I do sympathise, after all i am in the same situation as you. I love may car, i take great care of it. My local ASDA also has a very small car park thats always full etc. Thats why i dont use ASDA !!, i go to a different supermarket where i can pretty much guaruntee that i can go to the back and park over 2 spaces and there will still be plenty of spaces spare. 2 wrongs dont make a right

20 Grooved Brake Discs for Punto GT or Alpha 155/145

Anyone want these ? -
You dont have to be a non-parent for kids to annoy you. Try bedtime with 3 kids, you need the patience of a saint.

This is the same with any law, a line has to be drawn somewhere. Whats a drink a 17 rather than 18Yrs Whats sex at 15 rather than 16yrs Whats driving at 15 rather than 16yrs etc. I suppose 6 is the age they chose for a child to be able to suitably walk and manage themselves well enough not to require a parents space close to the store. Im guessing thats the answer but dont have the definative one,.
-
As before, stop picking fault/issues. Thats life, if all the spaces are full you have to use other ones obviously, and as a parent i can confirm its not ideal. Smaller spaces (and 3 kids, 2 of them too young to walk) mean that you have to leave one of them in the trolley whilst you put the other in the car. Some trolleys nowadays dont even have brakes on them so you are expected to leave your child to chance in the roadway area without a brake (its a nightmare) Stop picking, if they are full parents use other spaces but it causes problems !!

Yep, i agree, things are so different now. The amount of people and also cars is so much more than before. Things change its as simple as that. Im (only) 32, and i remember when most of the shopping was done in local shops and many people didnt even have cars (i am from oop north, so maybe thats why). The butcher and greengrocers had their own van and used to drive around the streets, so hardly anyone traveled like we all do now. Finally (according to ASDA, a child has to be under 6 for the space to be able to be used). Just because you are your mums child doesnt make it right. Im hard pushed to name a greengrocers round here now.

Get a life. You just seem to be picking fault/issues for the sake of it. Obviously the examples you specify sometimes occur, but there is still a need for parents spaces (not single parent only spaces). Its as simple as this 1) Only disabled people should park in disabled spaces 2) Only parents with kids with them at the time should park in parents spaces (and the police if they are about to arrest a thieving little oiik.) 3) If you have a fancy car, like we all have on this forum, and you dont want it bashed, then either bring a kid shopping with you and park it in the parents spaces OR park at the back of the car park over 2 spaces (as long as there are loads of spaces available and you arnt going to be a long time, i dont see a problem with this) Rant over, im off to bath the kids now.

Sorry, my last post didnt explain myself well enough (too many kids running round me). If i see people with no kids pulling in, i will challenge them. If they are already there, i wont for the reasons you mentioned

Here Here. Park at the end of the car park and walk. Park over 2 spaces if you have to (i do this but only at the back of the car park and only if its very empty. If it so much as seems like its filling up i go home. Its my inconvienience for being so picky about my car. Yes peop,e should be more carfull of banging into you but their not. They are lazy, and couldnt care less, so park at the back. I also, have 3 kids (but am not disabled), and when i do go shopping in the other car (zafira) with the kids there is nothing more anoying that someone with no kids in the kids bay. I get out of the car and make them move.

OK, thanks for this. Bearing in mind my first post quoting poor grip/handling (forgot to mention i have michelin Pilor Sports all round) and i want to go and get my car set up as best as i can without spending a fortune. What settings do you recommend i take to the local garage to ask them to set it up ?

A good friend of mine put an engine in a shopping trolley (cut a bike in half and welded the trolley inbetween), drove it to the pub to show his mates for a laugh and got pulled by the cops just outside the pub car park. That was a laugh

Do you have a windscreen washer pump, and a drivers side upper rear suspension arm (in good condition)

Specialised paintwork in calcot/reading just off Junc 12 are very good. They spray all the porsches from the main porsche dealer around the corner and they are the lotus approved bodyshop so get all the smashed lotuses from the midlands. The cars they work on say it all (aston martins, lambos etc etc). They are far from cheap, but they are very very good.
-
Ok if u get one, you will have to take me out in it, your not that far from me (reading)

im afraid one bet me in my N/A supra. He caught me a bit off gaurd off the line (wasnt expecting it), i tried to keep up but he was off.

Well that doesnt sound like im going to have much luck, but i just cant believe that this happens so often (according to the manager i spoke to, it happens very very frequently, and the garage who did my service confirmed this and said they just pass on the costs as its not their fault the parts were incorrect). By the sounds of it, car parts suppliers are costing motorists millions each year in labor costs because their databases are incorrect. Basically their mistake becomes the motorists cost, and the more i think about it the more i think it needs sorting out. I will bet a thousand quid that if i go into the same shop in 6 months time with the same information, they will give me the same incorrect parts (i might try this just to make a point) Im going to write off to head office anyway and if that fails im writing to watchdog as i think this is a bigger issue than anyone knows about. OK rant over More comments welcome. Do i need to get off my high horse ? or can i stay on it until i get a refund ? Rant over

Ok, heres the story. I went to my local car parts company to get some new brake pads. Gave them all of the car details as requested, they typed it into the computer and out popped the required part No`s which the duely supplied. Next i book my car in at the garage for MOT and service etc (including fitting of the brake pads). I collect the car only to be told that the pads dont fit, and an alternative pair (sent by the same car parts company i used) also dont fit. So thats 2 sets of pads from teh same company that dont fit. I am obviously charged labour by the garage for teh work that they did trying to fit the pads. The bill isnt specifically itemised, but i estimate about £15 to £20 for the labour. So by this point im not happy as ive bought pads in good faith after being told they will fit, they dont fit and i am lumbered with fitting costs anyway. This must happen all the time and garages jkust pass on costs, but because i bought my own pads its easier to see the issue that it causes to the customer in terms of an increased labour bill. I went back to the parts shop and obtained a refund for the pads and asked for the labour charge to be paid also (£15). They wouldent, and get this. next he says that if they did this for every part that they supplied that was incorrect they wopuld go bust. basically it happens all the time. Im now wrinting to head office. Do you think i have a case ? i know its only £15 but its the principle. !!

Looks OK to me, good idea to get rid of the 3 spokes though. If you ever so much as scratch the rear though it will cost a fortune as those rear spats look frenched/blended into the rear bumper and wing. My veilside spats were exactly the same (frenched in) and when someone just knocked one spat and cracked it away from the bumper cracking the paint with it, it cost £1500 as both spats, both wings and doors and roof area needed spraying - all because it was frenched in. Frenching looks good, but the reason manufacturers dont do it is because most of the car needs spraying if its damaged. Luckily for me i didnt pay as it wasnt my fault, but ive now had them put on as they should be which is a seperate pieces. Anyway, looks good. How much did you pay for it if you dont mind me asking ? Would be good to see what a modded N/A goes for at the moment
