  1. Get a brand new block from Toyota (Steve Manley), they are around £1850, best possible starting place for an engine build IMO
  2. Well I have spent the last 4 evening driving round the M25 or up and down the A13 from southend to Barking to get the engine run in and back to Mark at Pheonix for the final checks, it has taken a couple of hundred pounds in fuel and a lot of boring 3000RPM driving but its done Only had one small issue in this time which was the need to tighten the oil feed pipe to the turbo, apart from that it has not missed a beat, a pleasure to drive, it feels like it revs so much quicker with the built engine over stock It will come back to me Monday then its off to RyanG for mapping, I wonder how much power this will make
  3. I would second this for a power run, not so sure about mapping as I have not used them for this, they ran plenty of auto's on the Supra day and even ran my Camaro Auto which is a very simple box with no fancy manual mode with no problems, they were very good
  4. I have had to pull out, my car will be back in for 3 days spanner checks next week after run in and then further parts install (NOS, WI, AC pump etc) then I have 2 mapping sessions to do, TOTB would be just too close to call, sorry
  5. I guess you mean Petrol and 2 stroke mix Nizam
  6. Jonty showed me a DVD of him landing the helicopter in a friends back garden, very impressive even though it blew all the childrens slides and swings away He does have an impressive collection of cars, he is a very successful businessman so good luck to him
  7. I need to do close to 1000, it is running a RPS Street Max clutch
  8. Very happy with it so far, going for a drive around the M25 tonight to add some more run in miles, never done that before, I think its about 150 miles ?
  9. Price is about right, you may have to take a little less, things have gone very quite with Supra sales this year and may take a few weeks but it will go, I have sold a couple this year at a good price, and your's is a good looking stockish car
  10. My TT6 was on stock 16's and I was amazed by the ride quality, it was one of the main reasons why I changed from 19's the a light 18" on my Single car, well its a step closer to a 16" without leaving the heard of sheep altogether
  11. When a single is working they are amazing to drive and for the money, NOTHING matches it for power, speed and noise, however it is a very expensive journey and I cant say this enough, you will always have something to do and you will always spend more that you had planned to Going single several times with different cars has aged me several years and blown any savings I may have had, my top tip would be to choose a garage that has been there and done it several times and one that will give you a car that is finished when you get the keys back and not one that just needs this and that doing to make good, which has happened all to often to members here including me in the past Collect all the parts you need first and think about more than just the turbo kit, you need to consider the fuelling system from pumps, lines and injectors, water pump, oil pump, cooling, intercooler, cams, valve seals, cam belt, transmission, brakes, suspension and any other old moving part that will have to face the strain of the new found power Most of all good luck
  12. Wheels getting a mixed reaction but I wanted a stealthy look, they are also much better to drive with that the 19"'s and are a very light wheel, I have fitted a taller rear tyre as well this time, the low profile tyres give such a harsh ride IMO
  13. I have had a couple of things from Keron, should be ok, is £230 second hand for a Greddy cooler ?
  14. Contact NIC, Gaz at Envy, Whifbitz etc, you will be very lucky to find a second hand intercooler for sale, and you dont really want to fit second hand anyway do you??
  15. I had the standard detail here http://fullboostdetail.moonfruit.com/#/services/4527214083 I will get some better shots as soon as I can, spending all my time running in at the moment
  16. Well after almost 12 months since the engine failure its back, it has been a very long and expensive journey but it is getting there now, had the car detailed by Tom off this forum at his new facility in Southend and he has transformed the dull paint, got a few snaps here before it goes back for final check Saturday then mapping with RyanG Spec is in the Garage and most of it is brand new Will have the water injection and NOS plumbed in this weekend, also the stripped out boot trimmed in Alcantera http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18218015786.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18218015662.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18218015698.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18218015683.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18218015624.jpg http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18218015520.jpg
  17. I know Mark checked all the feeds more than once, it is perhaps just a case of it working loose during run in ? I will speak with him tomorrow
  18. Very pleased Tom, many thanks Got stuck in bloody traffic again though
  19. As most of you know I am running in the new set up right now, I am 300 miles in now, I got stuck in very bad traffic tonight on the way back from Southend and smelt a bit of oil burning, got home to check and saw this weap, now I checked the pipe and it was quite easy to turn by hand, I have tightened this up with a spanner and hope this will be the end, it goes back for a full check over on saturday to Mark, question is have I done enough or do I need to do something more? Pipe is on top of turbo http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18215472415.jpg Pipe with 'dampness' of oil, this was smoking of course causing the smell http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/18215472329.jpg
  20. Have you have insurance quotes on a 911/Ferrari/TVR at 21 years of age etc or are M+D paying for that to ?
  21. Why dont you save up and assist your parents with the purchase of the house, you may be able to get a better place, nice problem though
  22. Mine is spending 2 days with Tom from this forum, he has a unit in Southend, will get some pics up later when I pick it up tonight
  23. No, but you really dont want to open that can of worms, the stock bottom end of the engine will be ok with this turbo as long as the supporting mods are all in place
  24. May sound a bit harsh but when I look at the tax that comes out of my salary every month that goes in part to pay to put a roof over the 'homeless' that you talk about in your block, along with the ever increasing price on everything and the fact that you would no doubt pass the same said neighbour on your way to work in the morning while he sits at home and watches Jeremy Kyle I would have declined the £10 also Good grief I must have got out of the wrong side this morning
