  1. I went from Auto to 6 speed with a conversion, have to say it changes the way the car drives, full control, feels more responsive, however I do miss the Auto in traffic and I love the way my NA Auto is so easy to drive when the roads are busy
  2. http://cgi.benl.ebay.be/Toyota-Supra-Turbo-big-BHP-wide-body-show-car_W0QQitemZ330240821934QQihZ014QQcategoryZ18290QQcmdZViewItem Its been discussed a few times on this forum, it was at Santa Pod last year, very impressive looking car with a great bodyshop looking after the kit and respray I do remember it having some 'questionable' things in the spec list, and I thought it was on 550cc injectors, but I may be wrong Who is fixing it for you ?? I am sure now we know which car it is you can get the full spec list, it has been in several magazines
  3. Hi mate and welcome to the club, I have a few questions which may help you get the best out of the advice here Where did you buy the car from and do you have a full spec list, if so can you post it up with a pic of the engine bay The T88 is a very laggy turbo ( I had one on my R32 GTR) it produces a lot of power but at very high revs, it takes an age to spool, is your engine stock ? I take it you brought the car with the parts missing or broken already ??, or did this happen while driving Who is fixing the car now, do they know what they are doing with single Supras
  4. Can't wait indeed, it will be coming to Japshow this Sunday all being well with the MOT tomorrow Edit Wont be ready for the Pod now, have to come in the NA : (
  5. I am looking forward to testing my line lock kit at the pod soon, I would have thought your stock clutch will be tested to its limit by drag launches and line lock tyre warm ups however, hope it holds out
  6. I would give Jezz a try, he must have plenty at his place
  7. I have modded both the RB26 and the Supra, the Supra engine can take a lot more power with stock internals so factor an engine build for the RB26 if you go down the Skyline route with big power I managed 735 BHP at 1.8 bar on a T04Z single with a JUN stroker kit to 2.7 with the RB26, this build was VERY expensive I am fitting a T67 to the Supra now and would expect 600 BHP from 1.4 bar, the Supra has the advantage of CC's and is cheaper to mod (slightly!) I would say the Skyline is a better car for putting the power down, the Supra is nicer to look at, and the build quality is far greater on the Supra I drive Supras now so that tells you something Both great cars
  8. Its not your boot rubbers is it, they have a very annoying knocking sound when perished
  9. I will start at £40, my rear shock on the NA is leaking quite a lot at the moment
  10. I feel for you, mine was just finished and was due to run today, fluids going in and we have just found out the heater matrix is leaking, so that has ruined my day starting to get on my nerves this bloody car now, and as for the cost well thats another issue !

  13. Spoke with Mark today, he has finished !! :D:eyebrows: Engine will be fired up Monday morning, then its run for a couple of hours on and off to get some heat cycles through it then its off for an MOT and I get the keys Wednesday, cant wait See you all on Sunday
  14. I will come along, the Supra is ready Monday
  15. All engines are below 30000 miles !! thats quite a claim, also they open up every engine, why would you do that, best left alone IMO
  16. 1. supraturbochris 2. Ped87 3. tooquicktostop (Dean) 4. 5. 6.
  17. Cant say I have noticed, took the usual 2 hours to travel from Purfleet to Watford at 6.30 am this morning to see the car at Phoenix, 42 miles:(
  18. I search long and hard to find the bargains and at the same time chuck tons of cash at the single paperweight, what a twit
  19. The black one for me, both look a little on the dear side however
  20. I have pictures of all my plugs and cylinders from the engine failure, this was the plug from #2, they were brand new before the mapping session http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18104510156.jpg The result is well documented ! http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/6/18013301624.jpg I was told at the time I should have mapped on copper, dont think it would have saved the engine but it does raise an interesting talking point as mine is due to be mapped again in a couple of weeks
  21. Scottish Widows fixed rate deal has just got from free valuation and arrangement to £2500 arrangement and £330 valuation!!, they told me they could add it to the mortgage, so you would end up paying well over £5000 over 20 years just to set it up, I walked away needless to say
  22. I know you are right but £900 'arrangement fee' just stinks IMO, dont they take enough over the 20 odd years I will be paying them back I agree Jamie, renting seems to be a very sensible option right now, and I have always disliked rent as wasted money
  23. Will be a good year to buy thats for sure, IF you can get a mortgate you can make a huge saving on the market value compared to last year...trouble is you may also find yourself in negative equity if the fall continues
  24. I have come to the end of my 3 year fixed mortgage and it is proving a nightmare to obtain a deal right now, just a warning to anyone else approaching the end of a fixed term, I have a great advisor but each time we apply for the 'best deal' the product gets pulled by the company, it seems today after losing my 3rd deal that all free valuations and arrangement fees are disappearing as well.... I have just been told Abbey (who pulled out 3 weeks ago from a good deal with myself) have now offered me the same low rate as before but with a £900 fee, had to take it because my options were running out, my advisor tells me the media hype is making things worse and people are getting in a panic to secure the best deals now before the interest rates go up again Just what I needed with the bill for the single rebuild due next week ! Rant over !!
