  1. i would never buy from them - and had no intention to in the first place. As said, it was for my research - i got to see 3 supra's, and get to sit in and start em up all progress
  2. I just paid 94.9p for Super at Sainsburys. Much better, but it won't last....
  3. ah well, just glad everyone else agrees Might go to Richardson autos next.... see how they treat me
  4. wow - what a huge turnout! Looks like it was an awesome meet Gutted i couldnt turn up though Damn SEAT's playing up again grrrr.

    Is it rude..

Its not rude, but its generally not going to help your mission for information IMO. I was a salesman for 2yrs+, and I know from other salespeople that if you knew they weren't going to buy, they wouldnt be as helpful, or in some cases answer ANY of your questions. If I were you, and I told them i wasnt buying today - if they still stuck around to help you then I'd be very happy - but 9 times out of 10 they tend to be rude and try to move on to another customer who will give them their commission.
  6. when I said there was a company who did the importing for you, he said not to bother. Too many duds come in yadayadayada.... I think he was just refering to importing in general, not specifically JM-Imports or anything. But I think he was just mad as he realised I knew of some other better companies who could get me a better car
  7. Jurgen - have no fear, if I import (which is likely) it WILL be from you Everyones been tellin me how good you are, and i wanna see for myself Lucas, my mate, is on here, and is after one. I believe you've already spoken to him about it anyway, so i'll get to see his choice and hear from him! I can't wait to get a supra!
  8. well my team are 2-0 down to bloomin bolton
  9. lol - its a shame they are sh*te really - so close to where i live! The silver supe still had random bits of bodykit in the boot, and the old speedo as it had been replaced with a different one. But yeh, they told me not to import through Jurgen, told me its a waste of time, and just to buy from uk stock. Looked at me funny when i told him what i drive and how much i think i'd get part-ex for it, and basically said to buy a supe and a rover, and sell my car. LOL - Rover.
  10. i had to park just on the corner of the road that you turn into - not enough room anywhere else. I was gonna say they used to have the warehouse behind them - they had some lovely cars when they owned that. Now they have the small patch at the front, and if i wanted a test drive they'd not have been able to manoevere (sp?) the car out anyway - it would have been blocked in by about 20 cars. Apparently they fit a lot of the kits to the cars too... they had a semi-nice MR2 that my missus liked with a kit - apparently they fitted it.
  11. ah ok - thats only 2 lies from them then. 1) The silver auto is still there - they told me it came in yesterday - up for £9995. 2) They told me tiptronic supra's didnt exist - EVER. Any tiptronic supra's are custom installs by the owner. From reading the docs etc on here - they DO EXIST - buttons on steering wheel. I always like to see if they know what they are talking about, and see if they know about the cars they are selling. Thats why i mentioned tiptronic - if he had answered right then i might have been a bit more interested, but from that point on I didnt really care. Black manual was still there too, but looked like it had been taken out recently. I wasn't going to buy from them, and never will. But I was using them for my research
  12. just the initial drop to make us feel slightly better before a hike back upwards in the not too distant future me thinks....
  13. As per title. Anyone used them before? I know they've been bought out so many times - my mum and dads FTO came from there many years ago (probably under a different name/management, mind) Basically they had a nice Silver TT there, was quite impressed myself. Its only just turned up apparently, 76km on the clock, £10k price tag. Anyway, thats not the point. How have people got on with this company? Are they any good? Just wanted to confirm that my personal opinion of them was that they do NOT know enough about the cars they sell for me to buy one from them. I know they've been owned by dodgy companies recently - is it still the case? Just interested to know, I'm very unlikely to buy from them after today's experience anyway.
  14. thanks mate! Well more of a - damn cars just too big.
  15. cool - cheers for the info. Anyone got the actual dimensions of the supra? Length and width is all i need
  16. D'oh - big problems my end again - not gonna be able to make it tonight Sorry peeps. Lucas - I'll speak to u later.
  17. ah well, bang goes that idea then Driveway and huge carport for working on then - and garage for locking it away! Don't want much, do I!?!
  18. sorry - u misunderstand - I don't live at my parents - i was just using them as an example with their fto. The partition is a load bearing thingy anyway - ripping it out would bring the roof down. I suppose I've got to look for a house with a garage, and then make sure there's plenty of flat drivespace to use as well.
  19. lambo doors? That will only cure the getting in/out problem - but not space to work on..... I think its going to be a tight fit. When I want to do any work, no doubt i'll have to hang the a*se end of the car out of the door, and work under the bonnet with the garage door over me head.
  20. i want somewhere warm/dry to work on my car - hence the garage. Also safe from people keying it when on the drive (i'm sure we've all seen the threads on here about it). Double garage is well out of the question - very limited in our budget to find a place with a garage at all tbh. Thanks Firepool - good luck with your hunt too!
  21. hmmmm, so basically if I parked a supra in a garage - would there be enough room in the garage (with door closed) to be able to walk around the car, and to do any work on it?? I'm thinking engine bay - possibly a bit of under car work (with a trolley jack)?? I'm thinking the trolley jack arm might not fit due to its length?
  22. Hey all... Basically I'm intrigued. My mum and dad own an *cough* FTO, and park it in their garage every night. They have a double garage, but it's got a partition on the front, seperating it into 2 doors. Now, who owns a garage and parks their supra in it??? How much space do you have once the Supra is in the garage? I'm assuming that most garages are the same size, and as my mum and dad struggle to get in/out of the car, or move about the car to work on it when its in the garage, I'm thinking the same problem will exist with the mk4 supra. Can people please let me know how they get on? Because I'm planning so far ahead - I'm actually looking to buy a house with a garage JUST FOR MY SUPRA!!! Thats how dedicated I am lol. Oh, and I did search, using the terms "garage", "garage supra" and "garage supra space" but i either got every thread possible or no threads at all
  23. excellent - not sure how long i can stay but should be able to get to pompey for 8. Wanna see some nice cars
  24. can i just confirm its 8pm near the arcades on the seafront?
