  1. Ordered a new gates belt and also a spare tensioner arm just to be sure! Any input on the 2 oem washers do I need to use the rear one on the whifbitz pulley or fit without?
  2. I'm having a head scratching moment, basically I bought a nearly new whifbitz aux tensioner pulley off a tt6 to fix what I believed to be a failed bearing noise? (The second vid I didn't realise I was recording but you can clearly hear the noise go when I spray wd40 onto the tensioner unit) http://youtu.be/iG3gtWhKiZw http://youtu.be/b7M6eoT4Vig But after replacing it although it got quieter the screeching as well as the clicking is still there, it gets louder the higher the rpm but does almost go once warm . Could it be the tensioner arm at fault? Iv searched but can't find any examples of it failing? Also what's throwing me is weather I should be using the 2 large washers with the whifbitz pulley..?
  3. Looking forward to see what plans you have for the Inlet manifold, I run the TT manifold but would like to change it at some point, IMO it sits alittle too high. Subscribed
  4. Thanks, I spent that much on the conversion
  5. Unfortunately mine has a plastic wheel and can only be replaced with one of whifbitz billet pulleys, I have a wanted thread going for a metal tensioner so thanks for the part number. I'm just not 100% on fitment weather they are all the same? Cheers jay il send you a txt soon

  7. I see a lot of for sale or wanted threads but couldn't find anything to confirm if thay are all the same NA - TT or manual - auto's? Has anyone's tensioner wheel made a break for it? Mine has started to make some very bad noises and I'm worried about driving it?
  8. Can't believe I'm writing this but I'm being pressured into buying a family car.. Boooring!!! so I'm looking for some guidance on value since its na-t I can't compare it to the usual cars in the classified. Year: 1995 M Facelift: pre-facelift Mileage: 77k Service history: unfortunately I have no service book, but do have a huge folder of receipts, it's regular serviced and the cam belt, water pump and new thermostat has just been done on Friday by my brother inlaws garage, everything else I have done myself including the turbo conversion. I bought the car in 2007 and I'm the 2nd uk owner, I have the certificate of registration dated 04/07/2005 and every mot certificate to back up the mileage and every tax reminder to show its been my daily car since ownership. 9. Nice Sunday read! Good luck with the build dude.
  10. Swapped out all the blue vac hoses for white, I got my car back on Friday after having the water pump done, far too wet and cold to do it myself tomorrow will be investigate an awful noise coming from what I think Is the aux belt tensioner?
  11. Hopefully mine does too, I Don't suppose you remember what you paid?
  12. So my usual grease monkey (brother inlaw) was too busy to fit me in so his mate is doing the work, right off the bat he orders the wrong pump now he's ordered a blueprint part which is fine but is more $$$ and I'm unsure if the rear housing is included now I know from a previous thread rich.221 has used this part before so I'm just wondering what you paid?? Also apparently he's been moaning that the rear housing might be bonded on but I'm thinking he's maybe left bolts in. Anyone have a diagram I can't find one. I'd tell him to leave it but I really want the core plug changing for peace of mind!
  13. Looking good mate! Now get it dyno'd
  14. if only it was that simple! I'm not 100% but I think buster has made it work but with alot of fabrication??
  15. Thanks chris but I really do want a new one! Cheers for confirming there totally different, when I speak to tcb I will make sure Im getting the right one! This makes you think they are the same!
  16. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?233817-Please-help!-Water-leak-from-Thermostat Going off this thread NA has a 20mm and TT 25mm core plug.
  17. just what I wanted to hear, makes things simpler! Will order from tcb on Monday. Now to find out where this core plug is hiding?
  18. Thanks Iv just been on but like you said there only listed for 2jzgte and to me looks like it's without the rear housing? I'm not sure if the pumps are the same and it's the housing that is different?
  19. Cheers dazzi was that inc the rear housing?
  20. On tcb website they list the same part number for 2jzgte and 2jzge so am I right in thinking it's just the rear housing that differs. Anyone have anymore links to where I can get one complete inc rear housing.
  21. I'm hoping my brother inlaws garage can source me one, I don't really want to pay Toyota prices if I can help it, seen that tbc parts do one for £67 so il be enquiring about this on Monday. Failing that I woulnt mind a blueprint one if I can find one.
  22. So it's the pump that's failed, wonderful I see a lot of people selling used pumps are these upto the job, noticed josh has a 30k used one for sale? I'm going to need one sharpish and Toyota take for ever!!
  23. Supra had to be rescued by my mates bmw on Friday night he will never let me forget it!! Iv had a look today and it's coming out of the little bleed pipe on the water pump, does this mean it's nackared or is something else the cause? Iv read there's a core plug near by could this be at fault?? squeezing the lower rad hose makes it trickle out of the pipe.
