I need to replace some or all of the turbo gaskets. they all seem to be metal construction. Does anybody have a list of the required gasket part numbers. Its for a J-spec pair of stock turbos. I can then give toyota a call to order with the right numbers in hand. Cheers Carl

I took lots of pictures at the fairford tattoo and also failed with photos. I like to think in quite handy at portrait and landscape but failed big time with moving aircraft. I even borrowed a mates sigma 120-400 lens and it was near impossible getting focus against the overcast grey sky. To add insult , the Lancaster never flew and parked up with it's back to me.

Can you replace just the gate bit? I assume you mean the flap itself? I was speaking to CR Turbos on this earlier and as you said, they reckon 95% of Supra's will have the same crack. Its a common fault from the continual heating up & cooling down. Its always on the Primary No 1 turbo and nearly always in the same position. He reckons more often than not it only goes 1-2mm dp so should not cause a problem. If welded up he reckons the same thing would most likely occur within 5000 miles.

I have a crack in my turbo-wastegate housing. Can these be repaired and what are the implications, eg, does it all need re-balancing once turbines are removed from body etc. also what problems if I just install with crack? Carl

apparently the 2.5 engines are even worse. Its the pistons that seem to be the biggest problem. Im sure a forged build would see some reliability although I always feel that over 400bhp on a 4 cylinder is on borrowed time.

I believe they did about exactly when I popped of to shoot some static aircraft without my 400 zoom lens so j did not get one pic of them. They are all at farmborough next week .

Went to fairford air tattoo today and it was a great show. I only had one gripe, myself and probably 1000 other people qued in line waiting to enter at 7.30. Soon as the line was moving people were jumping the line at the front. Is it just me that finds this completely unacceptable?

I watched this and was a little dissapointed. Loved the first one with Arny but this one just seemed a bit slow to me. I thought the lead guy was a bit weak and what was the point of Laurence Fishburn. Just when I thought a strong leader was brought into the film he was killed off almost straight away. Just didnt work for me..

I watched it and it reminded me of the spark i once had years ago for cars. Over the last 6 years I think I have had too many other priorities but this definately got me thinking again..

This is a long shot but I need to remove the bottom pulley to remove the cambelt etc. does anyone living near Gloucestershire happen to have a puller that will remove it. cheers Carl

How many have installed the new OS on there Iphone, now that it is available. What do you think? I was contemplating buying the new Iphone 4G but after trying the new software Im not sure its really worth it..

In his defence my dad knew someone once who had an oil light come on after two years of ownership. The guy asked what it was as he had no idea. My dad told him it meant the engine needed oil topping up and proceeded to lift the bonnet. The guy was shocked to find out that there was this hinged panel called a bonnet on his car. He honestly had no idea, so some people really do just jump in with little or no idea of how or what they drive. either way , you hopefully have a nice Supra even if it isn't exac tly what you thought you had.

No offence but I can get more than that on the O2 recycle scheme and that gives you rock bottom price.
