  1. Hi Pete Thanks and glad you enjoyed reading my thread and the progress of my Supra so far. Yes I am still enjoying the car very much and even more since doing the 6 speed swap and putting the 2JZ-GTE single turbo engine in, at some point I would like to upgrade my manifold, turbo, fuel rail and injectors but since I had the turbo rebuilt it’s been running so well I’ve just stuck with it for now. My rear j-spec brake keeps seizing on so I have decided to replace both rears with brand new uk spec brakes which are ordered and on there way.
  2. Looking good as always Luc With the HKS Hypermax 4 coilovers you are going for was that a personal choice or was it recommended by Lee? Only ask as I would like to change mine as they have seen better days and I’m unsure what to go for. Also keep reading your posts on the VVTI head swap and really want to do mine, just wish I had the funds!
  3. Thanks Kev Glad what I have done has helped you out and got you the results your after.
  4. Anyone have a Supra shell they are breaking that has these parts on still in excellent condition? It’s the part right behind the headlight and below the air box on the drivers side and below the battery on the passengers side. I need the right hand side Piece pictured below Part number 53715F and left hand side Piece as well. https://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=236720&stc=1&d=1593544572
  5. Must stop leaving it a year plus to keep updating my thread! One of the last jobs I did on my Supra was recondition my active spoiler blade. I have been asked how it’s doing after all this time, well it’s been a year & 2 months and I can honestly say it still looks like it did the day I first sprayed it up with Matte Black Plastic Resurfacer which I’m very happy about Tried to get a few pictures to show it’s current condition a few weekends ago. https://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=236716&stc=1&d=1593543043 https://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=236717&stc=1&d=1593543134 And just a random picture of the hole car https://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=236718&stc=1&d=1593543314
  6. Seen this done in the states when engines get swapped in older desirable cars, the owner keeps the original engine & gearbox etc for when and if they ever sell it on. Mines an N/A Auto from factory converted to a 6 speed single 2JZ-GTE and all work was done by a very well know company, I have also kept everything like I mentioned above so don’t know if that would make any difference if I ever sold it on?
  7. Thanks for the info Evin that’s a great help Thought I had seen a post on here and Baldy was the go to guy for this sort of thing, didn’t he pack up or retire from doing bodywork? There is a place local to me that should be able to make up some tins for me.
  8. I’m sure I see a post on here a few years ago where this was being talked about, people thought the engine bay colour was the same as the body work but it wasn’t and I’m pretty sure there were paint codes posted up so you could get the correct colour mixed up in a can. I have been searching for ages and can’t find the post anymore! Could anyone help me out please? My supra is Black 202 and would like to get some paint brought or mixed up to match the engine bay 100%
  9. Very nice work final result is looking spot on.
  10. That looks great, do you mind if I ask where you got it from?
  11. Very nice I like those I am always worried about pulling gauges apart to fit different faces but I could see me wanting to fit these.
  12. Same here and I haven’t had any issues on my car without it in 5 or so years.
  13. Can’t quite remember what grades of wet and dry paper I used now but pretty sure I used 600 then 800 then finished with 1200 (my blade was in a bad state and had to repair a small split) I only give it one coat of the cleaner then 3 costs of the resurfacer. 1 can of each will be plenty if just doing the spoiler blade.
  14. I’m fairly confident it will but yeah hope it lasts quite a long time. Thanks that will be great, look forward to seeing your thread about the plating process when you start it.
  15. That active spoiler setup is looking awesome now it’s been fully refurbished, great job. It’s been a year since i sprayed my active spoiler blade with the Eastwoods plastic resurfacer and I can honestly say it still looks like it did the day i first did it, hasn’t faded at all, no chips. I did use the Pre painting prep cleaner as it was recommended on the video clip I watched about using this stuff, you are correct I did sand my spoiler blade as well like you did with different grades of fine wet & dry emery paper. I found this stuff different to paint also and I’m tempted to do other parts like your on about as the blade came out so well. I must invest in a electroplating kit so I can start refurbish parts like that, been looking at getting a kit like this for quite some while now but just kept putting it off! Think my minds made up now after seeing what you’ve done with it.
  16. Hi James Great write up on the work you have done on your supra so far and look forward to reading more. The black supra looked like a good base to start with and you have certainly been enjoying it well You have also worked on my supra quite a bit and I see it in the background of the first picture you posted
  17. Thank you for doing that and printing the template out and checking the clearance on the new spare wheel you brought. Good to know it will fit with a 10mm spacer so will have to get one ordered Do you also have to hand the Supra hub specs you sent to them?
  18. Just incase it’s needed there was also this link with info on. https://apracing.com/cdn/drawings/p12079.pdf
  19. Thanks that would great if you can, I found this template online so hope the link works and what I’ve sent is ok. https://apracing.com/cdn/drawings/p16079.pdf
  20. Great post :thumbs:got same problem and this has been bugging me for ages! I am in need of a new space saver as well because the Oem one won’t fit over my AP racing front calipers no more! Not even close! Like you I have never fancied using that foam in a can stuff because my wheels have an unusual valve that I have not seen on many other wheels I’ve looked at, Wonder if this wheel you have found will be any good for me and my set up?
  21. Hi Zak and to the club Will have to meet up and do a few more shows / meets this year.
  22. Awesome result Luc and nice to see the advantages of a VVTI
