  1. if its out of sight it kinda defeats the purpose of it though......
  2. I gave up looking for one in the UK market and got mine imported. There has not been enough supply of 'good' Supras to meet demand for quite a few years. Mine was pure stock when it arrived and all I've done since as far as mods are concerned is change the wheels. I obviously kept the originals so it can easily go back to stock. If I do anything else, such as exhaust, I'll keep all the original parts. I think OEM will be attractive to future owners. Hell, I might even put an advert up with a 'I don't really wanna sell it' price just to see if it generates any interest lol.
  3. Am quite impressed with those. I laughed at some and thought you had just misunderstood what I had asked for - but no, they're all correct. Well done that man!
  4. I'd say polaroid and walkmans are maybes, but don't think the others are. DMs are DMs and aren't generally used as the name for other boots, nor are petrol filled lighters all refered to as Zippo.... - - - Updated - - - yup, good one
  5. I'm afraid not. I was sure it did count but then wikipedia proved me wrong :-(
  6. Fairy Liquid (washing up liquid) Go-Pro (action style camera)
  7. Having a quiet day in work and my team have started to try and think of everyday things that are actually brand names but have become the byword for the item We have come up with the following. Anyone have more? Hoover (vacuum cleaner) Allen keys (hex key) Sellotape (self adhesive tape) Biro (ball point pen) Velcro (hook & loop fastner) Lego (interlocking plastic bricks) Thermos (vacuum flask) Tupperware (plastic containers) Tipp-ex (correction fluid) Google (search engine)
  8. air con diagnostics..... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?329336-Air-conditioning-Test
  9. I remember seeing this when Newera Imports had it for sale originally a few years ago. A quick scan of their 'sold stock' shows it was POA and that were were some 'special conditions' that would need to apply if sold in the UK. Wonder what they were. I also had a look at some of their previously sold Supras. Oh, how cheap they seemed when looking now :-(
  10. Jurgens pricing seemed fair to me when I got mine, but I guess its all dependent on the prices of whats available in Japan at any given time. I did have my issues with the car, and some of these were things that couldn't have been known about but others were down to rushed/poor preparation before collection. I was fairly annoyed at the time, but all got sorted to my satisfaction and Jurgen was a man of his word. Keep us updated Sam.
  11. Good luck with your hunt Sam. Like you, I came from having a few GT-4s and MR2 turbos (along with many other 'interesting cars' on the way). I had been wanting a Supra for about 20 years and finally got one imported 6 months ago. They really are very special cars and draw a lot of positive looks and comments. Hope you find a good one, its worth the wait to get something you know is decent. I had a few 'issues' with mine after it arrived but all was resolved fairly quickly and its running smooth and sweet now. Great cars, with a great following. If I were to sell mine (and its an auto) I would be looking for around £16k for it. Strong money yes, but its a great low mileage car and priced so I keep it :-) Buy one soon if you can, as the general consensus is prices will keep going one way. Up.
  12. seems a fair price to me. A £50 saving over new. GLWTS, I would have had it if it weren't for the fact Xmas is around the corner :-( (BTW, I know you're not selling the first decat - but I always wondered why the first decat was more expensive than the second, especially as its so much shorter).
  13. somebody say 'big factory wing'?
  14. lol, I remember that Alfa with the 'Supra style' wing. I thought it looked awful on that car
  15. I think the title of this thread needs to change from 'brake' to 'clutch'
  16. I just went out in the snow for the first time in a Supra. Not doing that again. Roads that I never knew had an incline were barely drivable. I'm on new Avon ZZ5s, so not winter tyres at all.
  17. lol, I clicked on the photo of the white Supe loads of times to try and open more images - then saw the bit saying that clicking on a pic counts as a vote. Sorry (white ones are the best anyway)
  18. So, did you see images of it? (not sure when you say 'there were no pictures' if you meant there were no pictures allowed to be taken...)
