  1. I think they are AMG brakes, the Mclaren Merc brakes are carbon if I remember rightly
  2. The mods have been very forgiving with this guy but he has to go soon IMO, he brings nothing to the forum and is not taking any of the advice to heart about toning it down, I have only seen for sale ads and clumsy remarks in others for sale threads
  3. Happy birthday mate, have a good one
  4. I brought one of these from Gaz last year, it has excellent feel and can take the power, well worth considering
  5. Did you run on the strip yesterday I can't remember !! Have you been practicing with the line lock you fitted, I think I remember you talking about launch practice for the pod, if the answer is yes then you could have a clutch problem as I do remember you having a stock clutch and it wont last long doing drag runs and burn outs, I doubt it is the box itself
  6. Makes me cringe to thing of a Supra pulling a Skyline on a trailer, I am sure it can be done though I would be inclined to get a cheap towing car just for the job, an old Volvo estate for something, then you can fill the car with spare wheels etc, as I trust you are towing the Liner to race meets etc??
  7. When did the AA stop covering cars over 10 years old ???, they have picked me up a couple of times and mine are 93 and 95 cars
  8. Great day out, really enjoyed the company, was the best stand by far, a real credit to the club Just come out of a meeting at work where most were asking if I was ok due the the third degree burns on my face... and there was me moaning at 5.30 am at Lakeside about the weather
  9. very sad news, after such a great day with the club to come back to this news, terrible, just terrible, my thoughts are with his family
  10. Mr Toyota They are talking about buying from a main dealer OEM parts
  11. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/574032.htm And plenty of change from your 4K
  12. Sounds like another great build, look forward to the updates, good luck
  13. I remember having a long talk with Jonty about Hyper, he was really upset with them and posted on here about it, he got very little support at the time for his negativity on this company, one of the threads is below here, hope you get it sorted Matt http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=85917&highlight=jonty+hyper
  14. Ryan I really appreciate your help so far, I know Mark was having some issues with a cable and he does not like mapping anything as you know, I am not going to get over to pick it up unfortunatly due to work commitments all day today and Saturday
  15. Cheers guys, I will get there in the end
  16. Sorry to hear this, I understand your frustration !! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=150016&page=3 it seems never ending sometimes
  17. Did not get the base map done as planned as the lap top did not have the right cable or something, the car needs the fans mapping in also as well as an engine map tweak The car then needs an MOT and tax and................. oh yes the heater matrix has popped so we have had to bypass that, all in all I have run out of time to get this done as I am working until Sat night bloody thing will be up for sale if its not careful
  18. Will be coming in the NA Sunday now as the car will not be ready
  19. Pics not needed mate, shall I paypal
  20. Nice spec, not far from mine glad to see you are up and running again
  21. Now thats a proper weekend toy, love it
  22. Hi again mate Like I said in my first post you need to slow down a bit and take stock of what you have, there is no right and wrong spec as such but many different things you can do to get your car running again, you will require deep pockets if you start changing too many things right now, can I ask again who is working on the car for you, do they understand single Supras, if not the first thing I would do is get it to a specialist, we can suggest several in London/Essex etc I am in Purfleet in Essex if you want to come over for a chat and discuss a few options, I am not mechanic but have owned a few singles in my time, I would be more than happy to talk your option through, there are several guys on here who would make some very wise choices with regards to where you should go with the spec etc This should come out of MKIV Tech I would have thought and go to Chat ?
  23. More control than the Auto but not any quicker, in fact at the Pod last year the Autos seems quicker as the change is faster, you can not have big power and a stock auto box for long though, mine started slipping hence the change to the 6 speed which has no issues with the power
