if you whack it hard enough through the piston hole at the rear but be carefull to hit it bang on the centre. The other piston doesnt have a hole behind it so that one will be a whole lot more difficult. Best way to release it is to get a pair of mole grips on the edges of the exposed part of the piston and rotate it in the cylinder. This breaks much of the old gumed up crap and sticky grease in the piston/clyinder and if you keep rotating enough it should then be "easier" to try and pull out (again with mole grips). If they are seized, DONT expect this to be easy. By the time i had finished i was knackered and almost had a hernia. Fully working brakes should have pistons movable by hand.
  2. any stock silver OEM bumbers going in good condition?
  3. see how the SLS is being built right now on national Geographic sky channel 526:D
  4. Saw 2 in Reading a few weeks back. Prefered the Black Porche Carrera GT i saw on the way home tonight though!!!!!!, jesus it sounded awsome.
  5. will the spark plugs fit with that i place? i m sure you have tried, but it looks tight, and will be a huge PITA to change them once all is complete
  6. ive seen this one too. Dont think hes a member. Follwed me through Reading a year or 2 back and we chatted at some lights, but dont think he is a member, and he doesnt bring it out much if its the same fella
  7. Depends on what colour supra you are talking about. Apparently Toyota made loads of inferior red ones, but corrected their mistake and made just enough silver ones.
  8. wonder how much it cost for that and how much it added to the value of the car?
  9. OMG[sHOCK][/sHOCK] My 9 year old got an xbox for xmas and i decided to buy medal of honor to play when he has gone to bed. Im addicted, but blimey its hard online. Best ive done so far is a few more kills than No of times i died. Ive not got a headset yet, but not sure i need one ? any advice ? Anyone on hear have a gamertag and play regularly?
  10. JESUS CHRIST - That was some rant. You missed the bit about pensioners going shopping at lunchtime in the town centre, annoying everyone who only has 1 hour for lunch and has to queue longer because of them, when pensioners have all sodding day to do their shopping!!!! ARRRRRGGGGGGG
  11. Sounds like crank pulley. Mine did it earlier this year. Another test is to put heaters, rear screen heater, lights etc all on THEN start the engine. This puts load on the pulley and makes it worse so the squeak is more evident. Turn it all off and it might not squeek at all. Tip ex test is best though. Mine moved a full 90degrees as there seems to be 2 x parts of the crank pulley (inner and outer wheels spot welded together), once the spot welds go they move around each other. Some other members had horendous stories of when they broke, as the crank pulley (several punds in weight spinning at several thousand RPM) bounces aroubd the engine bay smashing up everything. Basically, do the test quick, if its the pulley dont drive it unless its to the garage.
  12. Same sort of principle/theory as is used in the manufacture/design of firefighters hose branches (the bit where the water exits from). They are designed to produce a certain droplet size to maximise heat loss/absobtion via evaporation of water.
  13. Thanks Shane. i dont really know what that last bit meant im afraid, but im interested in the forced download. How do i do that? On another note, BBC1, ITV, C4 and C5 have now completely dissapeared, and FIVER etc are innaccesable. HELP
  14. strange i though N/A was 2.5" and TT was 3". How can they be the same ?
  15. Thanks for the replies shane. I knew the channel 5 stuff and had done that already by using the add channels function to add five and FIVER etc, but interestingly, i couldnt add channels without a valid card inside. The valid card was from my HD box downstairs, and the bedroom box is my old non HD box. However, although the card was valid it displayed the message you mentioned, but i never tried pressing backup to check if i could get sky 1, discovery etc. I will have to try that. One other question i have is why scy cards are going for twenty odd quid on ebay. Im assuming these are old cards, not working etc, so i cant see why anyone would need such a card if all the freesat channels can be added via the add channels function. Why buy an old sky card?
  16. Hmmmmm, just upgraded to Sky HD. I got the engineer to leave up the old sky dish so i could reroute it into the bedroom for Freesat. The old sky box is now plumbed in the bedroom and works without a sky card to recieve freesat. It didnt have channel 5 and FIVER (not sure why but apparently its like that with all sky boxes with no card) but i knew how to add them via the add channels section. I needed to take the sky card from downstairs, upstairs so i could actually add the channel 5 and FIVER channels and that worked fine, but for some reason my normal sky channels wont work on the upstairs box when i put my downstairssky card in it. :search:WHY?
  17. Car looks awesome. What side skirts are those? Wheels look very similar to mine but with a bigger dish at back and smaller at front. I think the larger dish on my fronts does restrict the brake size that i can have though, as it doesnt look like UK ones will fit under my wheels
  18. Just been in loft and there is condensation all over the inner side of the felt in the loft. Its dripping all over the stuff stored in the loft and loft boards too. Im sure this is due to the temperature differential between inside the loft and outside. Is this correct? will more insulation help? is it a ventilation issue? I have vented soffits and about 6inches of insulation and loft boards if that helps.
  19. I didnt think you could have a larger diameter wheel on the front than on the rear? Maybe its rolling radius though and not alloy size, in which case (and i havent worked it out), you may be OK if the wider wheels at the rear and the % difference from the aspect ratio contribute to a larger rolling radius.
  20. it might do a few more mpg? On a serious note i havent got a clue. I suppose the safest thing is to drain the tank
  21. you need one of those whistle things on your key fob in future. they go missing, you whistle and they beep back at you.
  22. wow that car is nice, almost as nice as your avatar:d
