  1. I've just run the diagnostics on my aircon and it shows a problem with the solar sensor circuit. What does this do, and could it affect the lack of cold air I'm experiencing? Ta Michael
  2. Best thing to do is get an auto electrician on it. Could be soooo many things
  3. I've emailed them too and am awaiting a response. Don't suppose you have any pics? Did you just change the speedo or did you do them all?
  4. Hi all is there an available option whereby you can simply change the speedo dial face to read MPH on a facelift import turbo, rather than fitting a speedo converter? I'm fine with the odo still counting in KM, and thought that an easy solution would be to put in a new dial with markings in MPH (ie so that where the needle used to point at 100kph, it still points to the same place but the dial now shows this as 60mph) I couldn't find much on a search on here...... ta Michael
  5. I've looked for codes now and theres none stored. I did a ECU reset yesterday and no change. The warning lights are still flashing. Can't be a faulty fit of a speedo converter as it hasn't had one fitted. Kind of stumped now
  6. I'll do a full review of the car as supplied by JM-Imports in a few weeks. Reason for waiting is that I want to get the issues sorted and to give Jurgen the opportunity to do the right thing as far as costs are concerned. He's off on holiday from today, and I feel it would be unfair to write anything without giving him the chance to address any issues. As for the slip cont error, I'll check the codes at lunchtime and go from there..... cheers Michael
  7. Probably saying 'oi, feckwit, put your credit card in' Doubt it'll be tied into anything else but just wanting to check before removing it...
  8. Will do, just need to liberate a paper clip from work tomorrow...
  9. Hi, my Supra has a card reader fitted for Japanese toll roads that shouts at me in Japanese every time I start up. Am I ok to simply unplug and bin it or could it affect anything else? Ta Michael
  10. Hi all, hope you can give some advice to a newbie. 2nd day of ownership and just went to have a drive and found my SLIP CONT OFF and O/D OFF warning lights are flashing. I've checked the fuse and it's fine. Any pointers? (would take it back to Jurgen for diagnosis but he's at the other end of the county unfortunately) Ta Michael (PS it was fine yesterday and it doesn't have a speedo converter fitted)
  11. Weather was crap in Newcastle but almost six hours later I was home safe and sound, and it was sunny The car is lovely, really happy with it. A few things to do such as fit a speedo converter and get the aircon checked out as it doesn't blow cold (even though the compressor kicks in) Jurgen was very apologetic about these as they should have been done as part of the prep but I didn't spot them until I had got on the motorway for my journey home. The average speed limits were interesting when I wasn't sure what speed I was doing. He's sending me what I need to convert to mph. A few pics.....
  12. Up early today to go to the other end of the country to collect my Supra from JM-Imports. Really quite excited
  13. I've owned two ST205s, one standard and the other modded to around 330bhp. As standard, i was underwhelmed with the performance. I think there was quite a bit of power loss due to the transmission. The modded version was much better, but I only had it for six weeks as I got an offer on it I couldn't refuse. Fantastic looking motors in my opinion, but the 4wd wasn't anywhere near as good as something like an Evo5. They still seem to be good value for money, so if you need to scratch the itch do so before they go silly money. http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad333/muckyman1/88C1871D-66DD-48BB-B27C-88F25BC6883F.jpg
  14. interesting, especially the bit towards the end about driving a partners or spouses car. Was not aware
  15. I had a similar set up with an active silencer in an apexi exhaust on my MR2 Turbo. It was great! Many thanks to all for the pointers, and I'll do some youtube searches also. Gotta love this forum and the very quick & helpful responses
  16. Yeah, I did toy with the idea of getting JM to do the work as part of the cars prep but I really want to run it OEM for a bit and then BPU in order to feel the difference...
  17. Hi all, in just over a week I will be picking up my TT Supra from Jurgen. Its completely OEM and I'll be running that way for a short period of time before going BPU (maybe only a month or so, and likely getting done by Whifbitz). Any recommendations on exhaust options for BPU? (any experience on noise levels on the exhausts Whifbitz offer?) I don't want something loud all the time. Quiet for normal driving with a bit of noise on WOT is fine. cheers Michael
  18. .....only a few more weeks to wait! Sold the MR2 last weekend, so unfortunately getting the train to work. Timing would have been near perfect if the boat hadn't been delayed by two weeks, but that's just one of those things. Cars now been released from the port and I am getting quite excited about the prospect of taking ownership - especially as I joined on here 12 years ago and am only now getting one :-)
  19. Good to know its a 'Highly sort after VVVTi Model' ('Sought' not 'Sort', and lose a 'V')
  20. Lovely car, realistically priced too. GLWTS
  21. lovely engine bay, lovely wheels, lovely car... If I didn't have one on the way via Jurgen, I'd be on this one GLWTS
