  1. OK, this rattles been going on for about 12 months now and its really starting to piss me off (and its got a bit worse). This is what i have tried so far. 1) Replaced upper rear suspension arm 2) Had exhaust checked for knocking and had new rubber mounts fitted just in case. 3) Had the loose rear veilside spat fixed 4) Replaced the boot rubbers 5) Removed everything from the boot 6) Had a local (non specialist) garage check for obvious problems to no avail. Suffice to say the rattle is still there. It really does sound like a suspension area rattle but i havent got a clue now. Any ideas ?
  2. Have a loom at this post and in particular the link low down where Harvard had the same nightmare i had. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=127275 Basically you need 2 x 9005 (HB3s), but you will need to modify one of them to fit
  3. that has to be the worst product ive ever seen/heard !!
  4. Saw 2 x Black supes today on the way back from booking mine in at the garage. 1st one was actually at the garage. Its a car ive seen before at reading jap meet (Richard ?). Back supe, de-spoilered, meshed grill, yellow UK spec brakes. 2nd black supe i saw on the way out. Black j spec bonnet with spoiler.
  5. Well done mate, christ knows how your going to get everything back in. If it was me, i would end up with a massive pile of parts wondering where the heck there all meant to go.
  6. Count me in, razza i could give u a lift if you havent got your engine back in by then.
  7. Silver supe, modded with possibly a veilside front ? and unknown non standard wing
  8. Is there such a thing as a reliable 750-800BHP car ?
  9. Saw you whilst i was in my works pick up truck. At first i thought someone had nicked my motor as there arnt many silver supes that i see around in Reading. Then i noticed the M Plate and knew it wasnt mine.
  10. I hate buses, there full of scuffers. Is it anywonder why no one wants to go on one, when you end up sitting next to some dribbling fool, or stinky sod whos never bathed !! Add to that they are always late, and loads slower than a 1.1 fiesta.
  11. Thanks for all the advice. To be honest i do drive like a bit of a dick most of the time with a heavy right foot so i am likley to get at tehbottom end of the MPG range, but i was surprised at 14.5MPG. How much are O2 sensors and wheres the best place to get them ?
  12. ouch, that would cost me £10 to nip tp the shop. However, on the plus side, it would be a more exiting ride
  13. Anyone got any of these ? Mattysupra offered me his (very nice fella) but unfortunatley they have been lost.

    14.5mpg

Just worked out the mpg of my N/A supe. Could`nt believe it it was only 14.5mpg Im used to getting between 23mpg (best i ever got on a long m-way trip) and 19mpg which is what i usually get, but 14.5!!! Can anyone beat 14.5mpg for an N/A ?
  15. Blue Supe, ox road by pizza hut about 3pm, gave you a wave and you waved back.
  16. i would love to be able to do that myself. Much respect. That engine came up well clean.
  17. Thanks for the offer, im just bidding for one on e-bay so if i dont get it i will give u a call. I havent tried getting the dash of just yet. Whats the process for doing this ?
  18. Yes, i was refering to the mirror adjustment, not the folding aspect (which has never worked either) On the plus side, i didnt even know it had heated mirrors till they started steaming the other morning
  19. Im not sure that the people in the other cars you were racing trying when you got to 3rd gear. I also have an N/A and its about as quick as all of those but theres not much in it. What you have to remember is that by the time you get to third gear you are at almost 70mph if you`ve revved it to the limit in 2nd. Depending on the road you are driving on, this is starting to get into licence losing territory and a lot of people shut off at that speed. I think that those people started to shut off as they got above 70 and towards 100, when your licence is sure to be lost (if caught) On paper they are all very similar (including the N/A) especially when power to weight etc is taken into account
  20. Anyone tried one of these ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Electric-Supercharger-Turbo-TOYOTA-MR2-SUPRA_W0QQitemZ220166713944QQihZ012QQcategoryZ36680QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Do they work on an N/A
  21. Buy a tt and modify. You can get big power from a turboed N/A but it will cost more and may be less reliable.
  22. Never mind all of that, im pretty sure that it takes a shit load of energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. Think how much energy it takes to boil water. Thats just converting it from liquid to vapour. Physically breaking the hydrogen oxygen bond requires loads more energy (i think) I would get out my chemistry degree books and work it out, but i cant be arsed (and probably wouldent be able to work it out anyway after all this time out of uni). The extra weight in batteries, drain from a massive alternator and weight in water would likley override all the benefits (thats why Ford, Vauxhall etc havent done it already)
