  3. dental floss, then remove any residual glue from paint work. Done this twice, first car came off easily with little glue. Second time there was plenty of glue left took hours to remove.
  4. I'd take the KAD's off, full set will be worth more than 'as part of the car' and you can pick up jap brakes for peanuts.

    Mountain run

Gentlemen, I'm thinking we should do another caerphilly mountain run one evening in July. I know a few of us can't make the regular monthly meet due to holidays etc... so looking for a date we can all do and see if we can get more than the 10 Supra's we had last time. Details will be meet at J30 m4, then convoy up to the mountain hut for some large burgers. Suggested evenings 8th July, 10th July 15th July or other dates?
  6. mine is simple Corolla AE82 (I think) 1.3 12v hand me down - proud of those 12v's for a D reg - Scrapped due to rusted fuel pipe (great car though) Renault 5 1.4 Campus - God awful car, which got written off over Ice and a telegraph pole Renault Clio 1.2 Bebop - Better than the 5, though probably less power, but at these levels it's very subjective - Scrapped due to numerous MOT failures Supra RZ - As per my garage and still my P&J BMW 320 - This was a £400 minter with welded diff, much joy was had, though changing wheels became impossible as the jack was going through the rusted sill repeatedly - Scrapped for £100 (cheap fun motoring) Auris (hire car) - made me realise why new cars are crap, terrible driving position, stupidly high ride, very disappointed with toyota - back to hire company to buy Skyline R33 GTS 2.5 - Still have (though for sale shortly), been a very reliable car and done lots of motorway miles in it Toyota Supra SZ - As per my garage, still my daily runner for now. Just to add never sold a car yet.
  7. Yeah that looks sweet with the white alloys.

    Rust issue

I did this too after looking at fixing it for a second time.
  9. How tight was the roundabout, how much lock did you have on? 15mph you will struggle to break traction unless you mash the throttle pedal, regardless of the tyres. Unless there is oil on the road, in which case you can have fun at 5mph.
  10. I thought the drifting was excellent this year, well worth watching at Quarry.
  11. looking at met office might be dry for most of the day too
  12. Does anyone know if you have to pay for your ticket as you enter the public car park? Or is it at the main gate or something?
  13. We go passed this anyway, we've got a couple of boys who don't have club stand passes so will have to park in the public car park.
  14. Chenco9 Alex341 plus some other non Supra's from Wales.
  15. There's another 2 Supras from Wales as well.
  16. For discs?! I paid £300 all round. Also I'd reccomend the CW fast road pads, as they felt a lot better than stock at 70+, also could be used on a track day if you ever go down that route.
  17. Looks nice and clean that. Are you importing it yourself?
  18. Sorry to thread hijack but I'm after a working stock ariel, so when someone has swapped over for the group buy please drop me a pm.
  19. Just to confirm that these timings work for us - Weather looks good should be epic.
  20. fuel guage - fill car up and then reset needle Speedo use a gps and then stick it on at 30 - maybe helpful to have a second person to do this. Rev counter - set based upon idle once the car has warmed up.
  21. Thanks for the comments, was feeling a bit unsure about fault, after the guy tried to claim I was over taking him on the bend He went in at the end of the lap so I assume he was on a cool down lap, just not using his mirrors.
  22. Have someone puling on the bonnet up while someone releases the lever. May take a couple of goes, this has worked for me on a number of cars.
  23. Video from last Saturday at Pembrey, I've re-wound it a bit so you can get a flavour prior to the near miss. Whether it's my fault or not, I'm not sure, but was definitley an eye opener and the closest I've been to contact in 5 years.
  24. still waiting Tim, if it turns up tomorrow I'll bring it, not that it really matters as we are convoying on the day.
