  1. lovely car. If you (or the new owner) fancy swapping the wheels for some standard facelift OEM ones, give me a shout (doubtful, but you never know...)
  2. Car got collected last night and has now landed back at JM. Fingers crossed that all the issues will get sorted easily enough (battery not getting charge, traction control fault, speedo converter, rear spats fitment and paintwork condition) Really looking forward to getting it back and finally enjoying it. It may take a bit of time, but it'll be worth it. Will update as I get news......
  3. Looking really good! What did you do with the wheels you took off?

Mine is saying I'm at 2% of my limit, and it's not working unless I pay...
  5. Because ba$tard photobucket has broken all links to all pictures worldwide unless you pay the $39.99 a month! Forums, eBay etc are gonna be shit for a while...

I had an email from them this morning to say this, thought it was a scam email so ignored it. Seems it's true though. Any advice for an alternate image hosting site?
  7. Don't think my issues are the same as yours as my speedo converter isn't fitted yet. Do let us know if you get it resolved though...
  8. Jurgen has arranged some transportation to get the car back to his workshop. It's being picked up and transported to JM next Tuesday. I hope to collect on the Saturday. Fingers crossed all will be good
  9. Also, just to say, I've worked in retail for 30 years and know the importance of customer feedback. I've also witnessed the emergence of the internet and how beneficial and damaging it can be to a businesses reputation. I'm very aware of the power of google searches and am always ready to accept issues and work to an amicable solution. It's what customer service is all about. As I mentioned before, I'll do a full review of my experience with having a car imported but only once the 'transaction' is finished in my eyes. Just because it's all paid for doesn't mean it's finished. I will not get into posting negative comments or 'character assassination'. I will simply give my opinion of my experience as facts and leave it there. Thanks for all the advice so far guys, it's a good forum and I hope it remains so for a long time Michael
  10. Didn't think the thread I started asking for some advice would end up like this, but that's public forums for you I guess. All I want are my issues sorted and I was chatting with Jurgen last night on email to try and get that done. I know what I think is fair and reasonable for both myself and Jurgen and I've emailed that and await his reply..... As always, I try to keep it factual and hopefully don't get emotional in what I post. I will update as things progress, but I'm still hopeful I will get a fault free car in the near future. Cheers Michael
  11. may take you up on that, assuming the UK is the same as JDM (?) Can you PM me a price, delivered? cheers Michael
  12. I'm DEFINITELY not suggesting that. Can't understand why others would when they haven't even seen the car. To reiterate - I am not, and have not, suggested that the odo is anything other than genuine. I do have issues with the car, both mechanically and in the prep provided by Jurgen. I'll await his return from holiday so he has the opportunity to put these right (not all have been mentioned on here) and will write a fact based review of the car, JM-Imports, and my experience of having a car imported. ta Michael
  13. what do you charge for a new alternator? ta Michael
  14. Hopefully the AA will confirm when they arrive. Edited for update - AA confirmed the battery isn't charging and all fuses are OK. Looks like it'll need to go to the garage when it can be fitted in. It's a bit of a bugger as I'm off on holiday from tomorrow and had planned road trips in my 'new car' next week
  15. FFS!!! Next problems with this bloody car! Just went to go for a drive and got hit with a load of warning lights. Red master warning light Low oil level Overheating cat Bulb warning Battery No bulbs are out. Oil level is fine. No codes stored. Reset didn't change anything. Awaiting the AA now. The sooner Jurgen gets back off holiday the better. Seriously getting pi$$ed off with these problems now.
  16. this tells you how to do it and explains the codes.... http://www.jack-frost.co.uk/toyota_supra_air_con.html
  17. Aircon is now frosty cold. Just needed a regas. Jurgen sent me a speedo converter in the post but I'll have to get that fitted by a garage as I don't want to mess it up, plus I want paperwork stating the odometer reading when it changed from KM to miles. Jurgen has promised to call me on his return from holidays regarding the issues, and I'll update here as I get news...
  18. Could anyone give recommendations for anyone who can do a paint restoration valet in the St Albans area (Hertfordshire). Ideally need a machine polish on my white Supe ta Michael
  19. I'll drop JM an email to either sort agreement for a local garage to fix for me or to arrange them to do it. Will update when I get news..
  20. thanks for all the info and advice guys. I'll get the car into my local Jap specialist (Japex in Kings Langley, who I have used for years and rate very highly) and get them to recharge the aircon, fit the speedo convertor -when Jurgen sends it to me- and diagnose & fix the error codes on the traction control. I'll pay for this and then forward the invoices to JM for them to reimburse me. I'm not after any freebies such as leather seats, or compensation over & above the cost to put right, I just want the car to be the way it should be. For me, that feels very fair.
  21. A bit of an update, and another question..... I've now checked for codes in TRAC by bridging E1 and TC1. This gives me the following codes.. SLIP LIGHT flashes to indicate codes 11 & 51 ABS light flashes to indicate codes 13 & 34 Can anyone tell me what these relate to, or give any pointers of what i can check next? ta Michael
  22. gotta love this forum. Super detailed responses - many thanks all!
  23. Ahh, right - it was in the garage so likely not a fault. Yes, the revs rise and drop in time with switching it on and off. There's no unusual noises from the internal fan regardless of the speed setting - it's just not cold. It's 'cool' at best but nowhere near as cold as on 90s Jap cars I've owned before...
  24. They'll do a 130 version on request. Just email them. Think there's a few weeks lead time.
