  1. Absolutely mint that...I love black Supras. Amazing price too for such low mileage all the bit you're throwing in.
  2. ...until renewal time comes:rolleyes: A-Plan for me last 3 years...no agreed value either but beat Sky by a fair margin. Good if you have a proven history of owning fast cars without putting them through a hedge.
  3. Bad Luck mate, sorry to hear that, looks like a lot of effort went into your car.
  4. Just a few comments really to help anyone else thinking of fitting these...had some old IK24's in there before which weren't as bad as I expected when I removed them but obviously had seen better days. Tried the new NGK's and noticed the following: Solved a misfire problem at high boost (tried 1.2 bar with no issues) Slightly more difficult starting, maybe 1 sec extra of starter motor before catching Very slightly wavering idle compared to the IK's Like for like coil pack fitment I think generally these are a heat range lower then really needed for a BPU (BKR7EIX would be fine probably) but I am happy enough for £5.50 each. All this on a UK spec BPU+ (FMIC) Auto.
  5. Excellent...I feel much happier now then..plug change should sort it out! Cheers for the advice.
  6. I'd guess about 20k miles Homer but maybe up to 30k, Dave the previous owner probably swapped them when he went BPU, not sure if another set went in more recently. The BK EIX iridium's are already on the way (a change will not hurt regardless) but i might get the cheapo ones in there first like you say and see if it solves it. There was no problem with the car until I went for a 1.3/1.4 bar run...just into 3rd it started popping and my spotters on the bank said it sounded pretty rough. Haven't experimented too much since but there's defo something amiss:(
  7. Hi all, I'm after a few opinions! As above, whilst running at the pod this weekend, the Sup developed a misfire above 1.0 bar (usually run at 1.25 / 1.3 bar UK spec TT Auto). Turned the boost down and drove 150 miles home with no problems, but the car didn't seem to pick up quite as well as normal. Doing a search, plugs seems to be the first thing to try so I've got some NGK BKR8EIX Iridium's on order (Oldish IK24's in there at the moment). The weird thing is my first turbo is now making a bit more compressor stall type noises at moderate throttle and the car seems very slightly more hesitant all through the revs. It sometimes did it occasionally when I was in the area around 1/2 throttle and backed off but now it is quite noticeable more often even when not intending to accelerate too hard. Could this be because the poor spark is lowering compression slightly so it has to work harder to move the car at the same speed? I'm a bit paranoid as I've read the horror stories about Iridium's tips causing turbo damage etc. The car generally drives OK though, although I can notice a slight popping here and there on the overrun and very slight wobble at idle which wasn't there before.
  8. No these were fitted a few (maybe as many as 4) years ago by the previous owner. Whatever has held them on was in three globs...the rest of the kit is fine so I imagine is pretty decent bonding / glue of some sort. I'll try some tiger seal then thanks...just have to wait for some dry weather to sort it:rolleyes:
  9. All this incessant rain has caused my veisldie skirt to come away from the bonding stuff used to stick it on near the front arch. I know the skirts are not the best fit (the other side has a slight gap) but this looks poo as you can see three specific lumps of the glue. Is there anything I can buy off the shelf that might re-stick it quickly? Don't want to have to have somewhere take the whole skirt off and re-bond it
  10. I'll be there...still have my ticket from the monsoon:)
  11. For me I think only an R34 could tempt me, but for now they're out of reach money wise. Maybe in a few years....
  12. Yup, A-plan for me as well, have been with them for 3 years now and they're always the cheapest (including Sky who as said don't do agreed value for new customers now anyway) As a preemptive strike, i have made a covering letter, full list of mods and taken lots of photos of the Sup and sent it to them as a pack to keep on record....probably will make very little difference but anything to show that its not your avarage 100k mile Parkers Guide bottom line type car.

    Kai Tak Drifting

Cool! Kai Tak was an awesome airport, not least for the amount of planes that landed at extremely odd angles! Isn't it planned to be re-developed when they build that big dome type plaza on the Kowloon side?
  14. Wow...great car. I hope this goes for more than I've just paid for mine! A black single turbo manual is the ultimate for me. Note to self......stop browsing the for sale section:drool:
  15. Looks a decent deal? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170114314017&ssPageName=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX&refitem=220114514067&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&refwidgettype=osi_widget

  18. Got back about an hour ago myself. Shame it was such a washout but nice to meet a few members (forgotten all the names!) and see some awesome Supras. Think I counted about 80ish in total including a few not in the club area:thumbs:
