  1. Had a look in the back of Banzai mag? A comprehensive directory of Jap car clubs in there

Almost. It stops the box from selecting a lower gear - similar to a manual but not so much engine braking:)

Just to the left of the gear selector marked 'Manu'
  4. Have a look for N/A-T on the search button mate - there's loads of info available. :)
  5. Wouldn't hurt to get the tracking/alignment checked mate - not expensive and at least you can then eliminate one possible cause:)
  6. Well done for reminding us of this vid mate :)

I do pretty much the same i.e. D for normal pootling, OD off for more spirrited driving (and 2nd) and often use 2nd and 3rd for a little assistance with braking. Haven't had a chance to try it with my UK brakes yet - they've been sat on the car for a couple of weeks now and still not actually done anything
  8. Glad it worked out relatively cheaply and easily :)
  9. Tell 'em to just keep going - it'll come out there at the end anyway - save having two procedures LOL:d

Seems to work either way for me so I don't bother with the manual mode most of the time - just od off, 1st, 2nd, D, od on
  11. LOL - the wife had to have a colonoscopy recently - glad it was her and not me!!!!

Works fine - just don't forget to change or you'll end up bouncing off the rev limiter
  13. Problem is - if it turned out to be a 12yr old joyrider who was shot by the Police can you imagine the uproar? I quite agree though - the Police do need more in the way of sidearms etc. but only with specialist training.
  14. Use the base rather than trying to slap the window with the baton:) Good advert for tough glass on the Celica though. Feel for the poor sod in the learner car:(

  16. Glad you got it sorted - much easier than the cam belt tensioner too:)

    ECU for NA

If that doesn't work there's one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-TOYOTA-ENGINE-ECU-FOR-3000CC-AUTO-SUPRA-LEXUS_W0QQitemZ110048776913QQihZ001QQcategoryZ10428QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I know it's an auto one but apparently it will work fine on a manual (the problem is when you try to go the other way) or try absxxx on here:)
  18. .........he can also get you a right-way-up steering wheel :) ok, I know it's actually CJ's pic LOL
  19. :) Definitely gonna go for a garage barbeque weekend after this

    (+ customs 'handling fee') grr...

    Import tax.

Nope - if you can persuade the poster to gift wrap it you're home and dry:) The other one for car parts is to have them labelled as experimental or developmental with no commercial/retail value

  23. Cheers mate - hopefully absxxx is bringing me down a replacement lump so I'll spend a few evenings swapping over all the ancillaries and then kidnap Matt Harwood and Migster to fit it for me the following weekend:) Might have a laff and do a 'garage bbq' - bring tools, bring beer and a bbq going on in the corner of the garage to feed the workers
  24. Hey Stupra! Got a replacement engine arriving on Sunday (hopefully ) - wanna pop round and give me a hand to unload it (we can check your wheels on my UK brakes at the same time). Dave F - more than welcome to come and play too :)
